There does exist an actual limit for a landing with asymmetric load. For carrier landing where gross weight is 33,000 lbs or less, asymmetric load cannot exceed 17,000 ft-lbs. If the gross weight is above 33,000 lbs than the maximum is 14,500 ft-lbs. As per NATOPS.

ADMIRAL189'S CORNER - INCOMING SHIP MODELS
VGlusica replied to Admiral189's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Outstanding mod, please keep them coming. Thank you very much for your work. -
I have to second Wabacku here, Nero.ger is putting forward an entirely legitimate request "stop locking lua files." I believe this to be a straightforward and to the point request. It is most certainly not "noise." Since we had this all along it should be easy to implement. I will repeat the request on my own behalf, what we need is for ED to stop locking lua files. If ED feels that this is not possible, then implement functionality to edit CoreMod files through Save Game folder.

c0ff maybe I am just being dopey, but I am thinking that we might be talking past one another here. The issue is that any mod made under Core Mods disables the module moded as it does not pass the IC. Was this intended by ED? I know that ED does not support modifying the core game and this is entirely understandable. Some time ago, maybe two or three years ago, we had a similar situation where any mod made to the game would not pass IC (I am exclusively talking SP here) and this was changed to where you could have mods again. So, at a risk of sounding repetitive, has ED made a decision not to allow mods within Core Mods?

No IronMike please dont change it. Even though I agree with sublime in principle and with you in that most would calm down after the initial adrenaline dump, I believe that this is a spot on behavior for a NFO. Now if you had an EOD guy in the back seat it would be a different story. Brown shoe folks, cant live with them but, they do occasionally come in handy in a pinch.

I thought this might have been reported already, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. If this is duplicative I apologize. Bug (if it is one) is fairly self-explanatory. When releasing JDAM’s the weapons release from station 2 and then station 3, which are on the same side of the jet. From the available pubs this does not appear to be correct behavior. Curiously, this behavior continues even if you select quantity and step to station 8, station 3 still goes before selected station 8. JDAM 1.trk

Works for me.
-
HB, please acknowledge this bug.
-
So, what I was referring to, is the jet releasing both weapons from one side. Looking at available pubs, that is not correct.
-
Please forgive me if this is off topic, but where do we stand with weapons being released from one side first creating an imbalanced load?
-
I am having this issue also. Curiously enough if I load gbu-16's first one picks up the laser and hits. Subsequent ones appear to release late, dont pick up the laser and go long. I tested this over several runs with same results. If I switch to CCIP and release about 15 seconds early weapons pick up the laser, guide and strike perfectly.

So, we do seem to have parts of maps that are missing, or not integrating with one another?
-
Got it. I was kind of curious if that might be the case, but was not sure. I should have also mentioned in my original post that this is on a PG map. My only misgiving is that I don't recall this being an issue before. I have been away from the Harrier for couple of months.
-
So I just noticed this, but I am not sure what it is all about. I don't know if this is a bug or something that I am doing or on my system. I think it might be me. I could not find anything mentioned about this on the forum. The issue is, in the Harrier with SCL set on 25 or below, part of the chart seems to be missing (please see pic). If set on scale above 25 everything is fine. It appears as if part of the chart in appropriate scale is missing. If anyone has an explanation or can help I would very much appreciate it. I tried doing a repair and that did not help. If additional information is needed I am happy to provide.

[NO BUG] Using JASOW and JADAM against stationary ships.
VGlusica replied to VGlusica's topic in Bugs and Problems
Definitely an error on my end, never even considered or realized that speed setting mattered without additional waypoints assigned. Thank you NineLine, you are super nice person even for a Canadian. : ) -

[NO BUG] Using JASOW and JADAM against stationary ships.
VGlusica replied to VGlusica's topic in Bugs and Problems
Precise setting was enabled. I have included the mission file, in case you want to take a look at where I set the waypoints. It appears that it makes a difference if the waypoint is over water vs. over land. Discrepancy appears to be larger when waypoint is over water. Weapons Test.miz -
[NO BUG] Using JASOW and JADAM against stationary ships.
VGlusica replied to VGlusica's topic in Bugs and Problems
Roger that. Thank you for your quick response. I do have to ask one more question. Is there a discrepancy between F10 map and ME? I am only asking this because I set all the waypoints with ME. I zoomed in and made sure these were placed as precisely as possible. When placed on land ME placement seems to work just fine. -
So, has anyone tried to hit a stationary ship (let’s say at anchor) with a JADAM or JASOW? I tried this several times with both JASOW and JADAM and these always miss by about 50 meters or so. The mission is simple air-start on PG map with some targets set about. In the included track I use GBU-38 in TOO mode. When I use JASOW (C version) it does the exact same thing. I use this mission to test things. Not sure if this is a bug of some sort, don’t see it mentioned anywhere. Of course, there is a possibility that I am doing something wrong. If someone can take a look, I would much appreciate it. AS1.trk

JTAC and Guns So, at the risk of sounding entirely dopey I will put thisout there. Is anyone else having anissue where JTAC keeps asking for Guns over LGB’s? This happens even if under waypointactions/tasks I set “guided bombs” as weapon. I will include my mission file with this post. It is a very simple set up I use to practicewith new weapons as they become available. JATAC will call for LGB’s if you have no gun ammo. Also, JTAC will call for LGB’s if you replacethin skin vehicles with Tanks. Anyway, Iam curious to know if this is just the nature of the beast or I am messingsomething up. LGB Test.miz
