  1. I switched to Windows 10 at the end of july, how did Windows 10 handle USB bandwidth problems before that specific build?
  2. This utility is pretty handy: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_log_view.html if you suffer from the dis- and re-connects on Windows 10. In my case it's a 4 port USB hub, i only got a 7 port hub connected. At least it tells what the problem is.
  3. TeamSpeak? What's that.. we got SimpleRadio now :) Yeah once a player is connected he wouldn't need to see the server message anymore. I think with the focus you can reset a timer on either getting focus on the overlay or one of the controls on the overlay. Maybe also check if DCS is the 2nd in line in Z-order of windows when returning focus back to DCS in case someone was checking his email during flight or something.
  4. Ok, did another latency test locally (2 clients connected to the server) and it got a lot better. I think it was roughly a second in a previous release but now it's 0.3 - 0.4 seconds. That's probably close to or even better than TS :) Do you think you could ommit the chat message 'This server is running...'? I've been trying to keep the chat as clean as possible and this awesome radio project is already mentioned in the server description and in the briefing plus the autoConnect is enabled. Or maybe just keep it on the playerConnect event, already tried remarking 2 lines in the script on the server but then the autoConnect no longer worked. Thank you! E: Maybe make it report the version number on connect, so players know exactly which one to get/use. Another idea perhaps, i think Aries does the same but pretty aggressive, after clicking the radio overlay DCS no longer has focus resulting in 'WTF?!? My controls aren't responding!!!'. If you could set the focus back to DCS maybe after 2 or 3 seconds that might be cool.
  5. So i had the same disconnect and reconnect issue after switching to Windows 10. It wasn't happening a lot, roughly once a day and not just when playing DCS. I ran into this page http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/windows-10-usb-device-disconnects-and-reconnects/7b93eabd-0ea3-444e-8671-1f5dcf460fc0?auth=1 Seems this is more like a Windows 10 issue and not DCS. I checked for new drivers for Windows 10 for my motherboard and there was one for the USB 3.0 controllers. Did the upgrade, in a normal way, and the problem occurs less often. Maybe others with the same issue should try the same.
  6. Sounds pretty cool! :)
  7. Maybe you could append a bit of louder noise where the squelch would kick in. Or did you have plans for the squelch already? :)
  8. If it gets too complicated with the ASIO stuff perhaps you could/should focus more on the other stuff. Static/noise, roger beeps, JTAC etc.etc.
  9. If reducing the size can cause issues, make it some option? Having stutters? Use the large buffers option. Otherwise default small(er) ones. E: Maybe ASIO(4all) would be a good way to get the lowest latency.
  10. And another minor request, could you make the server remember it's window position? E: And maybe enforce the Radio Effects server side or make it client side (sending)? E2: Tested client/server locally, there's kinda sort of a little more than a little latency. Maybe it's possible to reduce buffer sizes?
  11. Nice nice nice, are these different versions client/server compatible? Like 1.1.5.0 and 1.1.7.0? I was able to connect with 1.1.6.0 to a 1.1.5.0 server for example.
  12. That's why i always reload the mission after testing it from the ME, indeed it's been a while since this started.
  13. Great project! I got a question, what does this 'Allow players export' exactly do? I haven't changed my advanced server settings for a while and when i enable that option the export.lua (on the server) no longer seems to function. It sends some UDP data locally, not using ports 5002 or 5010.
  14. This might be the problem (Windows 10), trying it disabled now:
  15. This just happened in another game, must be windows 10 in my case. Never happened on windows 7.
  16. Yeah that's pretty much what i do, good luck!
  17. Seen this with my X-55 stuff too but i recently switched to Windows 10 so i can't be sure (yet) if it's the OS or DCS.
  18. Just tried picking up a dynamicly spawned trooper, that caused the server to go in slow motion then everyone got disconnected. Kinda buggy.
  19. Those videos are indeed a good start if you want more displays etc. This is what i'm doing for the A-10 and it works fine: But how do i do this for other aircraft?
  20. Strange, that's where it crashed for me and others reported the same issue so i was looking for a workaround/solution and created one. Just sharing it, if you prefer OpenTrack or whatever piece of software stick to it.
  21. Ok thx i'll check it out.
  22. I have OpenTrack and used it, that's why i prefer FreeTrack.
  23. Like i wrote, i prefer FreeTrack. I may have missed some option or method but i couldn't get FreeTrack to work in DCS without extra stuff, how did you get it to work?
  24. The headtracker.dll is no longer usable, makes DCS crash and i used it for FreeTrack. With this setup you don't need the dll anymore.
  25. Can't zeem to get to your site, maybe too busy but i was wondering about real switches and buttons for planes other than the A-10C. I've seen the updated Export.lua scripts but how do i assign functions to buttons and switches like with the A-10C in the profile editor?
