Have you been trying to adjust it in the actual mission with ESC menu? Try going to main menu and access controls from there. It worked for me.

Might be a silly question, but who can explain to me why the lantirn in the F14 is green and not black, as in the end of RedKites video? Is it right to assume that the inflight lantirn is green because thats the only colors the MFDs can display? Thanks and excuse my ignorance

1.5 with rift. Had to drop So+ down to 1.3 and even 1.0. Didn’t make a difference in stutters or ghosting tho.

I have an i7 7700K @4.20GHz Gefroce GTX 1080 16GB Ram I run smooth 45 fps with rift, shadows, civil traffic, all textures on high etc. The main reason I sent the SO+ back, was because I did not see enough of a visual improvement that would justifiy spending that much money. I messed around with steam motion reprojection etc. It gave me ghosting or stutters or whatever it is called. Basically, when i look to the side on the ground I would see the builing almost with double vision. Added to that are the stutters.

Sending my SO+ back today and going back to the rift. SO+ gave me stutters, shimmering, just overall much worse compared to rift. Performance was also much worse. Picture overall was not as much of an improvement, if any. Hoping the true next generation will show better results.

Did some more testing. Im actually not able to turn motion vector off it seems. I have very bad ghosting or double vision or whatbwe you wanna call it. It ran fine at 30 constant frames before I messed with the motion vector stuff. Now it’s worse and undoing everything I did doesn’t fix it either. Very weird.

As I said, these are just my initial thoughts. I can’t find anything about mwr motion vector that’s not tied to steamvr? Care to enlighten me?

Got my odyssey+ today and have to say that I am not that impressed. My initial thought is, thay the picture quality is not that much better compared to the rift. I can honestly hardly tell a difference. PThat being said though, I have yet to do a direct comparison. I will try my rift again and determine if the quality is worth buying the odyssey+ or not. Gauges and instruments are still quite unreadable. Biggest issue for me however is, that steamVRs ASW does not compare to the occulous one. I get constant 30 frames without it and things look ok. Turning it on however makes buildings look weird, when flying low to the ground and in fact doesn’t give me 45 FPS either. Maybe I am doing something wrong but after two days of testing, I cannot day many positive things. May want to wait and purchase the real next gen VR. I’ll look further ito it and will report back after some more test time

Looking great! Have you thought about pre-purchase or waitlists etc? I’m sure a bunch of us are willing to fund some money in advance etc.

as a general question, do you guys all have shadows off when using VR? That seems to be my main fps killer when on base and a lot of other planes are on screen..... Or do you deal with it and laeve shadows on? I love the cockpit shadow, but could deal with the outside shadows being gone.... is there a way to turn all shadows off, but leave cockpit shadows on?

Odyssey+ is available online at Samsung now. Placed my order today. They are backlogged until the week of November 4th. Thats at least what my confirmation email says. Will do a quick review once I get my hands on it. Running a rift right now.

Called Samsung today and they said that it should be available at Best Buy. Highly doubt it stays on the shelves long tho. Samsung motioned that it should be available for online sale in about 20 days. We shall see, I’m definitely interested

Hello all, I am trying to sell my Pro Flight Trainer Puma. I bought it about two years back, but only used it for a few month, as I focused more towards fixed wing aircraft and not helicopters. It served me well and was a lot of fun. Probably the best “affordable” cyclic and collective. At least when I bought it. Unfortunately one switch on the collective isn’t working anymore, but it didn’t bother me.
