  1. Well, that is fine for me as well. Even a Lansen would be fun. Going 1 vs 1 with a Mig-15 in a Tunnan would be awesome. Or maybe a J-21R... Or a DC-3 so the russian pilots have something to shoot at without being downed by later gen US fighters...:music_whistling:
  2. Ahhh... frustration is high. I need to know if I should stick with Mig-21 or not for my coming cockpit build. However, if I decide for another aircraft those plans will not go far without DCS-BIOS support anyway... but still. I need to know :pilotfly:
  3. This forum never stops amaze me. First, we have speculation thread that was mutated into a Viggen wish list. Then a separate Viggen dedicated thread is created and it instantly gets flooded with other aircrafts wish lists :music_whistling:
  4. Here is an interesting documentary broadcasted in Sweden many years ago about the development of the Viggen platform. It is also much about the politics and economics surrounding this project. To bad there are no subtitles, but perhaps someone (me or any of the other Swedes in this forum) will translate some day... Anyway, there are some parts that can be enjoyed anyway, as a window to the past (from a technology perspective) and some flight scenes showing off the capabilities of the aircraft.
  5. Great, I'll download that tonight :)
  6. Well, as stated before. * A-10 flag gauge - Doesn't work * Any random MIG-21 gauge - OK The same Arduino, the same servo. So if anyone got the flap working, it would be interesting to get the details (software version, arduino board, code, servo etc).
  7. I installed the application last night and must say I am impressed. A great piece of software and the guages have been updated (compared to some screen shots here in the forum) so the MIG-21 instruments look almost exactly as in the sim. Well done! I flew some test runs with the Mig-15 and the Sabre profiles as well and they look good too. Now we don't have to worry anymore about Helios not being updated  A question though. Is it possible have the profiles split up on several monitors? Let's say I want some gauges on a third monitor?
  8. Is the file deleted/removed? Could the chart be updated with measurements (of the panels/instruments)?
  9. OK, thanks for the answer. By the way, English isn't my native language either, so no need for apologize here
  10. What about this indicator? Is it modeled at all in this simulator? There is only this reference at page 45/47 in the manual (at least I can't find it somewhere else). And I can't find it in the DCS-BIOS reference list either.
  11. I had a lot of problems as well, trying to get the flap gauge working. Everything was OK with led's, but as soon I added a servo it stopped working. Some months later I tried with a servo for my MIG-21, and then it was working perfectly fine. Don't know if I did something different, or if there is a bug with the A-10C flap indicator in DCS-BIOS?
  12. I have been reading about these Blue Flag events, and I really wish I was better at this and eventually join a multiplayer game one day. It sure seems to be a lot of fun :)
  13. I'm open minded to everything that would make my cockpit building more convenient, so yes - please share some more details about this. Unfortunately this forum seems to be very much A-10C biased, since every now and then when there is a new utility the first thing is always the MFCD's... I would love to have a convenient way (like UltraMFCD) to put the MIG-21 radar (and other instruments) on a second monitor or computer.
  14. Wow, a four seater - then we are really talking about a multi crew aircraft :pilotfly:
  15. Wow, I have been waiting a long time for a MIG-21 Helios profile (which doesn’t seem to happen), and then I stumbled upon this :) However there seems to be very low activity here, so is this still being worked on? And some question regarding the instrument design. Both the ADI and VSI in post #13 looks much more the MIG-21 instruments than the ones in the MIG-21 profile in post #14. Can they be replace easily? Can HawgTouch and DCS-Bios co-exist on the same machine? If so, I’m very much closer to actually start building my MIG cockpit.
  16. Well, this change defintely stalled my cockpuit build plans. I was looking forward to keep the DCS BIOS interfaces to almost only output, since the game had good support for toggle switches. Now I need to re-consider. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.
  17. Yeah, it was in the changelog. I also believed it should be an option. But now it seems this change was for the ones playing with XBOX-controllers... We who have more advanced controls or building cockpits it is a huge step back. Perhaps DCS-BIOS has to be used as a workaround...
  18. Hi and thanks for a great guide. However I have found some things that seems to be incorrect and I have a question as well. First topic is the oil pressure light (Page 23). Isn’t this the “bomb armed” indicator? The oil pressure indicator is next to the engine rpm gauge. Second is the SOD-57 emission indicator (“ATC RESP”), that is listed as an IFF indicator (Page 67). Finally, there is a green light left of the SORC main warning light that seems to be undocumented (also in the LNS manual). Anyone know what this is and if it is simulated or not?
  19. By the way, adding the F5 would make sense from many perspectives. Then we get both a USA fighter and a Russian MIG in the same package. Everybody who has seen Top Gun knows that (as long as it is provided with a black skin that is) ;)
  20. The Saab J21 was originally propeller aircraft that was in some ways unique for its time. The first one in the Swedish Airforce to have a nose wheel and also featured a catapult chair (since the pilot might get hurt by the rear mounted propeller). Unfortunately there was never any patent for the catapult design… but that’s another story. During 1945 there was a decision to jump on the jet train, and the J-21 was chosen as a test platform for this and some aircrafts were fitted with De Havilland Gobling engines and the model was then named J-21R (R is for the Swedish word “reaktionsmotor” = jetengine). This conversion demanded a lot of modifications however and the first test flight was in 1947 and 1949 real units was delivered.
  21. I agree, this is one of the few features in FSX that I am truly missing in DCS.
  22. Yes, that was perhaps not that hard, but still I wanted to see who got back first with the answer
  23. When will we have this in your 3ds windows? :pilotfly: And yes, to all you F-16 fanboys - this is another Swedish jet :)
  24. I guess this is how it looks like right now at the LNS office while this forum thread is going from one end to the other when it comes to experts adding what they "know" about the next aircraft :music_whistling:
  25. Ah, sorry. You can remove my post in this thread if you like, and I'll re enter it in the correct thread. Just wanted to have that specific question in the loop, since the Git hub issue report of it has been without a comment since April 18.
