I seem to get a stall/ complete engine shutdown every few times i start up in that mission. Yo-Yo, ill attach the mission. It always seemed to happen at Batumi when I taxied from the strip between the parking area and the runway. I have also had it happen as turning onto the runway from that little taxiway strip, taking off facing the ocean. Surf-N-Turf - COOP-10-v4.miz -
CMS button. Not sure what its called. Theres CMS Up, Down, Left, Right, and the fifth is what you want. But in the real hog you would push it down. Down as in down, not down as in aft. Some would call it in i suppose. Its the same motion for a thumbstick click for a console controller. wowie...sniped by not 1 person but two!

Going off that. Also don't forget to change the curve to linear. Otherwise it will start slightly slower and end slightly slower.

I believe he is saying that in a future patch, keeping the engines at max power will somehow damage or flame them out. So if you are in the habit of always flying with max power on....time to change that :)

My server cycles between 2 missions every 2 hours automatically and has 10 player slots, which are completely full at times. I have never witnessed any lagging. It will crash at around 23-30 hours of continual use/ mission rotating. I think the current crashing has to do with a mission because its always when it switches to that particular one.

If people only knew how long it takes to make a map... It is not like the Underpants Gnomes Theory nor is it as simple as building land and buildings. Elevation data is needed for the creation of the ground and satellite photographs are needed to create the textures. But not all textures from satellites look the same so you must blend/ equalize everything while keeping the colors true to reality. You must gather data for EACH type of characteristic and there is no magical place that has all of this. You must hunt around searching many different locations and sources for solid data of River locations, Road locations, Railway data, Power line locations, Forest locations. Once you gather this data, you must implement it WITHOUT it conflicting with the previous data. In order for the TAD to work, you need to gather charts. Since the TAD has a zoom, you need to have multiple types of charts. Then comes buildings. Create 100+ unique buildings, but wait, each building needs a LOD model. 2 LOD models per building gives us 300 unique models. But what about if it gets destroyed? 1 damage model per building brings us to 400 unique models that need to be created, at the minimum. Once the buildings are done you need to unwrap them, which is a lovely lovely job. Next you make them pretty with textures and insert them into the correct location. This is all in a nutshell as there is more but it is a general idea of how its not so simple to create new terrain. Especially one that is official and going into a commercial product. China Hat aft short = re-centers the maverick sight to the center China Hat forward long = slews it to the targeting pods POI Make sure you do TMS up long before china hat as this sets the mark as POI -

Until then, give me more rep :D or try these steps that I will try to remember from memory. Do everything normally. When all materials are assigned, press "M" to open up the materials. Then click on the material that you have assigned. One of the plugins on the right side, click the "Make Cool" button. A new set of properties should appear in the material menu now. Use the pulldown selection to select either "default" or "concrete". (I cant remember which one is there, I think it is default now". Under the Maps section, assign the values that you want. The useable options are "Specular Level", Diffuse Color, and Bump. Be sure to change every other value to 0. From there you should be able to export it by doing file -> export.

From what I know, .LOM can not be converted into .EDM. You must export it directly to .EDM from 3ds max

.EDM tools require Max 2008. Max8 is not supported

Which mission was it? Do I need to shorten the rotation time?

My guess would be that it needs abilities for exporting that previous version of 3dsmax are not capable of. Only a guess though. My guess would be for 2010 or 2011 plugin support at some point. Only a guess

Ya thats my server. I will keep an extra eye out. On a side note since you mentioned you liked that mission, I was thinking of swapping that mission out with another mission to keep things fresh. Should I keep it and add a third?
