wuuuahhh that planes are scary :-/
-
Well, why do you posted it then ?
-
No that's wrong. The planes all have different flightmodels. They only share the avionics suite with the F16. But it is easy just not to use radar on the A10 e.g. so...

Well Win7 x64 isnt known to be the most welcoming home for FF. I also didnt wanted to revert back to XP from win7. So what i did is i set up a dual boot system :) i suggest that, too

Thanks a lot ! I wonder what will happen to the UFC and MPCDs. Hope there will be shortcuts for them too

ok guys, now prepare to realize what unbelievable bullshit codemasters has done with this game :
-
Hm they are working on a new build, its not dead i assume.
-
Thanks for the mod guys, great work ! I found some bugs: - Harrier cannot drop any A/G Weapons although using the proper A10 pit. - Pylons / Weapons on Harrier seem to have wrong placement (see attached image). Maybe it simply cannot carry a 3xMav setup. - Tornados ALARMS or AGM-88s cannot be employed, thats probably a general limitation. Also i did not managed to drop GBU's

Guys, can't you upload it to a proper place like LockOnFiles ??

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
skeemo replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Would love to see a proper Naval Plane e.g. F/A 18 , F14, A6(!) I also would like a HiFi Tornado or Eurofighter! I am not so interested in Russian planes generally , dunno why. -
ok a little report after playing around for half an hour : - many aircraft seem not able to drop / release any weapon besides cannon. a quick check in the controls options revealed that there is no "release weapon" entry (RAlt + Space as default). this is for example for the F18C. - YAK40 selecting A2G mode (7) caused CTD. (selected it accidently) - some planes have a pit that does not serve their abilities. e.g. F16 has the F15 pit, so there is no possibility to release A/G weapons. SU33 Pit would fit better then (as long as there are no modded pits :) ) Anyway it is a great piece of work ! Thanks a lot ! And some little question cause i am not sure of that : Do the new planes use the FlightModel of the pit's plane or do they use their own (simplified?) FlightModel ?

man, could someone reupload it somewhere ??

Flaming Cliffs 2.0 : Lock On

Do not use the Game to assign your buttons.... You give away the shifting and mode Possibilities of the X52.. Thats like buying a Ferrari and only using the 1st gear... For example Mode 1 i use for Navigation and Ingress, on the main POV i have the Route and Descent Mode mapped to left and right. In Mode 2 - which i use for combat - the left and right of this POV is mapped to Gun on/off and HMS on/off because i need them more often in combat situations than the route mode. Anyway i can still access the Routeswitch in combat mode because i mapped it to Pinky+POV. Just spend a little time and dont give away the possibilities.....

Trim function not functioning as described
skeemo replied to DaveRindner's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
i have the saitek drivers / software not installed a.t.m. but as far as i think there is no "hold" mode at all. there IS a clutch mode or toggle mode where the button/key is held even when you release it until you press it again. but thats something different and not suitable for trimming. -
I did it like that : I read the manual and looked what functions are on the real Cyclic and Pitch. So i focused on recreating a near-reality mapping. After that you can think about additional often-used stuff, as the X52 have much more Buttons and 3 (shiftable!) modes.

Trim function not functioning as described
skeemo replied to DaveRindner's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
as far as i remember you dont have to do something special in the saitek profiler software for a "press and hold" mode. you just apply the "t" key to the given button - thats it. At least it is what i did with every command i ever mapped to a button. For example the Shkval Panning keys are mapped to one of my POV switches, but the panning would not work correctly if it must be explicit set to "hold". Anyway the pinkie has a special intended behaviour : It works as a "shift"-key per default. As you should see in your profiling software. There are 3 columns for the 3 modes PLUS 3 additional for every mode with pinky depressed. So i suggest you map the trim to another button - see if it works then and there you go. Anyway i think not using the pinky-switch of the X52 as a shift button that gives you 2 times overall button possibilities is a little bit weird... Plus calling something buggy that only does not work for you should be reconsidered ;) So concluded : The trim works exactly as described, for the old way and for the new way. I think it is you using the X52 pinkie switch which messed things up in some way. -
ah great i read the FAQ before and simply missed this sentence :) thanks a lot :)

Hi i did not found anything clearly here so i opened a new one... Here's whats going on. I had Vista installed. I DEactivated BlackShark I installed Win7 I REactivated BlackShark. Everythings fine, besides i missed to backup some files so some mods are messed up and i cannot revert back to stock textures a.s.o. Can i now install BlackShark OVER the actual installation to "reset" all files WITHOUT loosing any activations/deactivations ?

Hi, how does it come, that sometimes the GroundSpeed in the HUD vanishes in "NAV"-mode ? So i only have the Max.Airspeed-Bar. I cannot reproduce, what i've done before, but sometimes it comes back after a while...
