Well the E is multirole, and it's probably superior to the C as a fighter what with it's new engine, RWR and better radar. I fear an early 1960s C may be stomped on, even by F-5E & MiG-21. Though it would have the saving grace of a single R.530 I guess.

Well, aside from its impressive turning performance... no. If you want a plane to take on the Su-27 & Mig-29 this isn't it. However if you want to fight the MiG-21 and other legacy 3rd gen aircraft then it'll do just fine.

The only way to get an accurate picture of the sky ahead of you seems to be to fly wings level. Problem happens in STT, TWS & RWS.

Most of the difficulty in using the MiGs cannon I find is it's terrible muzzle velocity resulting in the pipper flying off the sight glass at even low G. The M39 on the F-5 has a much greater velocity, more similar to the vulcan on the F-15 so I guess it'll be easier to hit with. However as to the ease of use and ability of the radar to keep lock I cannot say, the manual makes it sound good enough but who knows how BST will actually model it.

The base F-5A didn't have a probe either. Optional extras like refueling probes and radar warning equipment were added at the customers request, they weren't standard.

That's a bug, you can also load 8 missiles if you split them between R-60 & R-60M. But you're not meant to be able to do that either.

Maybe it's time to stop the ridiculous practice of putting all planes on both teams then. Hopefully we can finally see the rise of some 70s East v West servers. Pitting the MiG-21, L39ZA, Mi-8 & Gazelle against F-5E, Huey & Gazelle. After all, Mirage v 21 was popular back when that was a fair fight back. When the alpha state of the Mirage prevented it being as much of a threat as it is now.

That feature was only on the F-5A & B. It was removed in the E, and so it has no control stick in the cockpit to aim the bullpup.

That said they couldn't just add AGM-65 onto the current F-5E-3 they're modeling. They'd have to go on a separate F-5E-1, which mounted the older and 'MiG-21 tier bad' AN/APQ-153 required to fire them. An older 1972 F-5E would also probably not have an RWR, certainly not the TEWs style display in the F-5E-3.

Since the AIM-9P model is the same old low res one in the screenshots I sadly doubt they have looked at revamping the Papa.
