To fix a problem you first have to run into or reproduce the issue. If the devs don't have anything to work with, a mission crashing for example, it's hard to locate the problems we see. We should be patient, i'm sure the devs are doing everything to get problems fixed for this amazing sim.

Hi Grimes, do you think you could add an option to block/kick players that use an empty playername? It's hard to address them and maybe they don't get TK-kicked (think i saw this happen once).

I have my suspicions about the weather (dll/functions) as well, i've seen errors which would indicate a problem with the weather/atmosphere 'Cloud could not be removed' e.g. E: Using dynamic weather btw, 6 cyclones.

Yeah that's exactly the problem, seems a little better again after the recent update but it's still there (Devs! ;) ).

Great! Maybe the devs can clear the temp dir when DCS fires up. I seem to suffer from some resource leaks which will crash the server in the end. Not sure if it's DCS or a script.

Thanks for checking. Simple solution would be if the embarked infantry would inherit the status of the pilot, pilot->dead, infantry->dead. Maybe i can force this somehow as a workaround.

Yet they crash and die...

When i pick up a couple of soldiers in a huey, then fly myself and passengers nicely into a building at topspeed and explode the passengers don't seem to fire the S_EVENT_DEAD or S_EVENT_CRASH event. When i kill them while they're still on the ground the event does fire. Am i doing something wrong here or is this a bug?

Running SlMod with the ping check also helps, worth a try..

Would be nice yes, the only reason i was running Servman on 1.2 was because it could check pings so you don't get these people: 'High ping? My ping is 2000 and the higher the better!' .. while lagging the server up for everyone else :|

It's been that way i described at least since v1.2 and from what i've read it's actually a bug that we see it locally at whichever port it is running. Who knows what the new network code will do.

I haven't had these crashes for a while now, i've created a batch file to delete most of the files in the DCS's temp dir. and that's being run before the server is started. In more detail: Create batch file in YourLogin\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS and name it whatever you want, CleanDir.bat for example Just add this 1 command: del *. and save it. Run the batch file before you start your server.

How fast is it flying pre/aft contacting?

A lot more server crashes too, they almost seem timed. Runs for 3 hours then it's 'ACCESS_VIOLATION ... '. Running a 24/7 mission and nothing is timed for 3 hours or anything close. Running the latest SLMod and apart from some SLMod (probably harmless) 'errors' there's just one error popping up that seems odd: 08567.238 ERROR Lua::Config: Call error world.onEvent:[string "-- world events hook..."]:453: Group doesn't exist stack traceback: [C]: ? [C]: in function 'getName' [string "-- world events hook..."]:453: in function <[string "-- world events hook..."]:313>. Got no script running calling getName on those lines.

If you look at the distances in these files right at the top, there's no difference in the 1.5.3 version but there is with the 1.5.2 versions. Guess it makes sense the fps was affected.

It's not just the fps, the whole performance and with that the stability seems lost. Server crashed 3 times already today in less than 5 hours uptime, crashes happened before but not this often. Ah well, maybe v2.0 is done on monday.. Caucasus included and amazing smoothness and stability :)

Yeah same setup, server(s) and game rig on same LAN. Server only has a login, no other licenses/modules installed.
