  1. I think this is it. If you try to enter points before the map appears (which takes a while) then you can't enter points without knowing the entire address.
  2. that's really interesting! I wonder what the logic behind that is, because it seems like a very odd design choice to not allow tacan/vor navigation

    TACAN

I see we can tune NDBs for IFR navigation but what about VOR or TACANs?
  4. so that's the thing I'm pretty sure I'm in 55P CS. Not sure where 31N AA is, so putting in the coords shown in the kneebaord is way off
  5. hey so seeing something else now that's confusing me. when re-starting the same mission, I tried to put in the TGT point however you can see on the keypad it has a very different grid automatically populated. i've noticed this on other missions as well. how do you put in the correct full location here when it starts you off with a wrong one?
  6. ok thanks, this may be causing a lot of people headaches as I assume george would prepare his weapons systems correctly before firing. any idea what else needs to be done from the CPG that George doesn't do?
  7. Question: when starting up cold and dark, will the CPG boresight on his own, or do you have to do it manually?
  8. ok so not supposed to happen. ill try reinstalling and see if it happens
  9. gotcha, so maybe you can't see voltage
  10. this worked very well too. now i can change my ACQ source if needed but still have routing to target area
  11. the plot thickens even more! i flew very far away from my targets and reset George. I turned back towards my targets and had Geoge pick up a new target from 5km away, and gave him the green light. He started firing on the target from >3.5km away this time! still not terribly accurate but A for effort. Earlier he refused to shoot unless he was <0.5lm away
  12. so I got around this but placing a target point T01 on the bad guy, then setting T01 as my ACQ source. that way I can always see my distance from the enemies in the HMD. i was hoping to be able to always see the distance to the TADS in my HMD but that doesn't seem possible
  13. see for me sometimes he's super accurate, but then bumps his head and can't hit the broad side of a barn. it's the inconsistency that I'm finding odd
  14. Having some trouble getting George to fire on targets with the gun consistently. Upon my first run of the mission, George had great aim and killed a target from pretty far away. I was able to lock and kill 3 targets in a single run. However on subsequent runs, he refuses to fire until I'm almost right on trop of the target. Check out the screenshot below: George has an enemy locked up dead ahead, 1.4km away, and is green to fire at will. However he will not shoot until I'm right on top of the target, and barely hits it. It just seems inconsistent when George decides to fire. Anyone else experiencing this? And the more runs I do, the worse George's aim seems to get. First run he was sniper shotting 3 consecutive targets from 2kms away. Now when I'm .5 km from the target he can't hit a thing, as shown in screenshot (you see the bullet impact points above and below the target)
  15. hmm so I'm still not entirely sure how this works. check my screenshot. George has an enemy targeted up. I have TADS as my ACQ source. However the distance thing says N3.2, while the actual distance to the target is much less.
  16. Quick q: where can you see the current battery voltage? I want to keep an eye on it when on the ground to make sure I won't kill it, and to also make sure it's charging.
  17. thanks you're right. I ignored the C2 part and it looks to have been placed correctly. I've also come across many kneeboard points that did not make sense and really threw me off while learning. i'll keep a skeptical eye out now
  18. So I'm trying to enter all of the points for this missions, but I'm having trouble with GWT. For all of the other points, when entering the coords, all I did was enter the 8-digit number and they worked. However for GWT, the 8-digit number is a hundred miles away. I think because is has a C2 instead of a CS like the other points. But what I did a single backspace on the keypad to turn the CS into a C2, the keybad blinked at me and wouldn't let me enter it. How do you enter coords where some of them have different C2 or CS values? Thanks
  19. after installing this the ground dust looks reddish, is this supposed to happen?
  20. hooray! i thought flipping them up turned on the squelch. life is good again
  21. Having issue with hearing ATC and my flight. If I turn up the MASTER knob more than a little there is a ton of static that becomes unbearable. But if I have it too low I can't hear anything. How to hear both ATC and FLIGHT without lots of static? Thanks!
  22. and as a follow up, how far away does George engage with Hydra's while he's in the CPG seat?
  23. fantastic! it's already fun as it is now, but adding that additional functionality will really make George and the Gang super lethal
  24. so yeah looks like my first intuition was correct. Long down re-populates the previous picker-list with highest priority first. maybe in the future we can separate George from TADS so even if TADS loses a target, George will still remember until you've destroyed the target.
  25. so if you look at my screenshot I have T02 as my ACQ point, but I don't see a distance in the HMG? Unless it's the N3.0? not sure what that is
