  1. I had two 980ti's and sold one because i was sick and tired of the compatibility issues regarding SLI. With DCS i never saw any performance increase with both GPU's in an SLI configuration.
  2. Do we have any news/confirmation that this "DLC" is a paid one or integrated in DCS?
  3. Haha it's alright, we know all of you have good intentions :)
  4. Reasons we are going for the hump variant is because of TWO main reasons: It had a more powerful engine, J52-P8A engine It has 5 pylons instead of three. Hope that clears it up for you guys.
  5. Sorry, we have no plans on having a hump-less A-4 variant. Thanks.
  6. Thanks Archer, all the positive feedback is welcoming to all members of our team!
  7. People are mentioning that some of the images are loading up, here's in the album: http://imgur.com/a/eVdnj
  8. HoggitDev March Update They'e been reports that some of the images haven't been loading them up, please try this link:http://imgur.com/a/eVdnj HoggitDev March Update: March has been a very eventful month for the team at HoggitDev. An incredible amount of work has been done this past month and we are very grateful that the community has put in so much effort to make the A-4E become a reality. As we get further along the development stage our aircraft is coming more and more to life. Here’s an image of the newly improved armament panel being used to fire a salvo of 3 rockets: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2D: Main Menu, Plusnine has been hard at work extensively upgrading our old UI, we’ve now got an amazing picture of the A-4. Cockpit Instruments: Emblems: Fuel Tanks: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3D: The Huffer (Ground Power) has also seen some revisions in terms of its positions and the tubes connected to it (An extension). We found out that when our aircraft was loaded with munitions the tube extends through the body of the stores.. An extension has been made which stops this from happening, shown here: LAU-1: Another small detail we have added to the A-4 is the bullet casing (20x110mm USN) for the Colt MK-12 done by /u/Farlander along with the help of Plusnine who worked on the textures for them. SUU-7/A: The SUU-7/A pod along with the corresponding cluster munitions BLU-3 & BLU-4 is being worked on by /u/Farlander. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Coding: /u/kryb (3D) and /u/gyrovague (coding) achieved the milestone of our first clickable cockpit items: the armaments control panel now has the ability to select individual weapon stations (corresponding to the 5 positions underneath the A-4E), toggle gun readiness, toggle master arm and rotate the function selector knob to choose between guns, rockets and bombs/missiles. It is thus now possible to deploy multiple weapons (of the same type) simultaneously, e.g. fire rockets from multiple pods or drop bombs from multiple pylons, as well as jettison rocket pods. The rockets can also be fired using the gun trigger (historically accurate for the A-4E), making it possible to fire guns and rockets simultaneously at a target. Another minor milestone was reached with our first in-cockpit sounds. The aircraft now plays a tone in the cockpit when it crosses below a threshold radar altitude, this is to simulate the Low Altitude Warning System (LAWS) system on the A-4E. The continuous bomb release tone is also played while the weapons release button is depressed in bombing mode (the correct tone pattern still needs to be identified by the research team however). Now that the ice has been broken on clickable cockpit and sounds, the rest will be somewhat easier. The ground start huffer is now displayed during cold start conditions. The speedbrakes are now also functional (display correctly on the external 3D model and also affect flight). The landing gear extend/retract was amended to have correct sequencing and timing. The Standard Flight Model (SFM) continues to be improved. Previously the fires on the aircraft were not positioned correctly, however the values have been tweaked to make it more realistic. Our focus for next month is to improve the damage model, Kryb has been working on improving the A-4 model (I.E. Wings destroyed if hit at). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HoggitDev Modtalk: Merker has a few words to say on his side-project: “For the past month I have been working on and off on building the famed USS Oriskany for DCS World. This is side project of mine in its very early stages of design. We hope that once the A-4 has been completed, we can consider adding this in to compliment it. For now, it is a just personal project of mine and my primary focus continues to be the cockpit." Please make sure that you are followed to Merker6 on Twitch, he usually does weekly livestreams on the modelling of the A-4E cockpit, it’s a great way to learn how modelling is done;
  9. Really looking forward to this aircraft, i sent you a PM.
  10. Thought I would leave this out here as we submitted it on Reddit:
  11. Haven't decided, we've been looking at the A-1, A-6 and various of other planes. Once the Skyhawk starts to take shape we'll start talking about what next plane we should develop.
  12. One of our members have already contacted a lawyer and we should be alright, not to mention we are not profiting from this mod. Please see Gos's response about licensing issues: There's no such thing as generic IP rights. At least in the US, intellectual property rights are covered by one of copyright, trademark, or patent. By definition, you cannot copyright the function of an object. The shape of an airplane is functional, even if minor, because I trust that the designers of most planes don't put completely non-functional elements into the design of the wings, fuselage, etc. However, all the systems programming/design/code/behaviors inside the real plane, along with the logos of the various corporations who contributed, are things that would still be protected by copyright and/or trademark. Things like liveries are designed and painted by employees of the US Government, and as such, their work is in the public domain. This includes photos taken by sailors/soldiers used to re-create liveries. Think of our effort as being done under artistic license. It will not be a perfect replica of an A-4E, but instead it will be our impression of a mid 1970s A-4E with the upgrades or modifications that we feel like putting on it. More than anything else, though, we just came together as a group who wanted to figure out how to build an airplane model in DCS.
  13. I think its clear to see that ED is moving away from FC3 style aircraft, we'll be hopefully expanding the A-4 to a full fledged clickable cockpit with an EFM.
  14. For Air To Air the Skyhawk will be equipped with the AIM-9B, this is not exactly the best missile however when used correctly it should get the job done :)
  15. This was a very nice read Maverick, one thing which i wonder about. Does warping also get affected due to other programs running in the background? So let's so a program was using 13% (TrackIR) would this cause warping? Because essentially the server would use 9% + trackir? I've never experienced such issues, unless it only occurs when players with bad ping join.
  16. Hey, i'm under the Sierra Hotel squadron, i've updated my name from Level to TAW_Level Could you please change it, also are statistics of players kept or something ;)? Edit: I realized that i'm currently blue side by accident, mind changing it for me?
  17. Level Lone wolf English F-15C/UK Available for both dates Read and agree to rules Looking forward to this event.
  18. Very naughty of 104th_Knight to do that. Also, is there any documentation i can look at in regards of what we have to do? I found it difficult to find opponents, wasn't sure what i had to do etc. I also want to help transport troops, but i dont know where etc.
  19. Looking forward to the progress, it looks like Cadarth may have found your answer.
  20. This look good, has lots of potential! Check PM when you can, i think we can come up with a good proposition ;) Edit: Do you have the ED SDK?
  21. Small little update: We are still working on the unwrapping for the A-4E, it's nearly done and so is the external 3D model. Some of the other modellers are working on the weapons, one of them being the B/MK-57. We've also had some help from other people who've translated all the Russian comments on the arguments for the missile data. We'll be posting monthly updates with screenshots and videos. Finally a website is being worked on, if you have knowledge with Wordpress/HTML/CSS we would greatly appreciate your help!
  22. I heard that you can decompile their lua however it gives you random variable names? Is anyone able to assist me?
  23. We will do a list of requested skins that people want, this is one of them!
