  1. Any chance for a re-worked exterior model? Perhaps use the wing from the new A-8 model? The one on the D-9 model is too thick(very noticable at the wing root) and has too low dihedral. Also, I would love a flat canopy for the D-9 as well! :D

  3. Unfortunatelly I can't run with deferred shading on as my rig can't perform good enough frame rates(I use an Oculus rift). Is there a way to fix this? :(
  4. Awesome! Thanks Cobra!
  5. I lifted this earlier in another thread a while back. As it is now, the flaps retract much faster than the landing gear. When the landing gear doors have closed shut the flaps should still take another 7-8 seconds before they are fully up. Fixing this would give a much smoother take off as it will allow for a lower AoA during climb out. I was wondering if it is on the "to do list"? These videos shows how long it takes for the flaps to retract.
  6. My t-shirt arrived a couple of days ago. :)
  7. Just a small appreciation post. :) I have almost all the modules released for DCS, and I enjoy all of them. But, the L-39 has a unique quality that makes it stand out in comparison to all the others. IMO, the joy of flight is somehow more present in this module. I don't know what it is, but I love cruising around in the L-39. It's not very fast, which allow you to enjoy the scenery. The visibility from the cockpit, especially the unobstructed forward view is so nice. :) That's all wanted to say I guess! Time to fly! :D
  8. Viggen over Las Vegas. :)
  9. Also, the wingmounted RWR's protrude further on the JA. :)
  10. You are very much correct! My bad! :)
  11. AFAIK only JA 37 used dayglow numbers on fin and main wing. Some AJS 37's had large white numbers on the main wing though. :)
  12. Wanted to make a video with music. Here's my first ever attempt! :)
  13. Due to over-G? Viggens structural design limit was 12 G. With such a large wing area a huge amount of lift is available. Pulling too much G in the machine is easily achievable. Real AJS-pilots were not allowed to exceed 6 G's. 7 G for the JA 37 as it had strengthened wing/fuselage. :)
  14. Love dayglow!
  15. Thanks guys! Glad you like them! :) @renhanxue I don't know when they locked the airbrakes on the JA 37. The aircraft in the photo doesn't have dayglow, so I'm guessing this photo is taken in the mid 80's? :)
  16. Hi everyone! :) For several years now I've been doing line drawings of SAAB's jet creations. Many of them are still a WIP, but the Viggen is pretty much finished. Thought I'd share my drawings of the various Viggen variants. I've included pointers that mark the less obvious external differences. Hopefully you guys will find them useful. :)
  17. I haven't found anyone bringing this up, so here goes! :) From what I've gathered on the RM8A, it being an airliner engine, spool-up time was rather slow. The afterburner stages took about a second each to light up. In-game I can go from idle to full burner in two seconds. Crazy fast, it would even put an F404 to shame! :D One of Viggens magical qualities comes from the canard which at higher AoA produced very powerful vortices. Talking to pilots who flew the Viggen, these vortices clearly made their presence felt when turning hard. It was quite a physical experience. The vortices "drumming" hard on the main wing. It would be great to have this modelled. More vibrations, and more sound to let us know the canards are doing what they were meant to do! :)
  18. Happens to me as well. I've recorded several tracks, and when I replay them the plane always crashes halfway through. :(
