DCS: J-11A Complete English Cockpit Mod
Dutch Baron replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hello all, I took liberty to edit Devrim's AWESOME work to change the yellow tint on the canopy to be clear again. The ZIP file contains the complete 'Liveries' folder, but then with both SU27 and J11A in there, install it exactly like Devrim posted, but now you don't need to rename a folder to J11A. I used the No Yellow Tint Mod from 'Sneeke' to make this, so credits go out to him for making the yellow tint disappear. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2802618/?sphrase_id=9845496 @Devrim feel free to add this to your own files and share it as a complete package (I am not looking for any mention of my name anywhere, just here to help out a bit ;). Input Devices Re-Initialisation
Dutch Baron replied to Dutch Baron's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Hey guys, Sorry to hear you are experiencing the same nasty issues. I have asked many times for a feature to turn off the hot plug function, but unfortunately it seems like the moderators and ED Team is completely ignoring this thread for a long time..... In 2.5 the issue was gone completely for a month, until the last update it is back again. As long as nobody from ED seems to reply to us here I feel this might be a problem for many more moons to come.... I even provided all requested logs and dxdiag but still no reply from moderators and ED. Good luck fellas! -
Hello all, Will AI units ever be modeled in a way that they can NOT see through trees and buildings? I was expecting that with 2.5 and the collidable trees, it would also be for AI and thereby drastically improving DCS realism to super awesome levels? After numerous tests I found that AI still sees clients from anywhere anytime, client fired missiles go straight through trees and AI fired missiles go through trees as well. Thanks for any answer from ED.

Input Devices Re-Initialisation
Dutch Baron replied to Dutch Baron's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Hello all, Thanks ED for the new update of 2.5, a lot of issues are solved but still a few are left. I never got around posting this, but since the 2.5 version 2018-02-14 HOTFIX 3, I had NO ISSUES AT ALL with this input device re-initialisation, it was COMPLETELY SOLVED and I could again use ALL buttons on my TM Warthog. There were no more entries in the logs, apart from the initial init at mission start, I WAS SUPER HAPPY!!! But now, after this week's updates, the issue is back :( I have numerous entries again in the logs, and I am again faced with PHANTOM CLICKS on my TM Warthog Throttle, which in my case caused for autopilot to turn on/off and electric systems on/off etc. This of course depends on which buttons you assigned. So ED, it seems you had fixed it and it's back again, any chance you guys are willing to look into this? Logs and DXDiag are attached, thanks! dcs.rar DxDiag.rar -
Guide: Switching a Country's Coalition Manually
Dutch Baron replied to Sephki's topic in Mission Editor
Thanks for making the 'aircraft chart', I have been meaning to do that for a long time, and the fact it's even updated to today's standard is awesome! And good of you to point to the Coalition Mod in this thread, very nice of you. -
Wow..... simply WOW!!! Thanks soooo much for this GREAT new Caucasus Map and for the 2.5 OB Release. Long awaited..... played for 5 minutes and AMAZED!! Keep it up guys........ I know this must have been some long days and sleepless nights, it's worth it and from the bottom of my heart I thank ALL members of EAGLE DYNAMICS. Spasibo!

Ability to set planes waypoints in game
Dutch Baron replied to sylkhan's topic in DCS Core Wish List
+1 for having the option to define your own waypoints in any MP mission. I agree to have this option only when parked on a friendly airbase. Pre planned waypoints are completely useless in a longer running, dynamic MP mission. -
No more multiplayers server..
Dutch Baron replied to Decibel dB's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
I have similar issues, on any given time since the last update, I see 23, 24 or 25 servers listed. Never more than 25, never less than 23. If I refresh, it seems to populate random servers, but with the amount limit. So different servers, pretty much every refresh, but still 23-25 servers. CONNECT BY IP works, even if I do not see that server in my list. FLUSH DNS did not resolve it for me. -
Hello all, We from The Art of Warfare (TAW.net - TAWDCS.org) have been experiencing the EXACT same issues for months now. Looking at your video, it is exactly what we see when the issues occur in our missions. We have these issues usually when we have more than 30 players online. But in the past months we had some occasions, where even a 15 player SATAC mission, with no scripts, triggers caused mass disconnect/lag, but that's been a month ago and I think the disconnect issue is fixed now. Just saying that the number of players does not seem to be directly related, maybe.... It seems that when the server/mission is freshly started, everyone jumps in the pit, takes off, flies to the AO and just about when we get to the first engagements, the LAG/WARP starts. What usually happened the last months, is that at that very moment, mass disconnects start happening. But yesterday we had almost 40 players online, we got the LAG/WARP, but no disconnects (probably due to the latest DCS update). Then every time the LAG/WARP happens, it takes 5-10 minutes, if you then rejoin the server, or wait for that time, after that the server is running fine for the next 2 hours. Yesterday we also had a MLRS in COMBINED ARMS controlled by a member, when he fired 20 missiles, DCS started warping a little bit. I have also seen that on some occasions, when looking at CPU status on the server, that the NUMBER 8 CPU is completely swamped 100% when the issues occur. All other 7 CPU/Threads are almost idling. ** I would like to share a situation in many DCS communities/servers ** I need to say that because of these issues, a lot of communities are negatively affected due to members becoming agitated with the problems, that keep on going time after time. It is VERY hard to manage such a community with many ACTIVE, DCS LOVING members. We in TAW now have 95 ACTIVE DCS members. So when there are project teams of DCS enthusiasts, spending COUNTLESS hours of their FREE time in designing, creating, testing missions, then creating briefings, only to find that all the work for this week's community mission almost went to waste, because the DCS server crashes/warps/lags/disconnects. This is just a slap in the face for all those hard working guys out there. There will be some members who start thinking it's the MISSION DESIGNER who messed up some scripts/triggers in the mission, some think it's the server so we need to find and rent new servers, some blame DCS, some blame specific DCS modules and some blame Windows...... Then it's a total struggle for leaders to try and find the reason in either the server/mission/module/Windows, and in the mean time trying to ease the minds of all involved. **** I am sure that DCS MP Customers would very much appreciate if the MP section of DCS gets some extra LOVE and ATTENTION from you guys of ED..... I know 2.5 is around the corner, but a few words from ED regarding the MP may do a lot of good in DCS communities world wide.... Like the 'LETTER FROM ED' you guys recently did. That great letter cleared a lot of the lingering questionable feelings in the DCS communities. I really wish you could a letter like that for the MULTIPLAYER community specifically, since we seem to be a special breed within DCS. Like for instance the..... dare I say it out loud...... yes I dare: DEDICATED SERVER? **** I have been trying to isolate the problem, trying to find the cause with a group of very knowledgeable members, but we still haven't been able to find the cause. Missions that have been running fine for YEARS, suddenly have issues. These missions are ALWAYS re-saved if a new DCS update has arrived. I really don't know what the reason is for the issues, and I am fatigued by endlessly trying to find it. I have many TacView files, LOG files, Track files, and recently the new DCS ERROR LOGGING files from our servers. If someone from EAGLE DYNAMICS is willing to take a look at them and willing to try and help a struggling community of paying DCS customers, I would be REALLY happy to provide you with anything you ask! For this I will create TIME, MONEY, FILES, move MOUNTAINS, whatever you want ;) Is there any way ED could provide us with a document, where it states what the maximum amount of players (clients), static units, AI ON units, moving units, explosions etc. are in order to maintain a proper running server. So if ED can tell us: if you have this and this, then we GUARANTEE the proper working of DCS on your server. TAW SERVERS SPECS: WINDOWS 2012 R2 CPU: i7-6700k RAM: 64Gb SSD Disks GPU: Onboard INTEL HD Graphics (but 3D Rendering is turned OFF for DCS) Thanks so much for any response!

Neutral side
Dutch Baron replied to ESAc_matador's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
+1 This has been asked many times in several threads and I really really hope ED would at least acknowledge if multiple coalitions would be implemented in the future or not. This option would make for such a diverse new setup in missions, that it would be a complete game changer. E.g. Think of multiple squadron matches, where for instance 6 different factions would be fighting for control. Would be awesome to have in DCS. -
Input Devices Re-Initialisation
Dutch Baron replied to Dutch Baron's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Hi Olmba, Thanks for your report. I have tried to do what you suggested, but I can't find this option of HD/AC97 in my bios. Could you please explain a bit more where I can find this option, maybe with a screenshot? As far as I know this is a physical connection on the motherboard towards the front panel audio module, where the HD connector is a little different from the AC97 connector (wire connections), I don't even have the AC97 connector on my PC. I have also disabled the realtek audio card completely, but this did not solve the issue at all, and of course I would not have any audio with the realtek disabled. If this turns out to be the fix I have been looking for all this time, I will buy you a beer ; Thanks for the help! -
Hello dedicated MiG-21Bis and F-5E pilots, We from The Art of Warfare - DCS Division, are looking to expand our squadrons with dedicated MiG-21 and F-5E pilots. We want to integrate these airframes in our modern war era missions, as these airframes are still in use today by several real life defence forces. We also want to create separate dedicated 'cold war era' missions, on other evenings than the all out TAW DCS weekly event on Sunday evenings 18:45 ZULU (for EU) and Monday 00:45 ZULU (for North America). With the anticipation of more cold war era modules being developed (F-4 and SU-17 hopefully), we want to start already with the existing airframes from that period. So initially all new pilots will be flying with us on Sundays, but as soon as we have enough dedicated MiG-21 and F-5E pilots we can look into dedicated missions on Fridays or Saturdays. We already have many Viggen pilots, and a lot of our current !! 85 !! active members in TAW own cold war era modules and they are very eager to fly on these other events as well. We have 2 battalions in TAW, one in EUROPE and one in NORTH AMERICA. So depending on your time zone, we have the exact same events running every day for each of the 2 time zone areas. We have 2 servers in EUROPE and 2 servers in NORTH AMERICA. We run all theatres like currently Caucasus, Nevada and Normandy. Due to the fact that not everyone owns the optional maps, our weekly mandatory events are run on Caucasus, so we do not exclude people. Optional events can run on any of the current maps. Since we have no existing squadrons at this moment, any experienced pilots with some leadership skills will have the chance to lead and develop a squadron. We will of course help you all develop and provide documentation and trainings. Any motivated and active pilots interested? Then visit http://www.TAWDCS.org (which is the special website for the DCS Division in TAW) and see what we are about. If interested you can follow the JOIN TAW link and sign up. Just to be clear, we are not looking for so called 'sunday fliers' (pilots who show up on Sunday only and who do not read briefings and have very little participation), but we are looking for people who have teamplay, teamwork, motivation and dedication as their standards, but having FUN is of course the main reason. I wish you all BLUE SKIES!!! -- Dutch Baron -- Division Commander TAW DCS

I'm trying to find a canada- based virtual squadron
Dutch Baron replied to SkeeterDu's topic in Multiplayer
Hi SkeeterDu, You can try TAW, we have a North American Division and the server is based in Canada and we have a few Canadian members, is that also ok ;) ? Check http://www.TAWDCS.org for more information. Hope to see you around! -

@Kapsu (the Champ!) Wow awesome video there, Kapsu!!! I enjoyed watching that and i'm sure many more will do too. Do you mind if we use that video for our compilation video as well? And many thanks to all the great responses here, we enjoyed organizing this and look forward to next week for the 2 vs 2 event. @microvax Thanks for canceling your entry, much appreciated and hopefully your joystick will be up and running again soon. @rhinox Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed waching it too. Regarding the rules, it was allowed to do G-Warmup as long as the merge was within approximately 1000ft/300m of the players and close to the meant merge point (Bulls/WP1) and around the altitude of 5000m/16000ft.

Input Devices Re-Initialisation
Dutch Baron replied to Dutch Baron's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Hello all, So after ordering the 5 port USB card, I installed it and was not surprised to see my issue has NOT been resolved by this USB card. I do have over 25 Euros less in the bank, but I gained 5 USB ports, whooopeeee!!!.... Just to be clear, I never heard any USB sound from being plugged/unplugged while flying in DCS, so I did not expect this USB card to solve the issue, but after being so desperate I am willing to do just about anything, except throwing more money at this problem. After reading CiriBob's comment, regarding the RealTek audio card, I tried something that gave me a big shocker..... So what did I do: While in DCS and looking at the live log (using LogExpert), I removed my 3.5mm headset jack plug from the socket and BOOOOM!!!! the log filled up with re-initializations. When plugging it back in BOOOOM!!! again the log filled with entries. My log entries look like this: 00562.344 INFO INPUT: Device [Joystick - HOTAS Warthog {7B9A4200-572D-11e5-8002-444553540000}] created deviceId = 174 00562.344 INFO INPUT: Joystick created[Joystick - HOTAS Warthog {7B9A4200-572D-11e5-8002-444553540000}], ForceFeedBack: no 00562.345 INFO INPUT: Device [Throttle - HOTAS Warthog {7ADB85E0-572D-11e5-8001-444553540000}] created deviceId = 175 00562.345 INFO INPUT: Joystick created[Throttle - HOTAS Warthog {7ADB85E0-572D-11e5-8001-444553540000}], ForceFeedBack: no 00562.369 INFO INPUT: Device [Keyboard] created deviceId = 176 This is the ultimate proof that the hotplug functionality is the culprit here. I my case it seems the RealTek audio card is the system affected by this, but CiriBob's suggestion to disable the RealTek is not an option for me, as this RealTek is my main and only sound system. I updated all related drivers, but still have this issue. As stated before, this issue appeared after a DCS update, most likely related to the hot-plug option. Again, I hope ED can finally arrange a hotfix, or a procedure to turn this option off altogether, so all those players with this issue can possibly be helped, looking at the amount of views and responses in this thread, we are not alone in this situation. I expect I will get some answers like, buy a new or another audio card, but why on earth would I buy a new card, while I have one in perfect working order, and the only situation where the issue occurs is in DCS and it has NEVER happened before this specific update over !! 1 year !! ago. I started this thread 07-11-2016. So please my dear people of ED, can you PLEASE provide us with a hotfix or procedure or even a MOD to turn the hotplug functionality off and see if this fixes our extremely frustrating issues that many of us have been experiencing for over 1 year? I know ED is VERY busy with all kinds of great stuff for the future, but a fair share of your paying customers have issues with the DCS RELEASE version, meaning the correct working version for paying customers, where these paying customers do have a right to ask for a fix on certain issues they are facing with the consumer product. I am not ranting or trying to offend anyone, but I do expect that any professional company can understand that consumers can be very much frustrated by issues they are experiencing, especially for such a long time and during EVERY single flight they do in DCS. Me being an active community member of TAW, means I fly a lot and do a lot with/for DCS. So I hope BigNewy, SkateZilla or SithSpawn are willing to communicate this to ED and let me know the results of this communication. Much appreciated and thanks for taking the time to read this. P.s. Please note that my emotions regarding DCS are high, but the only reason for that is that I LOVE DCS! -
