  1. 331 Sqn of the Hellenic Air Force is celebrating its 30th anniversary in May 2018 and I wanted to produce something about it. Unfortunately as far as Hellenic M-2000's are concerned, the HAF hasn't been very busy regarding paint schemes. All they did was add roundels and a few squadron details here and there over the french camouflage. The official hellenic livery that was produced by RAZBAM for 332 squadron is how all Hellenic Mirages look like more or less. And then there is this beauty that has already been very tastefully produced. On a side note, this aircraft does not exist any more as it crashed into the Aegean sea a few years back with no casualties. To make a long story short, I had to resort to my imagination and produce fictional liveries based on paint schemes used by the HAF on other type of fighter aircraft... Download: Click Here
  2. Thanks Strut, you are very kind All three downloads are now available, please find the links in the opening post!
  3. Truth be told, I am not the guy who tries everything and then decides what fits him best, so I haven't thoroughly tested all setting. I just use the following two and all works well: 1 is to preserve layer opacity in cases such as the F-5e's drag-chute which has holes in it. 2 is to generate mip maps eager to hear if anyone else has something more to pitch in. Cheers
  4. The Royal Hellenic Airforce (RHAF) received its first spitfire MkV fighters during late 1943. These were issued to the RAF’s two Hellenic squadrons fighting in N. Africa, 335 and 336. The two squadrons later moved to Italy from where missions over occupied Greece and the Balkans were also flown. The two squadrons returned to Greece in late 1944. Most spitfires used by the RHAF were finished in the “Day fighter scheme” with dark green and ocean grey for the top surfaces and medium sea grey for the lower surfaces. A small number of aircraft seem to have been finished in the “Desert scheme” with dark earth and mid stone for the upper surfaces and azure blue for the lower surfaces. British national markings were carried according to RAF regulations. Hellenic national insignia did not begin to be used before the two squadrons’ repatriation, but even then not universally as the aircraft were still officially property of the RAF. The aircraft were gradually handed over to Greece, this process lasting well into 1946. The fuselage insignia were the first to be changed usually by overpainting the red center circle in blue. Wing roundels remained British for longer and in many cases a complete set of Hellenic insignia was not applied before 1946, leading to many interesting variations and marking mixes! After being handed over to the RHAF the aircraft were gradually repainted and remarked, although their finishes were still far from uniform. The aircraft continued to be used operationally during the 1945 – 1949 Hellenic Civil War and also continued in service into the 1950s. The names given (eg blowhorn) are not always historically accurate. I just wanted to make each livery distinguishable in the game apart from their numbers Apart from the above 10 historically accurate liveries, there is a separate download with 4 generic liveries which feature dynamic number suitable for mission builders. Fun fact!: The bare metal liveries have red chassis, thus when shot they look like they are bleeding!!! The two ladies serving as pin-up backgrounds for my presentation were rendered by me using purchased 3D models and there was no effort what so ever to make them historically accurate! They're just eye candy and as a bonus here is a spitfire wallpaper: If you liked it, feel free to browse my deviantart gallery. 5. It's not that your livery will not work without mip maps but they increase rendering speed and reduce aliasing artifacts.
  6. Fantastic work!

    Well Done!

  9. Thank you SkateZilla  At least now I know it works. Looks like I have some investigating to do. **Cleans spectacles** :geek:
  10. Unfortunately the pilot is dead. R.I.P.
  11. Thanks for the effort Strut, please share your conclusions.
  12. That right there...
  13. - Have all flyable aircraft received their texture updates to be compliant with the 2.5 environment and if not is there a list with which ones have? My guess for instance is that the F-5e hasn't been updated yet, am I right? - Has anybody else noticed that no matter what SPEC or Roughmet texture you use for the Spitfire, it makes no difference whatsoever to the actual model? Am I missing something? Cheers
  14. In layman terms ... My stick needs a bigger amount of deadzone on the roll axis when I roll left than when I roll right!!! Currently there is only one mirrored setting which equally increases the deadzone on both sides of the axis, unless ofcourse I am such a noob that I can't find it. :noexpression:Please?:noexpression:
  15. Does this product have a twist axis for rudder assignment? Are there any retailers for Greece? thank you
  16. Fantastic work Rick, very well done!
  17. +1

    Demos

No less than a 10 day I guess. Just to learn the basics and have a good feel of the aircraft in order to decide if you wish to buy or not.
  19. When buying a module, instead of getting bonus for my next purchase, I would prefer to be given the opportunity to test drive a module I do not own for a limited time which would start when I choose it to and for a module of my preference. Simple really...
  20. Oh! I thought current meant already present! My bad
  21. Hello I am unable to find the LCVP Higgins in the mission Editor. Under which country is it?
  22. Merry Christmas :)
  23. Very unhappy with this model's quality, especially the cockpit. Definitely not worth it's price. I had to improvise a lot in order to remedy various inconsistencies compared to the actual bird and achieve this result. Thank you, I am happy you like it. http://www.hobbyboss.com/index.php?g=home&m=product&a=show&id=589&l=en
