When you combine the multiple times that ED said it was set to come before the end of the year (yes it was their target, but this was the most concrete of their goals) with the fact that it was their number 1 priority, and combine THAT with the fact that the newsletter had just made it sound like 2.5 had very little left (tree rendering method and converting some old items). Then it is easy to see why a post saying it won't come this year the very next morning after that newsletter would cause people to question what is going on. It's just a matter of the newsletter painting a different picture on 2.5 that what was posted.

ya and it was said a few more times in August as well. Its like what Chizh and the newsletters have been saying are from different worlds

Its the 2.5/Caucasus that frustrates me.... look at my previous post.... 2.5 was such a priority that they kept saying we would get it this year. But now its said in the russian section that we won't, all while the newsletter that just came out made it sound like they had very little to do left on it...... It just doesn't add up

This doesn't add up.... they kept saying 2.5 was slated for this year. And in this Friday's update they listed how to load forests and converting some of the old items over as the biggest things to get done for 2.5. That's not much. Ughhh

What was? 2.5 or the hornet update? Because that was August so only 2 1/2 to 3 months ago.... sorry I'm just gonna hit depression here soon.... :(

Because the reality is that 2.5 was multiple times said to be coming before the end of this year.... Not just more of the same divided DCS version stuff that we have had. We were not being over optimistic. We were going off what the devs said.... we realized that everything is subject to change, but didn't think that would apply to the most "sure" of their releases. Let's not forget that 2.5 is actually the much delayed DCS 2.

Currently there is no way in DCS to use a voice chat. HOWEVER, people use teamspeak to accomplish the same end. There is also a mod that allows you to use the radios in game to communicate on different channels called DCS simple radio, which can be found in the mods section of this forum. (if your into modding that is) Welcome to the forums and to DCS World!!!

Literally every time 2.5 has been talked about by Wags or officially, they have said it is set to come before the end of 2016. And as time has progressed they have said it is still set for that. I'll try to compile the quotes but 2.5 based off of the devs should be what we expect for this year

I'm wondering if the update for Nevada will come with the update to the caucases as in it will be part of the 2.5 update.

Also some of you are claiming that he will loose some customers because of delays? What? So if he finally gets this stuff out and for sale some people are gonna say "Oh look at that hegykc finally got those grips and panels out. But I'm not going buy what I always wanted because it took longer than I think it should have." .... LOL what?!?!

Wow good preformance! What are your graphics settings at? I haven't had any real issues with win 10 either...

The only way I know of is to set units to transmit an audio file over a certain radio freq. But even though it would fade with distance it would be audible in-cockpit. If you are making a video the best option is to use a video editing software to add it in afterwards.

You can get very smooth camera movments if you use trackIR for the external cam and adjust your trackIR settings to be smoother.
