SUBMARINE HUNT MISSION MARIANAS MAP Hunt down a soviet submarine spawned randomly in an area. Use S-3 Viking with COMBINED ARMS module commands. Audio detection sounds + ( buoys in water + help from other ships popping flares to help locate ennemy) Try to score 100 points maximum Avoid losing ships from ennemy sub attack. Use as less torpedoes as possible to score max points. I was on 1.5 and I updated, and it asked if i wanted to be in 2.5, but i dont even remember if it said open beta anywhere :( I have launched DCS again, to see if it mentions beta somwhere... the only thing i know is the version : 2.5.0.15365

Hello every one ! I have purchased F18 module dcs 2.5 but it does not show in the simulator as an activatable module. SO I PAID MY HARD WON MONEY FOR NO PRODUCT ! I had the very same issue when i tried to activate Mirage 2000C ED support never helped me, and someone gave me this solution : in the CMD prompt type : DCS_world>bin>DCS_updater.exe install RAZBAM_M-2000C AND IT WORKED !! I would like to try the same method for F18 like DCS_world>bin>DCS_updater.exe install "TECHNICAL NAME OF THE MODULE" But i dont know this name, i tried just "F18" or "F/a18C" and a few other things but i need the exact name.. anyone knows ?

:music_whistling: Every one has the right to have his opinion respected..:thumbup: Mine is that I see absolutely no interrest in looking at my PC doing Nothing just waiting for a green light saying you can go, the INS is aligned...:cry: That would totally kill my interrest for this module.. I am NOT a real fighter pilot of the real world training to be integrated in a real world squadron... I am just a simmer who is doing it at home to enjoy flying this beast which otherwise I would not even approach. HAVING to align the INS to make it work makes perfect sense... on that, I totally agree :smartass: (It gives a real feeling that the system is simulated and is taking some time to work.) but HAVING to wait for ever does not make any.. Plus, I am an INTENSIVE mission maker on the editor.. So if I have to test my missions developement and wait 8 minutes every time I launch the sim, Then I will be VERY pissed that some people denied me the right to be "a little unrealistic" in MY home.:mad: This sim is made for all of us, not just a few people wanting EVERY ONE to wait 8 minutes just because it is realistic. And I don't see anything wrong in making it an option so that if you are so attached to this piece of realism, then you can force it on YOUR server... But don't force it in MY home.. As long as we HAVE the choice, I see no problem in guys waiting 8 minutes because they like it and other guys waiting less... IRL i am working in the real pilots formation business, our Professional simulators all have an option for "quick alignment" of the IRS, because sometimes you want to train on Something else than just wait.. In this simulator, you have options (example : the radio realistic/assisted) Personaly, I am happy that people who like realism CAN set this option ON But I am also happy that it can be turned OFF As long as we have the choice... :D (This really reminds me of the discussion about a pilot showing in the cockpit... it is a matter of choice... if you can choose, then every one is happy..) And it does not kill your experience of realism to have other people at home doing Something else than you do. It is all about having the Choice... :smilewink: But then again... this is just my opinion :music_whistling:

hi all :) This mission can be flown Single Player :captain: OR Multiplayer :beer: No ennemies, no stress, short flight :smilewink: You are loaded with bombs, Target field is north/north east very close (you cannot miss it with all the things i have put on the ground) It is Better if you have the Range Objects Mod (training targets) BUT NOT NEEDED BECAUSE THE TARGET IS THE SMOKE Green Smoke = Bomb M82 target (but you can use any armament) Blue Smoke = Strafing target (Practice your gun skills against ground) YOU WILL RECEIVE A MESSAGE BULLSEYE ! IF YOU DESTROYED THE TARGET (BOMBs ) (and GUN PASS SUCCESS for Strafe) :thumbup: The Targets will automatically respawn after being destroyed, so you can do that all day if you want. Thanks for posting Thank you very much for sharing :) :thumbup::thumbup: GOOD SCENARIO FOR AN ATTACK MISSION :pilotfly: I could not have the AI wingmen to Attack :(, so I took the liberty to modify slightly the mission (using MIST Scripting tool):book: 4 AI M2000c + 1 PLAYER M2000c so that you can also test your formation flying skills following them.:joystick: (I forced these to ignore ennemies and forbid a/a engagement to make sure they keep ordnance):doh: 4 M2000-5 as an escort against ennemies :gun_sniper: The Sa18 ManPads are now randomly positionned around the airfield each mission :juggle: The Mig29 have 90% chance appearance and they have missiles The SU27 have 75% chance appearance and they have missiles A few Eye Candies on attacked airfield (men and helicopters on the runway plus one helicopter taking off when you arrive at initial point) I included the marvelous suppression fire script so that if you strafe the AAA you can suppress it while your AI flight is attacking... (the suppressed AAA will stop attacking for a little while) :wacko: Thanks again for sharing :thumbup: (I always learn about the mission editor with missions designed by others) :book: Here the modified mission if anyone's interrested ; :smilewink: M-2000C Sneak Around The Back MIST.miz- 1 reply

I would suppose so, YES.. it looks like the command is Something like this : function default_axis :dunno: But I did not investigate/experiment that way, so I dont know how you would choose which axis... (I only have a T FLIGHT HOTAS X joystick, so I am pretty limited in AXISes I can afford...) :hmm: (the type of usable commands are at the beginning of the clikable.lua file...):book: I guess you would have to experiment that yourself.... :juggle:

Hello :) A LITTLE MOD TO USE MOUSEWHEEL ON SOME COCKPIT BUTTON THERE, WAITING FOR FUTURE UPDATES :) I was not very pleased at having to click hundreds of times on a button just to change the backlights of floodlights.:doh: ***** IF YOU WANT TO DO THIS, MAKE A BACKUP OF THE .lua FILE FIRST ! ****** HERE IS MY MODIFIED LUA (if you want to give it a try):music_whistling: : clickabledata.lua This is what I do : in this folder : \Mods\aircraft\M-2000C\Cockpit open this : clickabledata.lua Any command you want to change in a rotating mousewheel command ; you replace : multiposition_switch_limited --> by that : default_axis_limited It works, but be aware that if you go over the max value, (example : panel backlights) then the lights turn off, no problem, just turn the other way and you have them again.:music_whistling: Personnaly, I changed all the buttons for lights (panels/flood) and the Radar Altimeter height selection as well as the heading bug selector :D Thats all folks... :music_whistling: sorry if it was already reported, but I did not find it with search function :book: When You eject from an Aircraft (from the Inside view) then you are on your seat and then below your parachute (still first person view)...:photo: (Very good for immersion) With the Mirage2000C, when you eject (starting first person view in the cockpit) The view immediately transitions to external view of the Aircraft... :huh: (while you, the pilot, hangs behind unseen unless you press F1) (not a very big issue but it is damping the immersion) that was my two cents for Beta Testing...:D

:thumbup: I totally agree on seeing a pilot in the cockpit...:thumbup: I know lots of people dont like it, but there is a Shift P key to remove it...:smilewink: I am really fed up with being in a cockpit with a ghost holding the stick..:joystick: After all, nobody complains about the fact that when you eject, you can see your "virtual body" hanging around there, and not a "ghost" attached to the parachute..:music_whistling: For me, it is really improving the immersion.. :) And for someone who does not like it.... Shift P ;)

:notworthy: YOU WOULD DO THAT ??? WOW !:thumbup: I was not even expecting this to be "askable" or "feasible" :lookaround: Anyways it's definitely not on top of the list... (and I can already hear the purists yelling at me for non realism..) But if it works and I can launch my 4x530's (in single player)... then I wont even care about not having a 2000-5 since for me, it is just the extra missiles which are interresting. I dont even care about them not being MICA's... The rest is just there already... We can navigate, we can fight (and BY GOD what a fighter !):joystick: We have a decent radar (since I dont fly Multi Player I am not worried about IFF for now) We can blow stuffs on the ground..:gun_sniper: I do not regret any cent I paid for this module.. I LOVE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE RAZBAM !!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: PS : It's been said already, but I say it also : I am amazed that you are following your product with such dedication, posting replies and reading all those threads.. :music_whistling: I tweaked the .lua to be able to install 4 missiles 530 to make it look like the 2000-5 with fuel tanks and total 6 missiles 2 magics (wings) + 530 x 4(belly) + fuel tanks x 2 (wings) It worked ! and it was gorgeous !! :laugh: I was extatic :lol: well.... until I pressed the button 530 in the cockpit to use my "fake" 2000-5 :cry: ----> Crash To Desktop...:doh: What did I expect ?... IT IS A 2000C NOT A 2000-5 YOU DUMB ! :D OK !, OK!... I can live with that... it was the contract anyways... But GOD ! it looked gorgeous :smilewink:

:music_whistling: hello... Here are my two cents.. I was also very annoyed by the loudness of the AOA/CLOSURE RATE/GEAR NOT EXTENDED etc... WARNINGS... I am not an expert in tweaking, and the purists would probably want to burn me for heresy but this is what I have done : I edited the wave files in the >MOD>Aircraft>M2000C and adjusted the volumes as I wished... It works just fine to my convenience now :thumbup: (still have warnings, but much less annoying) I suppose I could have done simpler in tweaking the lua's, but I was laisy....

:smilewink: I have to second that ! I had the same issue... When I was still struggling to download the module AFTER I updated DCS I haddnt the mirage 2000C showing in the editor.. (Though I had the latest version of DCS) Now that I have the module, it shows in the editor.. I am not sure of the result if people having the module meet people not having the module in multiplayer ? well... it is beta.... that's what testing is all about....:smilewink:
