  1. still wondering about this
  2. ill try some of these tips. as for selecting the next target in a group, I do George down long to get the group list back up without having to de-slave.
  3. i'll try and get a video of mine, but as you can see in the screenshot I'm at almost a perfect hover, so the platform was very stable. if I had to guess it may be a LoS issue. As you can see the target is indeed locked and lased, but at a steep angle and with obstacles around it. after this screenshot was taken I tried to pop-up to get a better angle but was shot down, thus re-emphasizing the need to stay very low with high attack angles.
  4. full set, beginning of mission yeah not sure if I can do that as PIC? but the box should be there at some point i think
  5. so yeah I did manual consent first, and that's when George said "engaging" like he's saying in the screenshot. but that didn't work, so I changed to auto-consent to see if that worked, but it didn't. i just took the screenshot after trying to auto consent, but you can see him saying "engaging" in the upper-right of the screen after i gave manual consent. kind of back to back. very odd. looks like some kinks to work out, especially if they have him say "engaging" but there's something out of constraints
  6. George has a target lined up and lased, I told him to fire the missile, and he goes "ENGAGING!".... and then nothing happens. Anyone able to see why George is lying to me from the screenshot?
  7. yes I think this is a known issue and DCS is going to have to work on George targeting some more
  8. quick q: looking through target abbreviations, and unsure what to label as secondary GRAD target in the TSD? I already have my primary target as: TG TG TGT <coords> <elevation> What should a secondary GRAD be labeled as? TG ? GRD <coords> <elevation>

    Button?

Quick q: what does this button do? Clicking it changes it to "position"
  10. version in download says 140 with a 1979 change date. is this correct
  11. Just started learning the F-14 with a FFB2 stick, so wanted to know what the state of force feedback development is. aka where it's working and where it's not, so I know what's going wrong on my end or in the sim? For example altitude AP hold with FFB is wonky. Thanks for update. cheers

  12. thanks, cause yeah I'm doing things by the book but my ALT AP is doing wonky things with my FFB trim and most definitely not holding an altitude. (sometimes seemingly trimming all the way down)
  13. Quick q here: what button do you press to cancel a pilot radar lock? For example I press 'target designate forward' to radar lock up a target, but I want to cancel that lock. thanks
  14. any step-by-step AP guides out there for the updated AP system you know of? Cause I still can't get mine to work properly (with FFB stick)
  15. indeed. it's a great little training mission. can't beat the tropical vibes
  16. thats a lot of skins!
  17. does that create a target point or a pilot point?
  18. i guess the question then is though what does Goerge do after your attack run and he loses TADS target? he seems to wander aimlessly (pun intended)
  19. gotcha. well now we know "19" is an SA-19
  20. ah ok. is there a list of the RWR symbols somewhere? i can't find it in the manual
  21. Testing out the radar warning system and have a question about what I'm seeing: I don't see "19" in the manual. In the sim this is an SA-19 launcher. In the manual it says SA-19 is "S6". Not sure if this is a bug or I'm interpreting it incorrectly.
  22. I've got a lot of the TSD actions down, but one thing I'm struggling with is how to place a target point (T01) at the location of my cursor. Can someone just give a quick step list on how to do that? Thanks! nvm I figured it out. also had to make sure your TSD is in ATK mode 1) pan to location and cursor depress 2) point 3) add 4) TG 5) depress cursor at target location
  23. Still trying to get the George button flow down for multiple attack runs. When flying as pilot, do you have to press George down short after completing every attack run? I find if I don't he does not like to target again and the TADS just aimlessly drifts around. And then when coming around for a second pass I press short up while looking at the target and George says "slaving". However, I have to press short up again in order to get a target list. Is this correct? It all seems sort of inconsistent on what needs to be pressed when, when doing multiple attack runs on the same target group. Thanks for any input
  24. Having some trouble getting the Heading Hold to work. it seems to be working on initial hover. once I'm a few feet above the ground and relatively trimmed out, the heading will indeed hold. However say I want to turn 90 degrees to the right, what is the procedure for that? Because if I press right pedal far enough then you overcome the heading hold and turn towards the right, however if I stop myself at the exact heading and press trim, after releasing the trim the helicopter keeps trying to spin either direction and won't hold the heading. it'd be great if someone did a video on the heading hold (and other SAS systems) to really see what's supposed to be pressed. maybe there's one out there already and i haven't found it
