  1. Think he meant the F-16N aggressors specifically.
  2. CF-15s could become a reality... Hehehehehehehe.
  3. Sorry for the OT here...Are the HPRF/MPRF ranges of the 120 simulated?
  4. I had never heard of X-31's dogfighting anything, that is an EXCELLENT read...and I'm not even halfway through it!

    ARMAT?

While we're at it, why not add R-27ERs, there's no proof it's ever fired one nor is there documentation on the employment of it...but hey, its a fighter, it should have AA-10Cs. They might better represent an S530D's flight performance, too! :megalol: I'm kidding of course, but the point stands...the ARMAT is something for a different aircraft. Honestly, there are other ARMs and ARM platforms (I think) most of us would rather see before that...but thankfully, those are being done. So...DCS: M2000D? :P :joystick:
  6. The F-15 doesn't quite have auto-trim... Every time I fire a few slammers this is apparent to me.
  7. The F-16's snap mode requires you to be in plane too...doesn't it? But anyway, the Mirage didn't quite live up to the hype in air to air for me...so back to spamming Mk-20s at things... :D Edit: As for the above...the Flanker can't point its nose precisely...the pitch rate doesn't always drop down when you come off the stick (due to the FCS design). Edit two: and there's some other things with that too, like large control inputs being required at certain points, lots of trimming...the Flanker is very man-intensive when it shouldn't be.
  8. Why not do that with stealthy unicorns instead?
  9. It's probably because they train against Raptors a lot more than with Eagles or anything else... Or IDK, maybe the -22 really is a Craptor. :megalol:
  10. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Excellent work.
  11. I know you're being funny...but really, can we just get a 90s radar, and 90s missiles (120A, B, C3/4)? This LPI datalink thing would be useless in the sim, and the IRST would be as useless in-game as it is IRL. I don't need a drag index of 25 just looking at pylons, bags, and pods...:D
  12. You sure that wasn't an East vs West mission?
  13. Try right shift L to turn on your electronics.
  14. I thought this was a semi-active thread? :megalol: Alright alright I'll stop now. :P
  15. Your 30mm does nothing to a Mirage! :megalol: :megalol: Edit: Maverick, you could always try this...https://youtu.be/e686mVWXhY0?t=92 Just be sure to try it over 9000ft slant range from any MiG-28s (or F-15s) and above 3.0 on the gas gauge. :P
  16. Hmm...I'll have to look into it more I guess. Thanks for correcting that. :)
  17. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Fox 1 on Maverick. :D
  18. ^Good luck with the Flanker...it might not be too fast at going fast, it loves inverted deep stalling everywhere, and sometimes it will pop your brains out all over the 'pit...but that thing can TURN! I don't fly it much for BVR combat because of the avionics, but its a very fun aircraft to fly in dogfighting...
  19. ^We could limit F-15s to 120Bs... Those like CMs, if I'm remembering right. Need more -7 vs -27R, so we can all get our inner chaff spammer on.
  20. Going off topic for a bit here, but I think HPRF and MPRF and all that would be quite important if the F-15 and Su-27 didn't have the same radar, TWS/NCTR aside. Back on track: What's this bit about CW illumination and crap, I thought that went out of style years ago? Like when R-27R's seeker was designed? Oh wait... Edit: GG says something real interesting here: Remember guys, its a civilian-level simulation...we don't have some super computer in the middle of the Western US with a crapload of storage and processing power. We have a bunch of nerds, some home computers, and a dev team that actually works on military level stuff...and gives us the leftovers (thats not an insult, btw...I'm very grateful for that ED's done with DCS), basically...
  21. (joking) This picture might be helpful in explaining how chaff works. Just move the radar more or less behind the missile somewhere.(/joking) Edit: And on a serious note, that's where a missile SHOULD miss...IMO.
  22. ^^^^ You and your corkscrewy-500kts-on-top-coming-back-down-with-trigger-held trickery. Protip: Don't BFM Stuge. Agreed, heaters are mean when you point your rear end towards them. Though they're equally as mean when you don't have the energy to defend them... Blow through a mach 1.5 and don't look back! :D
  23. IIRC, AIM-7M and R-27ER have the same CM resistance and whatnot.
  24. I think the seeker's gameplan after losing track is an issue here...I read a document a while back that mentioned the ability of certain (or perhaps most? wasn't specific at all :( ) IR missiles to continue their last maneuvering command after target track is lost...I wonder if the SARHs are doing something similar? Maybe THAT is what needs explaining or improvement? IDK, just throwing ideas at the drawing board...
