  1. Questions are fine. That is why I watch this thread. Thats a hard question to answer. It is unknown if the new tools will be released. Having said that, it might just be a matter of change a few things in your original .max source files to get it to export properly with the new tools.

  7. I focus more on building and error checking so I don't really pay attention to clouds. But you are right, if/ when I do notice something, I am not able to do so because it is not public information

  9. Im a little confused. That is how it should look in max. It only puts the road over the spline in the game engine. when exporting, you are exporting the spline, not a road looking object. Almazi, correct me if im wrong though.

  11. Huge amount of work to create any kind of map. Data hunting is a super hard part. Not only do you need aircraft charts, you need elevation maps that are accurate and detailed, river data, lake data, road and rail data, forest areas, etc. The hardest to find is good satellite imagery for the textures. Sure your free Landsat 7 textures can look ok far out. But when your right over the ground, they can make your eyes vomit. Not to mention putting it all together... Much more efficient to just create some afghan village models and place them in the targeting range. That's what the airforce does for training

  16. Nate pretty summed up the Nevada terrains history in a nutshell. It is progressing nicely with the typical love/ hate relationship that occurs when developing anything. More so love in this case. Did that answer anything for you? :)

  19. Can anyone translate what they are saying in the russian parts of the forums? What I got from it was just something about 32bit version. Maybe it translated out of context but perhaps someone should try posting for there for help? For now, I suppose you can send me the models and I can export it.

  21. please test it. I could not get a good .edm from the public 2008 plugins. it showed up blank. The one attached in the attachment were made using my plugins and worked on my end

  24. did you select the correct variable in the edm plugin options screen? I will try to get a sample model. They have not released the modelviewer right?
