    ARMAT?

Frankly, I'd be fine if a realistic implementation of ARMAT could be implemented even if the exact version we have may or may not have been able to support it, ala Kh-66. However I would not think it a good idea if a realistic aproximation were not possible, if RAZBAM don't have much of an idea as to the target selection procedure / HUD symbology of the ARMAT in Mirage 2000 type fighters they shouldn't bother.
  2. Those pictures have always been there and are confirmed to be of no relevance to modules LN is working on, they're just stock images.
  3. Could anyone post a picture of what the warning lights look like at night please? They look pretty hard to read.
  4. AFAIK the modules come with a small map each that the campaign for the module takes place on. The maps will also be able to be purchased separately if people aren't interested in the aircraft. Is my understanding back from the news post when it was announced.
  5. I think it is, I was being jammed by enemy player Mirages in the MiG-21 last night.

    DCS: F-5E!

Exactly, anyone can pull an out of context image off the web but at the end of the day the manual is pretty explicit about what stores can be carried where.

    DCS: F-5E!

There are plenty of pictures of F-5Es with quirky loadouts, but the default '70s model could only carry AIM-9s on the wingtip pylons as it states in the manual. BST are right to restrict the F-5E to a pair of sidewinders since they are developing an F-5E specifically from the era of the MiG-21Bis.
  8. Frankly this belongs in the 1.5 bug fixing forum, not the modding sub forum.
  9. Is there any evidence of it ever actually carrying any legacy Swedish dumb munitions? If not I imagine we'll be limited to the Viggen's normal 120kg m/71 bombs. Edit: specifically I mean the m/50 & m/56 HE bombs, were these still in stockpile in the '70s, '80s & '90s and could the AJ 37 even drop them? (ie: could the computer calculate an impact point for CCIP?)
  10. He's genetically engineered to have 4 arms.

    F-15E?

At the end of the day chaps, it's really the availability of technical systems and flight characteristics information that will decide the block number of any DCS:F-15E. Since that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised if an eventual mudhen was SAHR only. But suffice it to say, this is not a game-play decision and is 100% based on what is and what isn't classified information.

    DCS: F-5E!

You're completely missing the point, it doesn't matter the realism of the AI flight model. It's just a good way to compare your own maneuverability with and without external stores to a fixed reference point. Fighting an AI fighter makes it easy to see the maneuverability advantages of a clean aircraft. I can't believe I had to explain that to be honest.

    DCS: F-5E!

Well you're not meant to be able to put 8 IR missiles on the '21, it's a bug. And I assure you, the MiG-21 flies like a brick out-house with a full load of missiles. Try getting on the tail of an expert AI F-5E with 8 R-60s and then try again with no air to air missiles at all. You will notice the huge difference in how the MiG handles.

    DCS: F-5E!

Well only due to a bug, it flies like a brick if you put that much ordnance under the wings anyway. You'd never get behind an F-5 to fire an R-60 with that many loaded.
  15. [ame]https://www.flightglobal.com/FlightPDFArchive/1990/1990%20-%202880.PDF[/ame] Mentions the BK90 being provided with targeting information from the parent aircraft's targeting system before release.
  16. The initial versions could not use GPS targeting, so that leaves either the HLD or the radar aiming the BK90. I don't think the radar was sophisticated enough to designate ground targets on land and I've no idea how the EP-13 works.
  17. Could people kindly stop saying this? There's always someone in every thread... Everyone knows it's an alpha, that's why they're giving feedback.
  18. pff, I don't think anyone cares. I just hope the BK90 is included. :joystick:
  19. Yeah I linked it earlier, I wonder how the AJS 37 aims and designates a target for the BK90?
  20. Ah yes, the infamous MiG-26
  21. There is a theater planned for the Viggen.
  22. [ame] [/ame] fingers crossed
  23. Anyone have any images of the EP-13 Maverick sight in use?
  24. I just hope it has a way if indicating hard-lock AND launch warning unlike the MiG-21 :P. edit: that's a fantastic google doc! Thank you very much Sporg!
  25. Thanks, you mean these?
