  1. Can it overheat if it's on for too long or is there no reason to not do the warm-up during startup?
  2. Would indeed be neat to see some bugfixes for the scripting API. Its been quite a while since these issues came up. :(
  3. Yeah none of the Mirage's lights act as a real light source, hence the broken landing/taxi light. I think this might get fixed with the next update.
  4. I could reproduce it with any mission I created with 1.5.3. Also reproducible on the Virtual Aerobatics MP server, didn't do Mirage AAR on any other server as of now.
  5. I was even able to reproduce the speeding up with the KC-135. *cough* (yes, it's possible to take fuel from a boom..) Ended up refueling at Mach .8 Nothing like this happened to me in other planes like the F-15C or A-10C
  6. This represents reality. The MiG-29 variants modeled in DCS have no MFD, only a HUD repeater. Radar/IRST has to be utilized using the HUD.

  7. The wing tanks are heavy.
  8. Guess you were talking about the FBW limiter rather than the gain switch. You wouldn't want latter to be turned on while heavily loaded. :) That switch is left to the gain switch.
  9. Left to the throttle, on the "wall" of your cockpit. It's a black switch that blends in nicely with the wall so it might be hard to spot.
  10. That's the pulse repetition frequency. Basically sets how often the radar checks your surroundings.
  11. You don't need the open beta. The 1.5.3 update has been released for stable today. You can, however, use the open beta with Steam. :)
  12. Here you can see the current DCS versions. The "stable" version is supposed to be a well-working (stable) version for the majority of DCS players. "openbeta"/"openalpha"-versions are meant for the people who want to be on the bleeding edge and search for bugs prior to moving the updates to the "stable" version. Look here for a list of all the DCS versions.
  13. Its not possible like this. You need to program your CMS to release one flare only, that'll result in the same behaviour as the F-15.
  14. As far as I know it's going to go into the stable branch today, so yeah.
  15. Rudder helps to roll when having such a "lock"
  16. Would be lovely but I'm pretty uncertain about it happening today.
  17. Would've hoped for a Mirage update though. :) Guess I was right with it being another month until 1.5 gets the second update.
  18. Seems like I've been mistaken. :) Some called it Nadja, some called it Natasha, never heard Rita tho. I take this information as being correct tho.
  19. These VFS errors appear for everyone, regardless of whether you got the Mirage or not. I always had them with DCS. Nothing to worry about. However, this caught my attention: 00010.997 INFO WorldPlugIns: No 'registryPath' for 'VEAO_HAWK' 00014.461 INFO WorldPlugIns: No 'registryPath' for 'RAZBAM_M-2000C' 00015.873 INFO WorldPlugIns: No 'registryPath' for 'MIG-21BIS'You might want to try uninstalling the Mirage and reinstalling it again using either the module manager or DCS updater.
  20. The US one is called "Betty" and the Soviet/Russian one is called "Natasha"
  21. It gets very much unmaneuverable when it gets too fast while in a steep turn. Most MiG pilots know to avoid this though.
  22. Are you sure you turned your laser on? It's the switch left to the TGP switch. I forgot it once and wondered why I miss all the time.
  23. Works on the F-15
  24. What helped me much with refueling the A-10C was looking up to the tanker as soon as it connected. Just keep both wingtips in your sight and follow them without moving around too much. TrackIR helps much. In my opinion refueling the F-15 is way easier since you don't have the boom infront of your face. I can refuel the F-15 while drinking coffee and eating my breakfast but I can't do so in the A-10, it's getting way better lately though.
