Thanks for your answer but I'll try to be more explicit about what happens: I've put a FARP heliport somewhere. When the mission begins, an AI MI-8 is on approach to this heliport, with just 2% fuel. I've done a landing advanced command at the DP waypoint and I've put the landing little triangle in ME ( landing symbol) on the FARP heliport. In the mission, the MI-8 lands properly on the FARP heliport and shut the engine off. Until here all is right. But..but...exactly five minutes later the MI-8 starts its engine again, takes-off and lands immediatly after on an other part of the FARP heliport, just near an static Huey and a static fuel truck I've put here. But the stranger is even with no fuel, the engines stays ON after this second landing. I've tried to decrease more the fuel quantity but just with an liter less, the MI-8 does an emergency landing immediatly without reaching the FARP heliport. What I would wish is that after the first landing and engine off, the AI Mi-8 stays here without starting again.

Sorry MadDog but if a plane is moving on the taxiway AI planes aren't landing. As ED tester you surely have all modules. Try the attached file mission i've done. You need the civilian airplanes mod and VP crew ( Virpil) but you can easily get them. You'll see, the first AI plane will land properly but if you start your L-39 and go to the waiting point for the runway 30, You'll see the second landing AI turning around even if you aren't on the runway. If you stay on the parking, the second AI will land properly. In some previous versions we haven't this problem. i forgot: You need the mod with animals too ( goats, cows, deers, chicken ) CAUC-L39-Mineralnye.miz

Upuaut, if you read us, perhaps it's time to think about modifying your absolute amazing mod, to install it totally in c:\user\name\saved games... and after that, you willn't must to modify your mod after each DCS update. For now, your mod is working but if ED decides to lock definitivly the checksum of some .lua files, it's over.

I had already spoke about this problem. Especially that it wasn't the case in far previous versions of DCS. So it's possible.

Hi Sometimes, in the ME, it could be interesting to associate a sound to an unit, as the same manner an unit can transmitt a message with a frequency and HF power, in the advanced function, a unit could do a sound with level in decibel. So, some soldiers could speaking or shouting and the level of hearing could depend from the distance between the player and the unit, and could change if the unit moves, or we could create a sound ambiance around a static unit, as campaign or town sound ambiance. Sound banks are enough on the web to catch sounds to integrate in DCS

Thanks for your answers OK now, I know that it's a bug and a known issues and that BST works on it. Quadg, on an other mission I've built and where I had an engine fire, I know why now. When I saw the external temperature just going under 0°C, I switched ON the De-Icing. Since your explanations, I've done the mission without the De-Icing and with a Vi of 60 mph max during climb and I returned safe to my base.

Thanks for explanations but it doesn't explain why the time allowed to going beyond 610°C without reaching 625°C is reduced to one or two minutes while the user's manual says 30 minutes. That could be interesting if we could have a real Huey pilot here.

OK. It's absolutly evident that without connection, MP is impossible. I'm surprised that some users are surprised by that. If the fail is an internet connection down at their home, they can't even navigate. Even more so doing multiplayer online. If ED servers are down, it's the same as soon as LAN is impossible with DCS but the offline mode would be always ON. Hope, at this time, they're not working just about the 2.5 version enhancement but on the "without during limits offline mode" too.

It's worst that I thought. I thought that the DRM 3 days countdown began the first time we launch DCS with a connection down ( customer's connection fail or ED servers down ) But No. It depends from the last time we used DCS with connection. That means that if I return from more than 3 days outside my home and ED servers are down at this time, I can't even launch DCS. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: Around last Christmas, Wags made an announcement about end of DRM. What about this announcement ?

Hi Since the last updates, flying in altitude with the Huey is impossible. Perhaps it's the truth in real life but now, as soon as the EGT is over the green zone, the engine burns. On the user manual, that speaks about 30 minutes allowed in the caution zone, between 610°C and 625°C. But I've just tried a mission where I was forced to stay just some minutes in this warning zone, to climb to 8000 ft and my engine burned out very quickly even if I'd never reach the 625°C. So I think the Elbrus rescue mission is now, impossible to do.

About the DRM time allowed without connection: It's not even 2 days 23 hours... It's 2 days 10 hours.. It's not even the three days, It's less .......:furious::furious::furious::furious::furious:

Same in France Servers are down. So I have the DRM message: 2d,23h.... :bomb: I suppose the problem will be fixed widely before the fatal date !

Sorry but when I speak about tourism, it's with airplanes or helicopters having a realistic flight model. AFS2, alone in the sky without ATC and with unlimited fuel: not for me. I use P3D with some ORBX add-ons. Ok ,on the airports, it's more alive ( so this topic) with the famous ORBX characters but the regions are less elaborated than this one. Just compares ORBX trees and these ones. I absolutly prefer these ones.

Excuse me but I don't think that ED are sponsors. Even if the base of DCS is free with 2 planes, they havn't just made it for our pleasure. They have, as all people, family to feed and the basic DCS is just here to win money with paying modules. I don't blame them, it's quite normal. I have a point of angry with ED and they know which but it's not the subject on this post and I think that helicopters lovers could be more attracted by more effects and animations. I understand that F-15 or SU-27 inconditionnals pilots could not be interested. I pilot these planes too in DCS but not often for military fights. An other point: The mission editor is very powerful and I take a great pleasure too by building elaborated missions for myself. But often, I feel quite frustrated to not have other objects to include in them. For exemple, I've done a mission with an elaborated heliport on the shore of the nicest place of DCS 2.5 for me: On the shore of the lake situated at 39 Kilometers ( 22 nm) of Kutaisi, heading 64°. I'm quite frustrated to not have the possibility to put animated sailing ships or fishing small boats on the water of this lake, bathing people and umbrellas near a camping full of tents and caravans near the lake. Some rescue medical missions with Huey or MI-8 could be very interesting. It's just an exemple but it illustrates very well what I mean.

Because you think that all users are flying like you, in a Sabre at 30.000 ft ? Some of us are flying on low altitude and speed with helicopters. My wishs seem to be reasonable, not like birds in the trees. In fact I want dogs too but with the animated fleas in their fur too. Waterfalls are visible even from a plane cockpit and cable cars too. But other people available in the ME in infantry animated items would be welcome, like civilians people ( stewardess, generics civilian people) and airports moving equipments, sailing or motor ships for rivers and lakes. all these stuff allowing to give more natural life to DCS. DCS has so magnified the Caucasus that I'm surely not only the one having tourism as the main activity in DCS even if it's a military simulator. And even with a military simulator, you can do pacific missions. I can even going more far in my imagination and why not ? As the forest and woods of Caucasus are dense, why not having a fantastic bestiary in the ME editor, to make missions like bigfoot or werewolves hunting with helicopters? Please, don't laugh too loud, but don't forget that surely some of us are SF lovers.

No, for me, all is quite perfect.........in 2.2 I took care to not erase the 2.2, when I have installed the 2.5 bêta. But honestly, since the big graphic firework of the Caucasus in 2.5 b, it's very unusual when I want to fly above the sands of las Vegas.

That's why I can't add the lines in the dbcountries.lua for having the F-4 found on user files, in the US planes. And surely that's why our friend Upuaut needs more time to making the mod for this new version. He surely have to put all in saved games\.....

I've just done a mission with this mod just before the yesterday update and it doesn't works after the update. Each time we must wait that you could have time to update your fabulous mod. Effectively ED should recognize the quality of your work and integrate it in their update.

HI When you ask to an AI helicopter to land somewhere, it lands but keeps its engine running. How can I do to force it to cut the engine off ? I've tried to load it with minimum fuel needed to join the landing point, from its origin position and it cuts the engine off and I thought that I've found how, but after some minutes, it starts again, sometimes just to take-off and landing just after because the fuel reserve is near empty.

HI I've noticed too that some places on some lakes or rivers are a little bit tilted. For water skiing perhaps ? An exemple: On the Tkibuli reservoir, near Kutaisi, the water is tilted near the bridge on the south of Akhaisopeli and in a turn of the river between Tblissi and Dzergvi.

Hi I really enjoy 2.5 but some animations in 2.5 would be welcome: Waterfalls Cable car Chair lift Skier lift I think that after Olympic winter games in 2014, we could find many of cable cars and chair lift near Soschi.

To all Oculus Owners Hi Today, there is a big problem with Oculus. It doesn't run anymore. The problem is due to a out of date certificate of VR runtimes. It's not your Oculus or your computer. We must wait a fix and Oculus team ask us to be patient. But on their own forum, many people find that they had been patient enough, since 11 hours ago that the problem is appeared and I must confess that I become a little bit nervous against them too.
