I used to see a different format config.lua in the past, which also said what the right port number for HT is. Anyway, it doesn't work. Whats wrong?
-
Did you use the updated version? https://github.com/s-d-a/DCS-ExportScripts
-
I too lost two activations due to increasing RAM from 8 to 16. I did the activation, clicked "continue" and it popped up again. I did some research found the activation-repair file - it worked after another activation attempt. Once I used up the remaining 7 activations, I can ask for a new license, right?
-
I checked again, it's not happening in 2.0.
-
@Dafiew Which config button? :-s So you're using HT now? Can you post your Config.lua please? It seems like the format changed a bit with the version for 1.5.2 (Ikarus).
-
Couldn't get Hawg to work on 1.5.2 either (local and networked). Still I don't rule out missing something out on my side :)

I only have a few hours in single engine props, but I know I can trim them hands-off. Doesn't a L-39 have positive stability too?
-
Can I change the trimming sensitivity by adjusting the axis curves? Or maybe use an external program to change the repeatition speed of the keyboard and map it to a joystick button?
-
I find the trim is being too sensitive. Trying to be stable and level and read the map, however after 20s I find myself in a climb or dive.
-
@frischi It says touchdown should be at 260...280 km/h. I wonder how this works? The only way that I found to get the plane safely down is to approach at 380 km/h, 350 over the treshold and touchdown at about 320..330. Otherwise I cannot see the runway during approach and vertical speed drastically increases at low speed.

I tried the airbrake L-39 and MiG-21. I don't have any RL experience in either one, but they both seem fairly reasonable. Keep in mind that the authority goes in squared, the drag at 600 km/h is 4 times higher than at 300 km/h.
-
Hi there, I regulary experience a stutter moment when putting the flaps into landing position. Anyone else having that? Thanks!

Any news on this?

Spending Credit at the account...

I had the same problem when I tried to use the bonus miles :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=155113 -
jcomm - yes, the thin one is TAS, the big needle IAS. Billy, I don't know how you did it? Your N1 at 94% is significantly higher than mine. Did you do a level&stable turn without airbrakes? What version? I tried again with 350 km/h TAS, level&stable. DCS 1.5, freeflight mission at about 3000m. Did not try 2.0. 15° bank is okay, 30° and 45° is off. The higher the bank, the more the value is off. I was trying to fly a level turn at full TC deflection, on my L-39 it is not possible due to exceeding the AOA limit.
-
Right you are, I was unsure about this one. The TC is still off by about the same amount.
-
>I am probably getting the L-39 anytime soon :-) I like the L39, its got a good looking cockpit, excellent flight dynamics, easy to handle yet capable of doing aerobatics. I checked the turn coordinator again at 350 km/h. It seems to deflect only about 2/3 of the correct value: Who is the developer of the L39? I'll give them a headsup.
-
Hey jcomm, I'll check. The turn coordinator works a bit different than I'm used to. From the L-39 manual: "It is developed to determine turn and slip directions and bank angles at speed of 350 km/h. Angular velocity measurement limit is ±5,7 0/s, which corresponds to 450 bank angle and speed of 350 km/h." Thanks to the recent sale, I also bought the MiG-21. It's DA-200 turn coordinator is calibrated at 500 km/h.

What a pity the GEMA is blocking it over here! :(

Hi guys, I have quite a bit of experience wth other sims, but I do not get the grip with the mission editor - it's far too complex for my needs. I would like to put my L-39 at Gudauta airport, rwy 33, two cloud layers with some wind, noon time and no other aircraft. Just a usual after-work ride. I checked out a youtube video, but I could not set my aircraft as player aircraft. Is there any tutorial out there on how to do that? Thank you.
-
Did the developers take notice of this or should I contact them via private message?
-
Hi, I'm Olli from Berlin, flightsim enthusiast from 1993 (Tornado!). I am more into civilian aviation, but I love flightsims in general. Other flying includes X-Plane, FSX and PSX. The thing I like most about DCS is it's flight model and depth of systems. Fav aircraft in DCS is L-39! Cheers! :)
-
Guys, what I was trying to say: Its a bug. The turn coordinator needle should deflect a lot more. Did the developers notice this?
-
Hi guys, this is a bit of a noob question, I am new to DCS. Usually I fly X-Plane or FSX, for both sims there is a software called Air Manager. AM puts together bitmaps and moves them according to the output it receives from the flightsim. The gauges are fully programable. The software can run on the same computer or networked. Even my old laptop can do a 60 fps with a full suite of instruments in networked mode. I want to ask the developer of AM if he wants to write a plugin for DCS. But I need some info first on what steps need to be taken. So as far as I understand, there is the export.lua file - but does it include all the relevant data? What if (lets say) I would want to recreate the L-39 panel, are data like bank, AOA, and HSI deviation included in the file? How does that work? Thank you! AM examples:
