Ya I understand, but read his prediction. Those 6 months were to try to setup a better process. Not to make the grips. But no this month is it for me before I start HOTAS shopping. So I understand where your coming from.

I understand that, but for a long time this has been the month he said to look for progress. Designing a product as a one man show would take an understandably long time.

I understand your skepticism, but Im gonna wait for this month to be up and see what pictures of progress he has until I pass judgment.

Here's what I think should happen... 1. ED should make starways work the normal texture. I remember hearing that it was beyond what they were orginally planning to upgrade for the caucuses. If this is true, it could help them get 2.5 out faster 2. Starway should leave his donation open and ED should promote donating to help him out even more. That way even when the donations have slowed down he can still get a little extra. Everyone wins!

With ED working on enhanced explosions mabye this will get fixed soon....

Why can't they protect this the same way they do their own maps? Why can't they consider starway as a 3rd party developer? I really don't understand.

I realize that DCS WWII is still a ways off... But after Normandy and Hormuz I've got an idea on how to make new maps. ED could do a map and have a modern AND WWII era options built in. So once you buy a new map, you could switch "modes" with the click of a button changing the city buildings and forest to match the time. This way ED could keep a more consistent supply of maps coming and make people who buy the maps feel better that they are getting more for their money while decreasing the work load on themselves. In other words, imagine a new Hawaii map and that a few more WWII planes have been released. You could do a Pearl Harbor replica mission, and then switch over to modern day Hawaii for some hornet and tomcat training exercises. Whatcha think?

You guys are sure you would want the super hornet after already getting the hornet?!?? I mean the super hornet is awesome but I would think you would want more variety. Also, while the F-22 is FAR away from declassified enough, this is hypothetical so.... WHY ARE THERE SO FEW VOTES FOR THE RAPTOR?!?!?? I think I might go into depression.

Jets like the F-35 will not be able to be replicated until years from now due to how classified the specifics of the jets operation are... Although it would be totally amazing. (If a F-22 sim were every made I might cease to have a life) As for the Gerald R ford class, that would be cool too. But it would also be a lot of work to make a carrier that you can't even fly the jets that go with it. I would rather ED focus on 2.5 and the F-18C than worry about the future of navy in DCS. Still an awesome idea though!

I agree, aircrafts navigation lights need to be visible from miles away as well... They only become visible at closer ranges

Oh okay. I should've known people would blow it out of proportion... If he's making his own bases wouldn't he have to create some kind of USB driver? Maybe he could team up with some other programmers?

Questions Hey Hegykc I have a few questions... I know you are going to make your own quality bases for the stick and throttles but are you going to have both desktop bases and chair mounted ones? As much as I love the centered chair mounted idea, it wouldn't work for my desk and chair setup.... Also what about switches on the bases? Are you going to have the replica panels around the throttle base for the f-18 or are you going to have more generic bases with switches that people can swap out diferent throttle/sticks on? If you do go with a generic base I would not label those switches like the mamba III does so that people with OCD can use them for things other than what they are labeled :D Also while I don't own a warthog I think creating more user-friendly programs to go with your sticks would be a great selling point for competition. I've heard that thrust master software isn't very easy to use....

since eagle dynamics is going with the C model, I would imagine most of the stuff would be declassified. However with the A-10C, Waggs said in an interview that they left some stuff out at the request of the Air Force. So there might be some things left out however it shouldn't affect the realism of what is implemented. Also while I have been flying the M-2000, i have to agree that the f18 is the most interesting of the modern sims they have planned... After all it's a multirole fighter that can use aircraft carriers as well, I don't see why it wouldn't end up more popular than the A-10.

2 plane airshow Have you tried making a mission with 2 planes in it as if it were multiplayer, flying the first plane and then in replay taking control of the other one? :joystick:
