  1. Yes that was requested, auto connect makes it kinda unnecessary though. @Ciribob, i've seen the input or output device change a couple of times now since v1.2.8.x. So i fired SR up with my correct settings, connected and everything is fine. Disconnected, shut SR down then do stuff (not changing audio/hardware) and try SR again hours later then the input or output device sometimes changed to another in/output. Other settings are unaltered.
  2. It seems to store its data in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone You could remove the key but only if you know what you're doing!
  3. Probably a good idea, had like 13% mic boost and 160 speaker boost and even that was a little loud. New API -> New volume levels i guess.
  4. Was just curious if that might help with your sound problem.
  5. I think with the new API the sound is way more radio like, should be a little 'grainy' and noisy. @Mirmidon Do you have the Radio Rx/Tx effects enabled?
  6. And you're both on windows 7, did sound fine to me yesterday and not on windows 7.
  7. It does, thank you! :)
  8. So, i'm wondering if i'm not getting this right or if it's SR. 2 guard channels (where do i set these anyway?) and i'm pretty sure the 2nd radio could be set to VHF frequencies. Seems we no longer can (in the F-15 that is). This is v1.2.8.0 btw.
  9. Awesome, looks great! :)
  10. Hi CiriBob, i see this message pretty often. Probably when clients connect without SR running. Perhaps you can check for a nil value. 09107.235 ERROR Lua::Config: Call error onPlayerConnect:[string "...\DCS\Scripts/DCS-SRS-AutoConnectGameGUI.lua"]:53: attempt to call a nil value stack traceback: [C]: ? [string "...\DCS\Scripts/DCS-SRS-AutoConnectGameGUI.lua"]:53: in function 'newHandler' [string "./MissionEditor/GameGUI.lua"]:645: in function <[string "./MissionEditor/GameGUI.lua"]:644> (tail call): ?.
  11. Outbound is not a problem, he can play online right? :) Indeed, some network hardware specs may also help.
  12. You need 1 port and 2 protocols and that's it. Have you tried opening port 80 on the first router and check if it's reported open from that site?
  13. Since this bug popped up i always reload the mission after testing it. Also number your missions and increase the number after making some changes so you can always revert to a previous saved mission if anything goes down the drain.
  14. Hi Ciribob, how about sequential radio select buttons? So you just press an up or down button to select a radio.
  15. And maybe check with your ISP if they allow (TCP) port forwarding to that port.
  16. You could almost do this already, if you could set the frequency for a connected client (on the host machine) not being in an aircraft. Set the input to a 'What you hear' or 'Audio Mix' input (if available), connect and force a PTT with autohotkey/freepie or whatever and simply play/stream some music.
  17. I think you should focus on the 1st router, if you open a TCP port on that one it should already be reported as open and it isn't. Some routers need port triggering, maybe try a trigger for that port.
  18. Yup, something is blocking the TCP data. A 2nd router perhaps? Are you using a 3rd party firewall? If so, check the logs (and maybe disable the windows firewall service). Actually, it should be your 1st (talking to the world) router because if the port would be open it would (or should) be detected as open.
  19. I get this on a TCP scan, should report open: PORT STATE SERVICE 10308/tcp open unknown Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 0.21 seconds Raw packets sent: 5 (196B) | Rcvd: 4 (292B)
  20. That's fine, check if they're open from outside (can do both TCP and UDP). If you check UDP maybe it's good to have your server up. https://pentest-tools.com/network-vulnerability-scanning/tcp-port-scanner-online-nmap
  21. The system (windows) time, if it's off by weeks/months it won't show up either. You opened port 10308. UDP? TCP? Both?
  22. Interesting, i can't seem to turn it on nor the birds.. maybe we should switch missions.
  23. Had the same idea, maybe it's possible to get the RPMs of the aircraft from DCS so you could even have different frequencies of noise and humming in the background. But perhaps we should let CiriBob have a night's sleep, once per week or so before asking for more :)
  24. What he said! :)
