  1. If a dev could comment on it: Will the german version be night time capable in regards to employing the hot 3 missile, i.e. FLIR capability for the sighting system comparable to the Gazelle's Viviane system?
  2. T.16000m+TWCS combo. Yes, the stick has to few buttons and switches/hats accessable, but the TWCS throttle makes up for that and the stick's precision is the thing you want.
  3. I reckon nowadays anyone who can afford or is willing to spend between 380-500 dollars on a stick alone will go with Vkb and Virpil. What you save moneywise with the Warthog you will have to spend with your time finishing Thrustmasters job. I guess what TM would have to spent on polishing up their gimbal after the molding process would cost maybe equally as much as changing for a "real gimbal". I got a Warthog like a week back knowing full well I would have to open that thing up and getting my hands dirty. That in combination with a proper extension should hopefully provide excellent result (to the day when Vkb builds a dry clutch ffb gimbal!!!). Any place where I can get the Nyogel 767a grease in Germany or at least Europe?
  4. Since shipping prices are calculated only when you actually order things in the Virpil store, i'd like to ask here what shipping to Germany for the 10cm stick extension would be? From where would that be shipped to Germany in any case?
  5. I am a virtual Sa-342 pilot for a mere month now and am very happy things progress. And yes, the damage bug after restart was annoying. Thanks a lot...and looking forward to snipers peeking out of the sides some time in the future. Keep it up guys, cheers:)
  6. great to hear you guys came up with a solution that satisfies both camps. I know it sounds ludicrous, but once I was given a bit of a choice whether to have it clean or with labels, I would have found it way harder to accept with labels than without, compared to a situation where it was initially pressented with labels. I guess once you get attached to something you get a bit protective about it :)
  7. Wouldn't it be quite easy to have it both ways? I imagine the labels are being printed on as a seperate step, either after it has been cleaned from the injection mold or at the very end after the final assembly is finished. Simply skip the printing for those that want a clean stick?
  8. I am not a fan of the labeling and would rather have nothing printed on the stick at all. First, I will use it as "my go to versatile" for every aircraft stick, which means it will have different buttun designations depending on each individual aircraft. This means: most of the time all or parts of the printed labels will not coincide with the assigned function. I would probably then hesitate to configure it the way I want just to get the labeling order right with my button designation ....poor me :) And, it will probably smear off some day, and I inte d to keep it for a long time. Wouldn't be pretty I reckon. Why don't you make that an optional thing? Have two versions, one with and another without labels? Probably a vote would be good on this one.
  12. Thx for adding those txt files.
  13. yeah i feel you. But what is the use of adaptability if i cannot build my systme up piece by piece. @Sokol, just to enterain the thought: you are pretty knowledgable about arduino boards and stuff. Do you think it would be possible to connect the MGC Pro to an arduino board and have the inputs read out to the pic via that solution?
  14. god damnit, the revamped MCG Pro will be a very versatile stick...whatever sim or game you throw at it, plenty of buttons and axis to play around with. I wonder, what is the cheapest base one you can attach it to and keep all buttons and axis working?
  15. how many guys do we need to give this a proper go? Anyone willing to host it on a server?
  16. Anyone planning to play this mission in coop over the coming days? I've started flying the Gazelle, but have not had the chance to fly her cooperatively.
  17. If its worth it, paying for an improved and updated A-10c is fine....upgrades cost money in RL aswell :) Whether, such a thing would fit into EDs plans for the not too distant future aside, I would like to know whether ED considers a Suite 7/8is A-10c even possible, from a classification hence contract point of view? Does the F/A-18 we will get have some of that tech?
  18. Habe gerade was interessantes im inoffiziellen Kabel Deutschland Forum gelesen.
  20. @C0ff I' about to upgrade my isp contract to 100/6mbps in Germany and apparently, with this upgrade or change, i would automatically be given an ipv6 address only, no ipv4 anymore. Do i understand you correctly; if my isp internet connection is ipv6 only, i would not see any multiplayer servers listed in dcs's online lobby, but would have to look up and write down server ip's on the forums/individual vfs websites, and then connect to a specific server via ip direct connect in game?
  21. So after having kneeboard builder installed for about a year without sitting down to go through the manual and all the options: i finally did just that today, and i must say, cheers mate. That will get proper order into things. An your dynamic kneeboards....just the most ingenious idea really! But i have noticed or run into some issues and i am not totally sure whether its a bug (maybe the lastest 2.1.1 updates changed things around), something i have set up wrong, or is a bug in kneeboard builder itself. 1. The dynamic kneeboard in NTTR does not show the entire briefing for custom missions if it is more text than fits on one page. Is it supposed to make more than one page for very long briefings? 2. The dynamic navbeacons do not show the proper airfield names. And some airfields should have TACAM plus ILS data right? It shows only either or. 3. I have managed to change the kneeboard size for one aricraft only, the A-10c. It is not being applied to any other aircraft, despetite the profile being the only one set up for the 'All Aircraft' tab. 4. When i click on the change profile tab on the win7 taskbar icon, i get the following error message: ''Could not find a part of the dcs installation path ...blabla ...OpenAlpha\Mods\aircraft\Flaming Cliffs\Cockpit\KneeboardLeft\device_ini_original.lua`.'' I don't own the Flaming Cliffs pack, but i have the standlone F-15c and Su-27. I have only one kneeboard installation folder which is configured for the open alpha version. I hav not set up the legacy and open beta as of yet. By the way: posts on the previous couple of pages suggest kneeboard builder replaces an aicraft specific file called somehting like device_init.lua or device_init_original.lua. Some aircraft folders don't have that scripts folder and i have found that 'device_init_original.lua.' only for the A-10c, the only aircraft for which the kneeboard size has ben successfully change once. I don't know, atm i feel like kneeboard builder is fine for managing the images of the different kneeboards. But the dynamic kneeboard pages and profiles with aircraft specific kneeboard size and placement seems to be troubled. That was a bucket load of info, hope this does not discourage you. Does it all work dandy for you? Maybe its just my specific win 7/dcs setup. All other mods have been disabled via ovgme.
  22. Hey guys, so how does the Gazelle's Turbomeca gas turbine settle on exactly 43500rpm and 387rpm rotor speed? Does it somehow measure the rpm from the drive shaft and then up/downs the fuel flow, which kinda sounds not very precise or does it somehow put ''the brakes'' on the drive shaft to keep it around 43500rpm?
  23. Hey mate, i am trying to change the livery for the A-10c for the Danish fictional camo, for which i have to change the country to Denmark of course. When i do that and save it, the second flight ship or wingman disappears in the editor and when i start the mission, my A-10c spawns in a different location. The livery is the one i wanted though (Danish Camo). I guess i am doing something wrong when i change it, any idea what i am missing or what is going on?
  24. Hrm....i am kinda split about this feature. I just lost 1.5h of play because i stupidly clicked on quit after i reched something on the briefing screen. You know, the save game thing would mainly come in handy when i you gotta do something else, or on long training sorties where its less about immersion and more about getting things done without having to set things up each time i play. On the other hand: i gotta say, this thing; that you have to really do it each and everytime properly...and the feeling you get when i touch down, call in and taxi to the parking area...shut down and then it is finished....i don't know how often i would have that if i could break each and every mission up into multiple play sessions. I reckon its a tough call. Yeah, nobody has to save all the time...but i am not sure how i would use it!
