  1. I did some tests and it seems you are right. CSS reverts to 0 degrees roll when roll is smaller than 5 degrees. ATTH maintains ANY roll, even if 1 degree. In CSS mode, if there is wind, it seems to auto correct to maintain current heading when at 0 roll. (time acceleration and slow speeds really show it) ATTH just starts to drift away. So i think you're spot on, thank you!
  2. If you mean the maximum speed within the DDI it moves from left to right. There probably is an option. There is in the a10c. Not sure about f18 But again, mine moves pretty fast when given full input from the Warthog mini stick. 1-2 seconds left to right i guess. This full input is given faster through axis saturation.
  3. Seems like a great product, I may order one in due time
  4. Try the saturation for the axis, so you dont have to push so hard. Saturation plus a curve worked wonders for me
  5. I've tried it, but they look and feel the same to me. At least how they are implemented in DCS. Both are steerable and maintain bank and pitch. Both disconnect about the same time with hard stick inputs. Anyone have a different experience? It's not really an issue, just curious.
  6. Much appreciated guys! I will try it again, now that I know what to look for.
  7. This is a quote from the wiki, but the same text is in the manual: So what is the difference between the above CSS mode and the Attitude hold mode?
  8. Interested to hear any development.
  9. Thank you, that lightning seems to do the trick. Just a tad expensive though.
  10. Does anybody know if there is a stick or base for sale which works well and uses force sensing as in the real F16? There used to be mods for the older cougar sticks, but an off the shelf product would be preferable.
  11. The hornet auto-trims only for pitch. Not for roll, so if you have something, like an asymmetric bombload, you will need to trim for roll. If you experience roll on a clean aircraft without wind, you may need to check your controller input. (Check with ctrl-enter)
  12. Try it with msaa off first. High res and high AA are resource killers. Also doublecheck if the RTX card is actually doing the rendering instead of the onboard chip
  13. What info do we have on this new technology? What can we expect? Im curious if this brings about new game engine improvements.

I agree 100%. Sure there is wind and the editor has some options, but it doesnt come close to reality. Especially the visuals of clouds are very lacking. Also, wind feels too constant in strength when you set it. But i believe hearing that some things were in the works, so i have my fingers crossed.
  15. In the options, there is a checkbox to sync the controls at startup. This will ensure the throttles are in off position when your warthog is.
  16. Thank you for the detailed explanation. I'm just curious how the plane will handle in this situation.
  17. Would you mind explaining how you triggered the MECH mode in the sim? I was trying to do the same, but couldn't manage it.
  18. You guys make some excellent points. As long as you keep the modules updated you can sell them to new players. I would certainly not mind if they add more stuff for a broader playerbase, such as civilian planes or maybe better land or sea combat modules. Even the less-fidelity modules are a great idea on the business side. I too have many modules and start getting more selective, but can always be tempted for new stuff. I hope they keep the momentum going and continue releasing/supporting the high fidelity modules for a long time to come.
  19. So, this is probably the golden age for flight simming with a lot of interesting aircraft coming out and enough ways for third parties to generate funds. But my question is, what will happen when all the most popular aircraft have been modelled. How will DCS generate enough income to continue existence for many years? With the current model of buy once, get continuous support, what will you buy once you have your 10 favourite aircraft. I hope to see my grandkids simming after all. Any thoughts?
  20. I have to agree that it's a bit much for new players to buy 1 or 2 aircraft, the map and the asset pack. Most will find this a too big step. In my opinion they should ask money for the aircraft and make the maps and assets free or very cheap. They could always ask money for every major 2 year update of DCS to counter the income loss People dislike paid DLC as a whole
  21. A lot of people use the Warthog stick, which has a dual stage trigger. The first stage of this trigger stabilizes the aircraft using PAC, second stage fires. This makes for a much more stable gun.
  22. Thank you
  23. Here are some things that i think would greatly improve the immersion of flying in DCS. I'm not just talking about the graphics, but also of added impact on the flight. All sorts of clouds. Clouds are a large part of he flying experience and can give an awesome feeling of altitude: Or just a good feeling of realism and atmosphere runways that arent perfectly flat: Wet runways Visible rain and rain which will decrease your visibility when flying through: Some randomness in the Flat/grassy areas instead of the pool table flatness. There's probably more, but you see where i'm going with this. PS obviously these are not my pictures, copyright with he owners and such
  24. If you started out with that link, it would have been a lot clearer on what you meant, But won't you agree that these are very specific bugs, while the majority of the fm won't change much from where it is now?
  25. Please don't turn another thread into a mud throwing contest. If you think something's wrong with the flight model, you can post a video or track to show it, so people can talk constructively.
