Yes, with new versions some older things don't work as they should. I think besides a "new functions"-list there should be also a "functions removed" section. Example is the MiG-21 flightmodel, which got worse with 1.5.4 (I think), but was hailed as being even more realistic.

Hi guys, with an update a month ago, I do not get past the mission load screen. What usually took 30-45s now takes 30 mins and counting. I tried the repair function at the DOS promt, but it did not help. If anyone has a good idea, I'd like to hear about it :) Now whats next? I thought of... 1) Saving all mission data / keyboard/joystick setup - what folder(s)? 2) Deinstall DCS via Windows programs 3) download DCS 2 and all modules and install How can I reinstall DCS without losing an activation for all modules?

Common guys! You charge 60 bucks for a trainer airplane with an IFR hood and the ability to block certain instruments, yet not all main instruments work the way they should? I feel it would be fair to the customers to deliver a bug-free product. I suppose it's just a parameter to change, is it?

Hi guys, I would like to do some long range flying. For this I would like to load them 350l tanks. This is possible, but only if I load weapons too. :( I just enjoy the flying, I don't need to take someones life or drop them weapons on a field and hit a cow. Is there any way to go unarmed with just the tanks?

Hi there, I would like to take my L39 or MiG21 for a short after-work flight around the block. I know how to do that in other sims, but I cannot get the grip with DCS. How do I find out what frequencies the navaids / ILS have at my airport so I can tune the right (which?) channel? Is the setup compareable to a western "set course&frequency"-HSI? Is there any quickflight manual out there where I don't have to read 50 pages to do a quick setup?

I just generated a quick mission (advanced) without enemies in the ZA. The default setup was "empty", meaning just the gun under the nose and empty pylons. So yes, it's possible.

I'd go for the L-39. Beautiful russian instruments, a breeze to fly. Can do rockets/bombs/guns too, or you can fly peacefully with the C version :) I believe the L39 is the more modern module too.

If you put a L-39C in a 800 km/h dive, you can easily pull 10g. As for pulling the Gs in a loop... I am not sure about this one (don't remember where I read it): I believe you can pull max. G depending on the speed... take the speed, subtract 100 km/h and divide it by 100. So you enter a loop at 700 km/h and can pull 6g... 600 km/h 5g... and so on during the loop. What I would fall in love with is an AOA readout... <3

I bought Nevada on Account#1, then transfered it to Account#2. Account#2 is my main account, the A-10C is also in there. Since I got Nevada as a prepurchase, I want to get the A-10 campaign for free. But "get serial" does not show up in Account#1, it says only "buy". How can I get the campaign for free? :)

Thanks for helping! I couldn't get it to work with this config, but at least the instruments showed up! :) So mixing up versions is not a good idea. I tried "Ikarus" https://github.com/H-J-P/Ikarus . Good menu, good gauges. However, the refresh rate is pretty low, looks like ~10fps. Also I had some other issues, but a low framerate like that does not work for me.
