ahhh it was a early gift to people who read that thread. I was going to post it here on Monday :D Anyways, for those of you who downloaded it within the first 16 hours of my post, there was a mistake that I made when rushing it together which caused the skin not to show up. But all has been fixed now. Some features I would like to point out are headlights that light up, brakelights that actually light up when the btr goes into a turn (always brake into your turns i was told), and, on a dark night, you can actually see the beam of light from the headlights

Ok, I normally dont ever respond to these things, but i should since i started this thread. Heres what I personally feel happened. First thing that happened was that Coyote spoke in Russian. This made us English speakers have to use an online translator which is bound to get the context messed up. I dont think Coyote meant to come off as harsh as it may have seemed. On page 2, i made a post with this quote "Not a clue on that. Maybe they will want to use mine". Thats probably where he got the idea of me putting it into DCS. I recently started 3d modeling with little free time I have and this was my project, so I dont expect it to be great. I do however appreciate the criticism. After all, if nobody criticizes, how will I know how to improve?

Im pretty sure you make them inside the MEINIT file. Probably under the entry for the aircraft that you want to make carrier capable. -

First place the aircraft carrier, then place the carrier capable aircraft near the carrier. In the bottom right, change the selection from "turning point" to "TakeOff". The aircraft should now be over the carrier with the takeoff icon. to make it land, just make the last waypoint a "Land" waypoint near the carrier and it will snap to the carrier. -

Theres your problem. You used the web version patch on the CD version of the game. You need to use the patch that says it is for the CD version. You mentioned that the other versions didnt work. Did it give an error message? If so, what was it.

Padlock is a setting in game. When enabled, you press a button (cant remember the default one) and your view will snap to certain things. Ive never used it so im not sure exactly what it locks onto and what it doesnt. It probably will lock onto missiles, aircraft, ground units, etc. Most if not all online servers have that setting disabled though.

Yup thats right. If it is asking for your cd key, you can find it by going to the main lockon site (lockon.co.uk). log in there and then go to the download section. From there, your cd key should be listed below the Flaming Cliffs picture. -

Isnt this the problem when you apply the webdownload version patch a cd copy of the game? When patching to 1.12a/b, make sure you pick the cd version link and NOT the one for the download version -
In theory it should work perfectly because it runs window natively without the need for a virtual machine or emulation. Your only limitations will be the hardware. I have a mac in addition to my pc. If someone from ED would like me to test it I would be happy to. :)

Done: http://Http://www.ironangelslockonsquad.com/downloads/lightbeacon.rar Umm, the ME file in this package should be identical to the one installed by the CAW mod, except for the added values to make the beacon visible. So you would have to add the light beacon after you install the CAW mod. Does that help?

Thats something to do with the draw distance. It might be the ground precaching range. Theres a third party graphic editor that can be found here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=16466 It might help change the settings that lockon itself doesn't let you change

Precisely. Did you guys think that was what I was actually making my btr into?!? Noooooooo. Like OldCrow said, that was just a test to see what I am able to do with lighting. Using that test I'm now able to show you a working preview of the surprise. Headlights that actually light up, and brake lights that light up whenever the btr goes into a curve. Here are two new static objects for people. The first object is ALS lights for runways. This is a set of approach lights with a strobe light flashing down the center. Both objects are categorized as a Russian Building as a static object. The second object is a beacon light that spins. It can be used to be a beacon for an airfield or to designate a point as bullseye in a mission. Both can be scene here: All input and suggestions are helpful. If anyone has an idea for an object, let me know and I will see if I can do it. Error 3 means your installation file for Flaming Cliffs is corrupted. Several months ago the USA mirror had a corrupt download. I dont know if they fixed that or not. Try downloading it from the russian mirror

Well, I don't see how anyone would not like this extra thing, it will just take a little more time and I don't want to say what it is and spoil it. But if people want it now, I will give it out when its done and work on the extra part after no.....but Ill admit I did make a Party BTR tonight for fun.
