  1. Sry i linked to an older version of this configurator which still works btw but doesn't seem to be available for download there anymore, this is a link to the current version: https://fly.elise-ng.net/index.php/products/immersive-lcd-pro Looks like it has a trial period so you might be able to create a setup and save the config. You don't need the other software, just create your setup and export your configuration. It'll export files containing info per display like: _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('dcs_lcd1'); Description = 'Exported configuration with 1 projectors' Viewports = { P1 = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; aspect = 1.777778; useAbsoluteFOV = true; useAbsoluteAnglesShift = true; FOV = 0.823417; viewDx = 0.644606; viewDy = 0.000000; } } UIMainView = Viewports.P1 You can combine those and put the viewport info into 1 monitor setup file.
  2. With your rig i'd try a 3 viewport setup, you can define the eye position, FOV and the viewing direction per viewport.
  3. If you can run a 3 viewport setup without your fps dropping to subzero frame rates you can try this configurator: https://fly.elise-ng.net/index.php/news/77-news-immersivedisplaypro10r1 You can create a setup and save the configurations, then check the saved configs and copy the relevant parts to your own monitor setup. I wouldn't buy the pro stuff right away, maybe it works maybe it only did long time ago.
  4. Yeah it's pretty hard to create bugfree large applications, maybe NASA can help us (ED) out one day. Bug to code ratios The idea of bugs per lines of code isn’t really a new idea. Steve McConnell, the primary source for the previously mentioned post, has written extensively on defects per lines of code. Covering average bugs per LOC stats in his great book Code Complete (a) Industry Average: "about 15 - 50 errors per 1000 lines of delivered code." He further says this is usually representative of code that has some level of structured programming behind it, but probably includes a mix of coding techniques. (b) Microsoft Applications: "about 10 - 20 defects per 1000 lines of code during in-house testing, and 0.5 defect per KLOC (KLOC IS CALLED AS 1000 lines of code) in released product (Moore 1992)." He attributes this to a combination of code-reading techniques and independent testing (discussed further in another chapter of his book). © "Harlan Mills pioneered 'cleanroom development', a technique that has been able to achieve rates as low as 3 defects per 1000 lines of code during in-house testing and 0.1 defect per 1000 lines of code in released product (Cobb and Mills 1990). A few projects - for example, the space-shuttle software - have achieved a level of 0 defects in 500,000 lines of code using a system of format development methods, peer reviews, and statistical testing." 5. Yes it's fixed (X-55), thank you ED!
  6. No control in the F-15C for stick and throttle since todays update. They work fine in 1.5.8, also for other aircraft like the Mirage. Other rotaries seem to work it's just the stick and throttle, this happened on Open Alpha as well once.
  7. Nice, how about backward compatibility? In 1.5 you can basicly assign any parking or even no parking and the plane will spawn in a correct spot. Something automated would also be handy.
  8. Hi Goa, for starters maybe check the fps using DCS itself if you get different fps readings from different sources. Press Ctrl+Pause to see the fps in DCS. I got the FCU shoved down my throat last friday and tried the game mode in DCS, headtracking (non TrackIR) was sluggish, turned game mode off and it was fine again.
  9. I got 16Gb of RAM, no real issues connecting to servers on 2.5.
  10. Disabled my realtek completely and it still happens. I started checking the event log and there's always this event happening when stuff gets dis-reconnected: [From Windows logs -> Security] A user's local group membership was enumerated. Subject: Security ID: MyPC\SomeUserName Account Name: SomeUserName Account Domain: MyPC Logon ID: 0x563D1 User: Security ID: MyPC\SomeUserName Account Name: SomeUserName Account Domain: MyPC Process Information: Process ID: 0xab0 Process Name: C:\Windows\explorer.exe This event occurs a lot without disconnects but with the disconnects this event is always there. Happens without DCS running so it's more likely a Windows issue. Other people also report this, none DCS related: https://www.tenforums.com/performance-maintenance/28598-too-many-audit-success-security-auditing-events-happening.html Messed around a bit with what's mentioned in this blog under additional information but thusfar no good solution although some USB devices started to act a bit different when i changed parameters (so i changed things back). https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-hardware/usb-devices-keeps-disconnecting-reconnecting/7e7c792e-04f1-489d-a735-a8b74a7314b5 Before trying what's mentioned make sure to make a system backup or create a restore point at least in case you mess something up. It's no solution (yet) but maybe a step in the right (m$) direction.
  11. It's been a couple of months since i set it up, don't really remember what i may have changed in the deeper Banana settings. Messed around with ASIO4ALL to get the lowest latency on the output without glitches. I use the EQ on the soundblaster itself so i don't use any EQ in Banana for the buttkicker but obviously you want more low and less high frequencies to pass through. When you're hearing DCS voices coming from your butt you should probably adjust your EQ settings a bit :)
  12. Looks good! Yeah there's some mic latency, not that bad though.
  13. Depends on how you connect the cable i guess. Here's my Banana config: Hardware input 1 is for my headset mic, hardware input 2 for an experimental extra buttkick channel. A1 - ASIO4ALL sends audio to my headset (DCS+SRS/TS) A2 - Soundblaster Z buttkicker amplifier, downsampled to 2 channel (DCS creates 5.1 audio, only have 2 buttkickers and amplifier is just stereo) A3 - Cable output for mic inputs (works on SRS) VoiceMeeter VAIO is the default audio device in windows VoiceMeeter AUX i got currently setup as output for SRS/TS, you should ignore this because it is now setup to only record all comms instead of DCS. I'm also applying a bit of effect to the mic input so at least my voice sounds more like it would come from a radio.
  14. That's exactly the same reason why i use Banana too :) I don't see a 2nd ouput device in your config though (Hardware out), how are you planning to set it up?
  15. I also use Banana, think i had a similar issue with SRS and ended up using the virtual audio cable as input for SRS which works fine. SRS doesn't save it either but that's just 1 thing to add to your checklist before playing DCS :) I assume you want the audio directly to your speakers because you get some latency if you pass it through Banana. Asio4All will reduce latency a lot when you send Banana's output to Asio4All.
  16. I'm double natting, works fine.. SRS is better than you think! :)
  17. E-3 is valid at Batumi, there's even 2 parking spots for it. Apart from Soganlug you can spawn big aircraft anywhere from script without a problem on 1.5, hope we can get the same on 2.5. Thanks for checking it out!
  18. Maybe your firewall is blocking traffic?
  19. For me it's the other way around (2.5OB), it's disabled but it still hear it.
  20. I hope we're gonna see some solution/fix for this. Spawning AI from a ramp start from script may now result in:
  21. Thanks for testing this, it's been an issue since open alpha. Pretty much the main reason why i hardly ever hosted on OA, you don't want AI aircraft spawning on top of eachother or on players or in the middle of the runway when players take off and land.
  22. ... or automate it like in 1.5 of course.
  23. It would really help if we could get a function for that, especially now that 2.5 Caucasus uses the same parking ID method. The ME knows so i bet there's a function for that already under the hood. Could be as simple as: parking=getParking(AirfieldID, AircraftType) AI spawning was already causing issues on NTTR and now it's available on Caucasus as well. Hope some function can be added, or documented if it exists already, ASAP.
  24. Read the thread, it's already been mentioned.
