  1. I cant translate, but post questions here and I will try to asnwer
  2. Agreed :-)
  3. Im not sure if the tool to modify it works anymore. It did work for FC1...First I gotta see if I even have the original file
  4. Wow this was my early years...umm its possible. Id have to see if I still have the original files someplace
  5. one issue is that i think is that there is not way to make new units that shoot. There mightbe if you copy their entry with a new name, but you still have the problem that the location of the gun is always fixed. to my knowledge atleast. For instance, for a mech, there is no way to move the gun shooting animation/ muzzle flash to the arms. So it would appear that it would be firing from the stomach..
  6. what is -98m? Keep in mind that all the tutorials are not from eagle. They are from the person who created the first Nevada terrain that was released prematurely. Many of the tutorial have small holes or gaps, again not eagles fault
  7. I cant remember. it wasnt a priority at the time..if i can find some old builds ill test it
  8. :P I can't give away my contacts at Eagle. Probably I know the most out of everyone it seems. Or atleast of those who are public on the forums atleast. The format structure between FC1 and FC2 are almost identical. You just have to think about what the real differences are. For instance, FC2 has better textures and models. Since this is just mostly cosmetic, (new model files and just assigning better quality textures), I assume the underlying part is identical. Since the mission editor is completely new, I assumed that there is some core differences that should be looked at. It also helped to know that the mission editor was written from scratch and not reworked as well as some old forum posts taking about coordinate differences between the ME and ingame which led me to think they are somewhat independent and some on the fly conversions are taking place someplace.
  9. i would bet that it is because the ME is not directly linked to the ingame engine anymore like it was in FC1. There must be another file that must be modified to reflect changes in the mission editor. I only worked in FC1 before I moved to the new tools so this is uncharted territory for me too
  10. so just to understand better, when you place the aircraft to take off, it shows you are taking off where anapa truly is, but in game your actually spawn at your area in the crimea area?
  11. It is released on UK steam http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1243608&postcount=2
  12. If anyone gets that, let me know how it works
  13. for me, the worst as been a single vertex that just needs to be raised or lowered. sometimes a few joining verts. how many verts are affected?
  14. that happens when a pixel or a few pixels are the wrong color. since pixel color determines height, a bad color = anomaly
  15. I would just export it as whatever the default native resolution is, and do a batch resize in photo to get your desired size. That is what i did
  16. It should not matter. It is just easier to select all pieces and make the change at once. Noise shows through at a certain distance defined in a config file. So you are right, it should not be necessary. That entry in the video is outdated. It has no effect
  17. It is very hard to find high enough resolution imagery to be useful without any kind of noise layer. even 1meter resolution gets grainy up close
  18. The reason for is because since Max likes to crash when files are large, you can split the information between multiple files and then just inject it.
  19. Im not sure what you mean. There is no real such thing as overwriting it. Even though windows says it is overwriting it, you are injecting more data into it. Problems can occur when you try to inject pieces that already exist i suppose. But when exporting multiple files since they can become so big, you overwrite it and the tools inject more data.
  20. Did it ever work before applying the modifiers?
  21. Mine's in a datacenter on a fiber connection

    E3 Expo

Exhibitor registration closed a week or so ago I think, so I do not think they will be there. I am looking forward to battlefield 3, twisted metal, and the new nintendo console. Isn't the old Microsoft flight company working on something?
