Although I am fully depended on this guides to get airborne in any aircraft, I honestly think, you should take a vacation break or slow down a bit. Seriously, the amount of content updates on old guides since the Apache guide release is overwhelming. I am worried you might get burned out at some point and l can't have that happen, since I am totally depended on you work as I mentioned. Be assured as one of your patreons, I haven't stopped support during the months of making the Apache guide and won't in the future.

Hardware: Hat es eigentlich irgendwelche Nachteile, die Peripherie (Stick, Throttle, Pedals) über ein kleines USB-Hub zusammen an einem PC-USBport anzuschließen?

Nur eine These aus eigener Erfahrung: Manchmal funktionieren Tastatureingaben nicht mehr, weil ein Joystickbuttonmakro sie blockiert. Ich hatte teilweise "schlechte" Makros erstellt, die nicht nach einmaliger Betätigung endeten, sondern in Endlosschleife den verknüpften Tastaturbefehl wiederholten. Wenn dadurch zum Beispiel ständig die Shift-Taste aktiviert ist, erkennt DCS dann die Betätigung der #-Taste als Shift + #. Kann man überprüfen, indem man bei auftretenden Problem das Multiplayer-Chatfenster aufruft oder auf dem Desktop eine Textdatei mit dem Editor öffnet. Wenn dort ständig automatisch Zeichen eingegeben werden, liegt es m.M.n. an einem Makro. Ich nutze Voiceattack und es klappt meist problemlos. Ab und zu scheint es die Audiobefehle nach einer Weile nicht mehr eindeutig zu erkennen, dann hilft es mir, das Programm kurz stoppen und wieder zu starten.

I was recently wondering about the very same issue. Although people assured me, that it ist correct, that aircraft can't display a correct speed below a certain threshold, 30 kts seemed a bit too much for an aircraft that is able to hover in my laymens opinion. So I looked for HUD-videos of Harriers taking off or landing and found this one: Claiming to be a landing aboard HMS Invincible, I guess this is a GR.7 or 9. The HUD Display certainly looks very familiar. And for most of the time it looks indeed like the speed never shows less than 30 kts, but in some frames it drops below 30 to 29/28 kts. Which should be Impossible to be displayed, if it is Limited to 30 kts, again in my laymens opinion. So I wonder/hope If that threshold for the AV-8B might be lower than the current 30 kts. I don't habe a Warthog, but an WinWing Orion. I switched the threeway switches in the upper or lower position, before I tried to map the button. Then I Flip the switch down or up. When that does not gets the button recognized, I fondle a bit with the switch in the middle position, just enough before it flips to the upper or lower position, that also often triggers a button press.

Die Stelle ich mir auch sofort in den Hangar. Was ich nicht durchschaue ist die Vergabe der Projekte an Drittentwickler. Schließen die nicht mit ED Verträge über die Entwicklung ab, damit sie nicht wie Modder an etwas arbeiten und es dann einstampfen müssen, weil ein Drittentwickler plötzlich das selbe Flugzeug als ein vollständiges Modul entwickelt? Im Januar 2022 hatte Magnitude 3 noch einen Neujahrgruß gepostet auf dem Leute mit mehr Ahnung die Silhouette einer Su-22 erkannt haben. Daher ging ich bis gerade davon aus, dass M3 die Su-17/22 entwickelen würde, aber ich bin auch ein Stück weit froh, dass sie es nicht tun, da sie ja noch die Corsair und die F-8 Crusader veröffentlichen wollen.

The MiG-21 was the first module that I bought in 2014(!) and is still my favourite next to the AV-8B. I bought it at a discount for far less than I spent on newer modules which I haven't clocked even close as many hours into at all. And although I still consider the MiG not finalized (Will I ever be able to map KPP controls to my throttle?) I'd preorder every new MiG-21 variant anyway, as well as any SU-17/22 (pretty, pretty please!) as soon as possible. Personally I am more interested in modernised versions, but I see why early versions also appeal to people.

Hallo zusammen, da ich die Absicht mir einen neuen PC anzuschaffen wegen der schlechten Verfügbarkeit neuer Grafikkarten erstmal auf nächstes Jahr verschoben habe, mein jetziger Monitor aber erste Ermüdungserscheinungen zeigt, wollte ich mich mal Rat einholen ob ein Monitor Neukauf jetzt schon Sinn macht. Zur Zeit habe ich einen älteren 60Hz FHD Monitor mit einer 16:10 Auflösung sprich 1920:1200 was man heute wohl als 1080p bezeichnet, wäre das Ding ein 16:9 Monitor. Da ich für DCS langfristig die Anschaffung einer VR Brille plane bin ich jetzt nicht darauf aus, mir einen 4k Monitor anzuschaffen sondern liebäugle mit einem WQHD Monitor. Ich dachte da an 34" oder mehr und curved sowie einem Hz-Takt von mindestens 100. Meine Fragen dazu sind: Schafft eine 1070Ti DCS mit mittleren Einstellungen auf so einem Display flüssig darzustellen? Und reichen Monitore mit einer Refreshzeit von 4 oder 5 Ms für DCS oder müssen es 1 Ms Gamingmonitore sein um irgendwelche unschönen Artefakte (Tearing, Ghosting usw.) zu vermeiden? Ich spiele neben Flugsimulatoren keine Rennsimulatoren oder besonders schnellen Egoshooter.

That I can answer, since I tested it with a buddy flying an F-5E after I read in this forum, that the real SPS-141 should jam in a frontal arc only. His radar got jammed both in a head to head and a pursuit. For ECM effectiveness against SAMs i recommend watching this video: PS: The result of the MiG-21 vs. the HAWK disappointed me the most. :(

I was driving along th A40 Autobahn passing through Bochum while heading to Duisburg, when my eyes caught sight of the typical upswept tailplane of a Sabre in a rather unsusal camouflage. I couldn't just drive passed it without taking a closer look, so I took the next exit ramp and drove back. The plane is placed in front of the D&W The Motion Corporation GmbH & Co. KG company building. A company distributing car parts for tuning enthusiasts. The weather was bad on this day, sorry for the dull looking colours, certainly not a beauty, but if someone feels challenged to do this paintjob, I promise, I will fly it. Otherwise just have a laugh, like I did. Ist das eigentlich ein relative neue Politik? Ich frage weil, es mich wundert, wie wir dann den klickbaren Ka-50 bekommen konnten. Der wäre doch eigentlich auch zu modern, oder? BTW: Willkommen Lars. Ich bin selbst früher jahrelang Propellerflieger mit dem Joysticktwist geflogen. Es geht manchmal vielleicht sogar einen Tick besser als mit Pedalen, abhängig davon wie geübt deine Hand Augen Fußkoordination funktioniert oder wie präzise deine Pedale sind. Ich gehe trotzdem nicht mehr zurück zum Twist. ;)

Willkommen, da beide Balken ausschlagen, wenn du die linke Bremse trittst, vermute ich, dass die linke Bremse falsch belegt ist. Entwder unter Steuerung-> Achse mal nachsehen, ob das linke Pedal dort unter Radbremsen statt Radbremse links belegt ist (Ich habe einen anderen Hotas, aber bei mir wäre das eine X-Achse). Solltest du die Pedale über Programmiersoftware als Tastendruck ansteuern, muss für das linke Pedal nicht W, sondern Links Shift + W ausgewählt sein. Hast du schonmal im Steuerungsmenü auf das Pedal gedrückt? Da kann man immer gut sehen, was durch einen Tastedruck oder Achsenausschlag gerade angesteuert wird.
