I believe it's very, very unlikely to ED release FC4, as we're getting more full fledged aircrafts. As much as I enjoy flying FC3 aircrafts, I only do it because of the lack of similar aircrafts with full clickable cockpits. What ED needs is to announce the next russian aircraft after the release of F/A-18C so we can stop using FC3 in some servers.

I was going to post the same thing Pedro did. It's all about fov for perception of speed. Increase your fov and you'll notice the difference, just like in the videos.

I split the versions using dcs_variant.txt on both installations, one is called STANDALONE and the other STEAM, it create two more folders on the Saved Games, the Standalone version is logging in fine but the Steam still doesn't ask for a log in.

Yes. Tried to run DCS Standalone and got an authorization error code 502, said I was unable to log but the game launched, my account name was on the top of the screen and multiplayer was available. Something wrong is not right. Maybe they're sharing the same Saved Games folder and it's causing some kind of conflict?

Since I was subscribed to Open Beta on Steam, it automatically downloaded the 2.5 update, but the game isn't asking to login into my account and I can't play multiplayer. My other modules seems to be activated. Already verified files and stuff. I'm also running the Standalone version 2.5, dunno if it's causing any conflicts.

Indeed. Just finished the download and launched the game. Fantastic. I wasn't expecting this, hope this wasn't an early release by mistake by ED.

Is the open beta already available on Steam? I had the Open Beta for 1.5.8 selected and now started a 9GB download.

You can also use your GPU FXAA through the Control Panel instead of using ReShade. I'm not sure if it's less expensive than ReShade, but it's a lot less than MSAA.

Simply outstanding work, ED! It was more than worth the waiting. This version is a huge step forward for the game, the community, for the company and for your partners.

I've gotta say, I'm impressed AF with the 2.5 performance. On my rig it performs better than 1.5.8 - which was my main concern and a possibility to keep both version, but I guess it wont be necessary. OUTSTANDING work, ED team! You guys nailed.

Yeah, done that, but I guess they're already bound to my account, but still I don't know how to activate then/download or something. I log in DCS with my account and there's no module manager, no option to download, and if I click on the module button on the home screen on the DCS it shows only the option to buy the module. This is confusing. Either I'm missing something, or is some kind of open beta issue/bug, or it can't be activated anymore (?) Edit: I'm trying to install both modules using the "DCS_update.exe install" command line. Edit 2: Apparently it worked!

I'm a DCS Steam user, and for the first time I decided to install the standalone version to try the new 2.5 update. I'm trying to activate my FC3 and A-10C modules, but I can't find how. Through the website it's not working and I can't find the module manager. So, what are exactly the steps to activate the Steam keys? Thx!

No, that's not the correct change log. There was another update on Friday. That change log is for the wednesday update.

I asked this on the official migration thread but it was deleted because reasons. So, I have FC3 and A-10C on Steam. AFAIK I can activate those modules if I download the standalone DCS World version on the E-Shop, right? But I won't lose those modules on Steam, right? And is there some kind of activation limit or these modules now are bound to an E-Shop account? I was thinking about downloading 2.5 Open Beta over the E-Shop when it's release and activating my modules from Steam on it to give it a go if those statements above are right. Don't wanna lose my modules on Steam + I might wanna keep 1.5.8 depending on the 2.5 performance. Thanks!

What I meant was, the F/A-18 will keep me very busy while the F-16 is... well... It's my number 1 aircraft in my wishlist, and if I could choose between the two or any other aircraft, I'd choose the F-16. I really hope - and I'm sure I'm not alone in this - that ED announces this bird after the release of the Hornet.
