  1. I understand that it might be a difficult technical task to achieve, but I hope ED will indeed focus on this issue soon. See here a thread I posted a while ago, asking for some help on the issues we have in Naval Operations: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=239213 Currently I spawn 6 carriers in order to get around 30 pilots to be able to spawn and take off in a relatively swift manner, which forces me to make 6 x TACAN, ICLS and briefing notes and it looks not so nice with 6 carriers in close proximity. Let's hope ED hears our concerns and bring us the option to spawn clients as if they are statics that we can place on the deck. Indeed it's up to the mission creator to decide where and how many planes can spawn, which could potentially cause a recovering plane to crash into a just spawned plane on the deck. But if you fly a mission in a realistic manner with a large group of pilots, normally there will be no spawning during Charlie time recoveries.
  2. Hello all, We are looking for more pilots to join our group of enthusiasts. Specifically AV-8B pilots, F-14B pilots and RIO's, helicopter pilots and F/A-18C pilots. If you are looking for in depth training that is very realistic and a great group of friends to fly realistic campaigns with, consider to check out our website and join us if you are interested. Thanks a lot and have a wonderful day!
  3. +1 Please see my suggestion from long ago: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=219587
  4. Would anyone else like to see this implemented in the ME?
  5. Does anyone else hope to see this implemented in DCS?! Some responses on this topic might persuade ED to do it, who knows...
  6. Any response from HB to confirm they have seen this or not? Thanks!
  7. Hi, thanks for your response. Please consider looking into our group at http://www.TAWDCS.org and check out the 52nd Battalion, which is our European branch and we have several squadrons with dedicated dogfighting and it's a great active community. If interested you can click 'JOIN TAW' on the top right of the website. Kind regards, Dutch Baron.
  8. Hi, Please have a look at TAWDCS.org for the 33rd NA Battalion, this is our active community with mostly North American members flying missions and training in the US Time Zones. If you are interested you can click JOIN TAW on the top right of the website. Kindest regards, Dutch Baron
  9. Hi, where are you from, what time zone specifically.
  10. Hello dear people from Eagle Dynamics :) Thanks for your great products, I use it daily with lots of pleasure! Although having lots of pleasure, it is not without problems. I have a few questions: Question 1: I am talking on behalf of TAWDCS.org which is a community of currently 130 active pilots from Europe, United States and Middle East. Since the release of the HORNET and TOMCAT, but also the HARRIER we have also adapted to NAVAL OPERATIONS on carriers. We are having MASSIVE issues and problems with SPAWNING on the carriers. Since we use scripts like CTLD, MIST, MOOSE and other unique scripts to manage carrier operations, it's impossible to have more than 1 UNIT in a GROUP, otherwise certain scripting functions do not work as intended. Are you guys working on a way to add as many as a carrier deck can fit of CLIENT SPAWNED single UNIT GROUPS on carriers? Where we (mission designers) can place CLIENT units on a carriers just like we can add STATIC units on carriers?? As ED is giving us a platform to simulate NAVAL OPS, this limitation is breaking the immersion is more ways than can be written in text. Currently I need to add 6 carriers or more in order to have everyone able to spawn relatively at the same time. This means I need to make 6 x TACAN, 6 x CARRIER FREQ, 6 x ICLS, while it should be feasible as in real life to get 24 planes airborne off of 1 single carrier during a cycle. There are numerous threads about the DECK SPAWNING issue, but I have not seen an official ED representative response. There are many bigger DCS groups in the world that would THANK ED SOOOO MUCH, if you can try and provide us a beautiful solution, so the core of Naval Operations is good enough to get large client missions running of off single carriers. Would someone from EAGLE DYNAMICS please give some news on IF they have read those many threads about this limitation and IF you are aware and planning to fix this in the near future? Question 2: The other massive problem is DECK SLIDING, where when the carriers turn, even at 2kts or even 25kts the planes start sliding and we crash into each other, slide off the deck or have issues arming and fueling, or have issue with INS alignment due to movement. Are you guys working on a fix for this? Question 3: STATICS issue on Carriers; when you have spent hours setting up a life like looking carrier deck with static planes and personnel, setting up the correct position and unit orientation and you then add a CLIENT plane on the carrier, suddenly all STATIC units get centered on the carrier and all your hard work is gone and you got to start all over with adding the correct positions. Some static units even go off of the carrier completely and end up on a nearby land based airport. Are you guys aware of this and working on a fix? There are also some threads about this, but again no response from any ED representative. I am not asking to have this fixed today, but just want to know if ED is aware of those many struggling DCS communities who are trying so hard to simulate NAVAL OPS on a very high and realistic level? Obviously a fix for these issue would be welcomed if it would be done soon. Thanks so much for a response from ED! I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond to it. Kind regards, Dutch Baron TAWDCS.org - CVW-88
  11. Hello everyone, We are looking for serious pilots and RIO's to join our Batallion. We have at least 2 RIO spots open, but we are also looking for F-14B, F/A-18C and A/V-8B, Chopper pilots. The CVW-88 Battalion is aiming for the most realistic and immersive virtual experience in TAW DCS. We follow real life procedures as closely as possible, use strict and perfect radio communications and train HARD to get to this high level of virtual flying! This type of flight simming is not for everyone, because it requires a certain type of mindset, dedication and motivation to do it right. If you are looking for relatively short, action packed missions which can be played without much in-depth planning and preparation, then the CVW-88 is NOT the right place for you. If you are looking for very realistic, in-depth planned events, where flying to the ‘AO’ means you may have to rely on Air to Air refuel to be able to make it there and back home, following the correct waypoints/altitudes/speeds to be ‘on station’ at the predetermined time (ToT), where the other Squadrons are a key part of the success of the mission at hand, then the CVW-88 is THE PLACE TO BE!!! We create MDC’s (Mission Data Cards) where all important information is stated, then we import this into DCS so every pilot has the info in his Knee Board Map while performing the missions. We use the PERSIAN GULF as our default MAP, our main but not exclusive focus is NAVAL OPERATIONS, we only use full fidelity modules which are currently the F-14B, F/A-18C, A/V-8B and all Helicopters. Any upcoming Naval Operations capable full fidelity modules will be incorporated as well. We fly mostly PvE Campaign missions, but occasionally also do PvP. Our missions are hand made every time, where we start a campaign from scratch, have objectives, depending on the outcome the next sortie is a continuation of the previous sortie. This is done until the complete campaign is finished, after that we start a new campaign from scratch. Sometimes we also fly campaigns in the Caucasus or any upcoming maps, but the default map is the Persian Gulf. We are all very happy and willing to help you get the best and most out of your module of choice, but you are required to train on certain topics where you lack some experience by yourself, without us having to try and motivate you to do just that. This is the type of pilot we are looking for, a motivated and dedicated person who WANTS to be great in all things needed to perform realistic combat sorties, as perfectly as possible in a well oiled teamplay war machine. This requires you to go out and look for ways to improve yourself, so when we actually fly missions together, we will all be at our BEST and only have to focus on the mission and not on other things that may distract us from that!!! The CVW-88 hold its weekly Mandatory Event on SUNDAY’s @ 1945 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1745Z, Winter Time 1845Z). The CVW-88 hold its weekly Training Sessions on THURSDAY’s @ 2030 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1830Z, Winter Time 1930Z). The minimum requirements for joining the CVW-88 are quite high and are as follows: – Being PRO-ACTIVE, willing to read and learn documents and perfect your skills in your own time, outside of regular training events – Able to fly formation perfectly and able to do Air to Air Refuel (AAR) in fair weather – Basic experience using Navigation, Combat Systems and Weapons – Experience with using SRS (Simple Radio) and Basic knowledge of ATC Communication – Able to do a CASE 1 recovery on a CARRIER – Able to speak and understand proficient ENGLISH – Using TrackIR or a similar system (also VR) – Owning one of the following FULL FIDELITY MODULES: F-14B, F/A-18C , A/V-8B, Helicopters – Owning the PERSIAN GULF MAP For more info see this link: https://tawdcs.org/battalions/hardcore/ If you fit the minimum requirements and wish to join us, follow this link: https://taw.net/themes/taw/user/application.aspx
  12. Yes please fix this ED. There have been so many groups starting Naval OPS now and for us in the CVW-88 we need 6 carriers to spawn 24 clients. Would be so nice if ED would acknowledge the issue at let us know they are working on a solution.
  13. A fix for this would be great, hope ED has seen and heard about this!
  14. Hi, I eventually got it fixed after an update and deleting the config file. I do not use modifiers so that was not the issue on my end. Thanks for replying HB.
  15. Hi all, I have seen it myself and heard from others, that when in the RIO seat in MP, after a successful carrier landing the RIO keeps seeing the arresting cable attached to the F-14B. Even after taking off again, the cable stays attached no matter how far away you fly. I hope this is something you guys at HB can fix, so we actually see it fixed soon ;) You guys are doing a great job responding on this forum to pretty much any possible bug report. I am amazed to see such dedication and customer service and I'm super happy with HeatBlur. Keep it up!
  16. Same issue here and after having spent hours and hours on making a nice alive looking carrier, all that work is gone. Then adding the new F14B in numerous older missions means an insane amount of time while tediously placing them back. In PG like half of the objects of 1 carrier actually got placed on an nearby coalition airport. A fix would be nice :)
  17. I am experiencing some issues with SRS as well in the F14B. Escpecially with my RIO, but it seems to depend on who it is. With one RIO I hear him, as a pilot, all the time through the ICS. But he hears me only the first second or 2 and then I break up. With 2 other RIO's I had no issue at all for 2 hours of flying with them. Also, it seems on a few occasions yesterday, that when I heard 2 people speak at the same time, the audio got some serious bit loss and started to play in slow motion. It seem to have cleared later on, but came back occasionally. We reinstalled SRS on both my PC, and the RIO I'm having issue with, but to no avail. Restarting SRS did not do the trick for me. This started with the introduction of SRS 1.5.9.0 and we did not have this issue with the previous build. Will keep on testing and possibly revert back to 1.5.8.0 to see if the issue clears for sure and report back once I have news. Thanks!
  18. Hello great people at HeatBlur!!! First of all: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW what an amazing great module you guys have created! Keep up your great work and dedication. So far I have one issue that's making flying a little bit harder. I can not bind my MFG Crosswind rudder pedals because the whole binding of 'RUDDER' column is RED. It worked fine the first moment I flew, was nicely bound but suddenly it stopped working and showed RED in the control options. None of my other DCS modules have the issues and my rudder pedals work everywhere. There's a thread with numerous people experiencing similar issues. The fixes they have proposed do not work for me. Do you have a solution for me, and possibly some others as well? Thanks for any response.
  19. When I re-bind my MFG Crosswind by manually pushing it registers it nicely, but gets RED after clicking apply. When re-binding by choosing the RZ from the drop down menu it again gets RED after clicking apply. Some response from ED or HB would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
  20. For me it did not help to use the drop down menu to choose the binding..... unfortunately.
  21. Hi, Thanks so much HB and ED for this AWESOME module, she flies great and looks amazing!! I am experiencing the same issue here with the RUDDERS, it was bound initially and worked for a while. Then it became RED in the bindings menu and tried re-binding, restart DCS, nothing helps and can't use my fancy rudder pedals in the Tomcat now. It still works fine in other modules. Anyone from ED or HB can give us some pointers to fix this? Or confirm it's something the clients can't fix and you guys are working on a solution?
  22. I have been experiencing this same issue for as long as 2.5 is here. Servers that are basically around the corner show ranges from 300-600ms, while after joining I am at 25ms or lower. Refreshing the MP list drastically changes all those numbers in the lobby, but again after joining I always have a stable low ping. I don't know if ED wants to see track files or logs of this as well to look into it? Any tips from ED to try and pinpoint the issue are welcome.
  23. Thanks Grimes, happy to see help coming from you on this topic. Now I hope ED will put it back in the actual DCS bug section and get this sorted.
  24. Hi ED, Since the latest OB update, we have a complete DCS crash when an AI plane lands and then taxi to parking and shuts its engine down. Tried on both servers and client PC's, same on different systems. Isolated it to the MOOSE function: InitRepeatOnEngineShutDown. When using InitRepeatOnLanding DCS does not crash. I know MOOSE it not from ED, but still VERY widely used and it would be nice if you guys can have a look at it anyway. This did/does not happen on the previous OB build. Attached you will find the test mission/logs/DCS crash report files. Track file is NOT generated due to crash. Hope to hear a response as this function is used a lot. MOOSE_Crash.rar
  25. Thanks Alpenwolf, happy to see you still active as well with the very cool Cold War Server, keep it up!
