  2. Without labels active, I can see how cooperation saves the day.
  3. Is this a known issue? Sometimes when I hop into a vehicle I can't accelerate. (Yes I shift the gear). The "W" input does almost nothing. Maybe a conflict with my aircraft bindings? "W" is brake, usually and I often hop into vehicles after being shot down.
  4. I'm not really an expert, since I never use the option. I do however play around quite a bit with mission editor. Maybe this option has to be enabled in the "mission options" to work properly?
  5. As of today I can somewhat reliably drop GBUs on unsuspecting targets and sometimes even lock on with Mavs. I fired 3 on different targets scoring each a kill last week end. (In one run!) It was a pain in the ass because the stations didn't launch alternating from port and starboard. Did I take different Mav versions? While doing so I created about two dozen waypoints, because I was curious what the TAD button would do. The toughest thing of it all is finding targets and doing all the right stuff in time. But mostly finding targets without flying into SAM fire while busy examining grey pixels.
  6. What do you mean: "in the missions"? You have to check that in the game options. Unlimited Ammo in the scenario editor is just for warehouse supply, not for the aircraft.
  7. My aunt lives near Bitburg. Her next door neighbours used to be officers stationed at one of the bases. Guess what I got to see sitting on a swing when I was a tiny toddler. I could see the pilots in the canopy when they screamed over the hill!
  8. Ever since I play games I wanted to play with other people sharing operation of some kind of ship / spaceship. Some people would man controls, some weapon systems - others would tend to damage control and sensors etc. Now, how about flying an aircraft as a duo team? One pilot - one weapon officer. Would that be possible? What's the most difficult part about it and why isn't it already made true?
  9. New maps confirmed? I like that! A lot. Also interested what's coming to CA. I like designing missions and watch the battles unfold before I assume direct control.
  10. Yes, open canopy and shout: "Where's my bombz?! There's communists about!!!". You'll be rearmed in no time.
  11. I think that's the reason, probably. I was going the distance. I will include "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL" now in my startup as standard.

  13. Hey folks, sometimes my Vikhr on auto setting (weapon console) won't fire when I move the pipper over the target marker. Normally it would display "C" and I can press the button to fire a missile, but it never appears. I have to switch off the auto mode (on the weapon console) and set it to manual. The "C" shows constantly then and the Vikhr hit when fired if pipper and marker match (usually). This happened sometimes when I started out, but it seems my startup sequence now prevents it? It happened yesterday again when I was lazy and did an auto startup. Weather was clear and fine and it was a Russian heli - no export version. What's the cause for that and is there a quick fix for it? Or do I need to add a joystick keybind for that switch to toggle?
  14. I swear, I got shot down by a Hind's Shturm rocket in my A10C. Maybe the Vikhr isn't so bad against air? It's just the targetting is crap without TrackIR and the little time in between throwing up my hands in despair when I try to aim at airborne targets.

For RP and immersion (doing scripted event missions as prelude to larger missions, creating huge battles with special effects) For training uncle Teamus, Deamus and Seamus use in my A-10C For viewing all the things in action (during sunrise) For being disappointed that cannon muzzle flashes are not very spectacular in the dark. For trying to figure out how reloading ammo works.
  16. It handles fairly well, but make sure the aim point is really on point on the target or your bomb just goes splish 1 m off starboard. Running the length of the ship is probably best.
  17. It eludes me why someone would want to remove the rudder from the trimmer. You guys are using pedals I assume?

  19. I was wishing for that just yesterday, right before I teamussed a target and tried to china hat my sensors to it and then ragequit because my painfully designated target vanished with the cams and sensors slewing to idontknowwhat.
  20. Yea, that's the difficult part. Making Mavericks work is a PITA.
  21. The cigar-like engines, the canopy and the tail section design does it for me.
  22. BtW, why is it called "Warthog"? It's a pretty plane in my eyes.

  24. Hey! How else you gonna do it? Fly upside down and do a half-loop over target? Gives good view of the target, but I don't know if jets do this. Or do you mean take thrust away? That's pushing down the nose, too.
  25. Made a fictitious custom mission with UKR forces coming in force towards Krymsk. I had 2 A10C on each side, 4 Hind for UKR and 2 Ka 50 for RUS. The UKR A 10s blew me out of the sky in my Ka-50, I hopped into the other, missiled away until I had Vikhr 4 left and the Hinds and BMPs were overrunning the forward strongpoint. Retreated and got shot by a Hind. Meanwhile, the Russian A 10s had scrambled, I hopped into one and was shot 3 times by Hinds (I think it was missiles) - two engines offline, but still flying. I managed to ditch the plane in a field, breaking just one landing gear. Hopped into the second A 10 that had expended it's ammo, landed, reloaded different ammo, scrambled, went for enemy airfield, realized I hadn't configured my new loadout, lol - no clue how to drop all those bombs!!! Strafed the airfield with the 4 Hinds lined up neatly with 30mm fury. 10/10 would fly again.
