  1. At this time there are no tools/ plugins for 3ds max 9. The difference between 2008 and 2009 are probably some new features although I cannot say for certain.
  2. The plugins and 3ds max 2008 are required for everything. However, to make make the terrain you will need another program to accurately import terrain into 3ds max. (although i suppose you can create your own fictional terrain). I believe we used global mapper when making the Nellis terrain
  3. yes, according to the readme in the plugins, they only work with 3ds max 2008
  4. If people have questions about these tools, please post your questions here and I will try to answer them
  5. Is there any chance that you installed the 1.02 patch instead of the 1.12 patch over the Flaming Cliffs 1.1 install? In theory, this could very well explain the results that you have
  6. start -> control panel -> user accounts (or something similar), and it should be in there as a checkbox
  7. I only have a few mins here so ill be brief. 1) full startup procedure takes about 2-3 minutes at its fastest. To memorize the startup sequence I would recommend either watching the producer notes or the tutorial. What was helpful for me was to watch the producer note on my laptop as i was doing the startup on my desktop. 2) probably 25-35 on average 3) yes! get it now. you will not be dissapointed
  8. Guys, dont forget that it probably took a long time and a lot of money to create the initial plugins for max. Reworking them somewhat so they work with a newer version of max is far easier that creating an entire new set of plugins from scratch.
  9. To make life easier, I just made a new folder on my desktop and just put the two files in there. Then a simple launch of the setup file and your good to go!
  10. np bud. hope to see you in the skies
  11. make sure the two files are in the same folder when you install. when i did it i just make a new folder on my desktop and put the two files in there
  12. try this. Turn off the UAC and try to install it. Alternatively, right click on the setup.exe and run it as an administrator. Also, verify the MD5 checksum thingy. oh, and make sure the two files are in the same folder when you install
  13. Heres my specs: Pentium 4 HT 3.0ghz 2 gig ram ATI Radeon 9800 pro 256mb agp 8x In FC I can max almost everything out. In BS, I put everything on low. I get between 15-25 frames. The game looks beautiful on low so its not a drawback for me. I do now know how the campaigns will behave though. I mostly play online.
  14. turn the settings to low and it should be playable. You might have some low frames at some point though
  15. Assuming im remembering right, error 2 means a corrupt file. Try redownloading them from another mirror or verifying the MD5 checksum thingy.
  16. Too much Viagra I think
  17. Yes, I learned almost everything from the producers notes. It helps A LOT if your a visual learner.
  18. I have already created a program that does just this. You specify which mission you want the server to run, and the time length. Hop onto the ka50.com dedicated server to see it in action.
  19. ZOMG the possibilities!!! I cant wait for this
  20. ooooooooo. so each time you reconnect/ disconnect it, starforce sees it as adding a new piece of hardware. even though its the same hardware, starforce i guess doesnt check to see if its the same. Thats actually fairly interesting. My recommendation would be to email starforce and tell them the problem. Although I dont know how much of a helpful responce you will get :\
  21. Interesting. It forces you reactivate? I have a windows mobile phone also. (windows mobile 6.0). I occasionally use it as a modem because here at university, they block some traffic, so i use my phone to go around it. However I have never had my phone plugged in while trying to launch blackshark... not sure if that helps :\
  22. Do you happen to have an instant messenger that i could contact you through? Its a very basic program and i need some information from you before it will work correctly..
  23. I do! But im not done testing it. I dont want to give out the program until im sure its bug free
  24. The Y Saturation represents how sensitive the controls will be. 60 was just a guess with my testing. If the response feels a little sluggish, try setting it to 70 and then try again. You will probably have to change the setting several times until you find the correct number that you want.
