  1. OP is saying she's pitching so ONLY the NLG is on the deck. I will say it's 99.99999% an improperly trimmed jet, simply because there's no way the engine weights alone would not be enough to keep the mains on the ground in a neutral trim.
  2. Can't say I've noticed a tendency for the big girl to nose sit, but then again I'm usually inbound with approx 3000 Kg of gas. I'm assuming that you also meant Kg for your fuel load. Besides that, how was your frame configured? Was she slick or loaded? How were your trim settings? Do you have a track showing her snapping down?
  3. Hopefully ED has eyes-on for this and implements the necessary changes to both the Fulcrum and Flanker, although I personally dont see that happening until the mythical ASM upgrade to FC3 frames occurs (if ever) or at the very least the MiG gets PFM. Either way, FC3 has been relegated to the lowest point on the totem pole.
  4. Unfortunately, a quick Google search shows that this effect is actually true to life, as seen here
  5. They did implement backlighting only, I think its was around the time the 6DOF pit dropped, maybe an update after. The update after that reverted it back to the flood wash that we all know and *ahem* love. For me, the Flanker's illumination is nowhere near as bad as this, the floodlight just barely illuminates the center console. It's not so much that the Fulcrum is crap, it's more of she's been constantly put on backburner while what people are more familiar with are getting the update (though the Sea Flanker should wait it's turn till after my beloved MiG-29 gets updated first IMAO)
  6. As far as the Archers go all I can say is have a look here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=183130 Keep in mind that the Fulcrum was designed from the onset as a point defence and front line fighter.
  7. Rely on BRAAs fed to you by AWACS or your RWR. Once emitter strength is about halfway on the RWR, put the signal on your 12 and start scanning. Also, use TWS2 in conjunction with R-77's, just in case there's a secondary target near the primary threat
  8. I was working on building a mission that includes a carrier strike for my squadron, and asked one of my members about setting an anti-ship task for the Viggens. He said to set the Bx waypoints. Problem is, I only have the standard tabs for the waypoints. I do NOT own the Viggen. Am I unable to set up the waypoints properly simply because I don't own the frame? If so, this puts a serious hamper on builders, who basically can't build for others just because the builders themselves don't own the aircraft. I have included snips of both mine and his mission editor windows for reference (first is my ME, second is his). *EDIT* Submitted on LNS' bugtracker as well, ticket no. 0000588
  9. Unless you're in a heavy furball or flying with lots of AI, AWACS info tends to get bogged down, best bet is to get a BRAA before everything kicks off and pay attention to your RWR
  10. Easiest way I found to see if A/P is engaged is to look on the warning/caution panel and see if the trim lights all go out
  11. If you're referring to Mission 8, change two of your wingmens loadout to A2A (4xR-77, 2xR-73). when you start getting enemy nails, send those two to engage bandits and you press the ground attack with the remaining wingman.
  12. Excellent read! Now if we only had a more logical ATC...or a way for a client to perform that task
  13. Probably doesn't help that a lot of the weapon control systems and radar suite are still classed Top Secret where more of the Strike Eagle is only Secret. If it's down to this, we'll most likely see the E model before an ASM C model. And I'm with you Darkfire, can't wait for an ASM Flanker and Fulcrum!
  14. Here's a second track of a fast mission created to test new T/O and landing angles. Hope seeing this helps out and keeps this great bird flying! MiG-29 Test2.trk
  15. OK, I think I got it figured out. It's not so much a bug as a change to landing procedure. Personally, I've kept the pitch at approximately 10 deg to maintain -1 descent rate till touchdown. Watching the track that I recorded, I saw the burner cans strike the runway, causing the plane to explode. I've adjusted my pitch angle to around 7 and got her down no issue. I have included the track of the safe landing. MiG-29 Test.trk
  16. Which air base were were you conducting your test landing at?
  17. I flew the instant action mission this morning to get a look at the new model, and landed perfectly fine at Sukhumi. May be down to descent rate or AoA, or possibly certain air bases?
  18. It'll only show on half your display when you're on the title screen and in menus. Once in the 'pit, it'll properly show on the entire display adjusted for 3D viewing
  19. -=333 VFG=- Recruitment open We are a new European Wing set up in the world of DCS. We came together as a group of like minded individuals that enjoy flying with one another. Whilst we partake of some procedural elements during training and in our missions, the ultimate aim is to have fun. We are currently looking to expand our ranks and to this end we are actively seeking new members. We would love to hear from those of you, that may have an interest. We fly a diverse range of modules and missions from FC3 to Helos...from Modern Era to World War II. We fly most nights be it missions or learning something new, and enjoy taking part in online events. Our weekly missions take place every Sunday night at 1745 BST which we often design ourselves. They are built to provide us with a semi realistic and in-depth flight...... but most of all to enjoy ourselves. We have our own Team Speak channel, Facebook group, Twitch and YouTube channels. Our group Promo video can be seen below and if you feel you would fit in with us and you meet our basic criteria below, then drop us a line here. Happy flying and we look forward to hearing from you shortly. 18 years old Minimum DCS World 1.5 Live and OpenBeta. Joystick/Hotas/TIR or similar/Mic. Simple Radio Standalone (for official missions) A fun disposition and enjoy banter, with a serious side for mission nights and online events. ${1}
  20. It does indeed show in 3D when using native stereo monitor. For those who are using the Trinus, disable the Fake3D setting in the Trinus options, it'll compress the image and will constantly scream at you about the resolution not being optimised. It is a decent intro option for VR with good potential once you dial in your settings to match your phone/headset (mine is Samsung s6/Google Cardboard). Only gripe I have is apparently my phone cant handle 1920x1080 smoothly, but I'm not getting the dizziness/nausea that others are complaining about when the image isn't a minimum of 70Hz Interesting workaround Aries, I was wondering how to properly set it us without having my curves nearly maxed out. How are you liking your Delan Clip?
  21. New update in Live did nothing on my end, the Eagle is still the only airframe that has SERIOUS issues. Tested instant action and MP, seems do be directly related to how many other aircraft are in theatre. On a dead server or in instant action, it's playable, not up to scratch with the other planes/helos. On a heavily populated server, ie. Blue Flag, the 104 or a TAW server during a peak time, unplayably slow, and my squad mates have reported my jet warping. It's not due to low bandwith, as my ping was in the 40s at the time. I have tried no mirrors, Civ Traffic off, clutter and trees all set to 0, nothing seems to help the Eagle
  22. I also would like to know any updates (if there are any). I was looking forward to starting Helios with this profile, but sadly it looks to be abandoned. Screenshots of it so far look amazing.
