  1. I would not expect any major changes. Perhaps some fine tuning in the extremes of flight. I also recall seeing hornet pilots comments that it's very accurate.
  2. Sounds like over correction. Try to push the brakes evenly and not for long periods. Also could be that nose wheel steering is doing it's thing when you accidentaly apply rudder while braking.
  3. Maybe it's a good idea to use a system where some options are optionally optimized for readability on pc screens or otherwise realistically unreadable. The a10c uses a black bar behind the labels on the moving map. Not sure if that's realistic or game-optimized.
  4. Was hoping to change the text vs background brightness. Currently the text is barely readable, there is not 3nough contrast for the text labels.
  5. I don't see an improvement either. My problem is mostly the waypoint designate diamond moving on the ground, or it being in different spots depending on the heading you approach the target. Does the f18c calculate an altitude which may be too low or something like that? Just guessing.
  6. If I use wpdsg the resulting diamond in the HUD drifts as well. It's definetly not fixed correctly to the waypoint. This is how I came across this bug in the first place.
  7. Glad to see it's not just me. Spent some time to guess at this. Also, bug is hard to find, so some keywords. Waypoint wpdsg tgt diamond moving and wrong location. Coordinates are correct.
  8. Are there at this time any templates or user mission files available which approach the different scenario' s? For example a pre and post invasion scenario with a lot of bunkers etc. The default map is very.. peaceful
  9. The added some additional info on their Facebook page.
  10. Really don't think the intent is to mock anyone. They merely find it interesting that the pilots find different things wrong. This is probably due to a different perspective. Nowhere do they say this makes user reports invalid.
  11. This is great. The mirage module is already one of my favourites, and now it will be better.
  12. All being said I would still like to be able to buy the Harrier at 50% off [emoji16]
  13. Celebrating the release of dcs 2.5 with a sale for only Steam? Please allow loyal dcs-standalone users to buy with the same discount.
  14. Ok, so the process starts, but then terminates for some reason. That's difficult to troubleshoot without inside information on what it's trying to do. To be honest, the programmers should add some error messages on crash for what has failed. DCS does need some c++ runtimes. You're not having multiple DCS folders and try to launch from an old 1.5 backup or something like that? Can't really think of anything else, sorry.
  15. My money is on the antivirus as well. If you want to be certain, just deinstall, even if only temporarily. Else... If you open taskmanager whilst starting dcs. Does it show the process or nothing at all? Did you start the executable directly from the game folder in explorer? Do you perhaps have multiple folders with DCS files? Try searching your drive for dcs.exe (believe thats the name) Did you move or rename the folder with Dcs? Check if the registry entry for dcs points to the correct folder.
  16. Are you able to run any other intensive 3d game for longer than an hour? - if not, temperature buildup could be causing problems. - try a benchmark for an hour - 3dmark for GPU - pcMark for CPU test Are any components overclocked. - Try running stock speed. Have you run a memory test program? - Bad memory will cause crashes on every program. Is it an application crash, or a bluescreen? Do you need to reboot after a crash? - bluescreens are mostly hardware or driver related. Did you download the game fresh off dcs website or do you have some local copy? You say you tried to run on another computer but have similar results. Did you share ANY components? Even something like a mouse? Troubleshooting is a process of elimination. Running any other game for long periods will exclude a lot of usual suspects.
  17. No worries, Its a great campaign and i didnt have to reset my progression
  18. I had the reverse problem. Coming from 1.5 to 2.5 My M2000 campaign would not continue. After some searching in the logbook and the mission folders. This turned out to be due to a difference in file naming between both DCS versions. The old name was "Caucasus M03 FINAL.miz". The name name is "Mission 03 FINAL.miz" So after a simple edit in my logbook the campaign would start again.
  19. Thank you for this great update. Looking forward to everything you will release, especially the Tomcat!
  20. Also, realize that you cant just jump into dcsworld 2 yet. Dcsw 2 is still in alpha and requires the purchase of the nevada module. Current official version is 1.12 Beta 1.5 will work with your key and has much better graphics (but is still in beta) I would suggest download and start 1.5 and try adding the a10c key from there.
  21. The Cities and overall feeling of speed and flight are amazingly done, but i have to agree that in the end of the day it's still flying in your backyard without the real thrill of flying over enemy terrain. And if i may rant a little, there are quite a lot of really empty desert area's on this map, which to me, are not very interesting, and i have difficulty creating scenario's for. (I know this is the real terrain, but that alone doesn't make it interesting)
  22. My vote went to the 4th gen multirole aircraft. The a10c is still my favorite aircraft with all its complex systems and newish MFD's, so i can't wait for a faster jet/real multirole aircraft to appear. The F18c will be great, but an f16c would be nice as well. A dynamic campaign could be a great addition if done right. In a real conflict no single one pilot has that great an impact on progress, so for you to really make a difference you would have to be able to make some strategic discisions as commander as well as just fly the generated missions. And if its going to 'feel' right the area should be 'alive'. In a lot of missions there is a single area of intense action and if you steer away from that you will find the map empty. It would be great if it could be build so that wherever you fly you will find things going on as you would expect in real life, even if that means you will most probably be shot down by SAM of scrambled jets. ;)
