  1. The trees are too big in my opinion too. I think i know why it is like that, but I don't want to speculate at this point.
  2. After this update, all the issues are gone. It was a good move to put fixes into beta first and after testing, update the release version. No stutters, no long loadingtimes anymore. Thank you for your fantastic job, keep up the good work ED! :helpsmilie:
  3. Is it working now, or does it still crash a server, or just doesn't work as intended?

I know ED wants to sell their Spitfire, but really, they didn't have to break every other modules' gameplay to accomplish that :music_whistling: Seriously though, transporting troops by helicopters is broken for I don't know, a half a year maybe? And only because we have very talented community there was a workaround thanks to Ciribob's CTLD script, but now even that is broken....:mad:
  5. I've noticed the same thing. After release off a cargo, there is some loss of performance of the helicopter. My friend from my group has reported the same thing. The problem is more noticable when the cargo is heavier.

I voted yes, but I think as probably many of you, the priority is to finish the current projects and add more adversaries for incoming modules, like late version of MiG-23 for Mirage2000C, "clickable" MiG-29 for F-14 and F/A-18. Maybe even early version of Su-27 if it's possible. If nothing will be done, in two years, it's going to be "BLUFOR all the way!" situation on the servers.
  9. No, the only solution, that I've found is to place planes in groups of one. If I set a group of, for example, two mirages, join it, and somebody join my group too, then it's bugged.
  10. I'm curious about it too. Is the radar so sensitive in real life too? I'm loosing lock so often, even if I keep flying straight, or keep the target inside the hud. I was trying to develop some tactics to counter this, doppler effect etc., but it's so random and inconsistent, that I can't come to any conclusion about it.

    Jammer questions

    I would like to know how jammer works on the Mirage, and more importantly, how jammers work in DCS in general. That is why I've got some questions: 1. When I'm head on with an enemy fighter and he has me on my radar, should I turn it on, or better stay off? 2. When he fires a SAHR missile at me, should I turn it on, or better stay off? 3. If it's AHR missile(like AIM-120), is the answer going to be different than for 2? 4. If I am in a dogfight with an enemy fighter, should I turn it on, or better stay off? 5. How does it work if it's SAM? Again, I am not asking about how it works in real life, but how it works in DCS. Thank you for your answers.
  12. I only use one monitor. It's not like after pressing the button nothing shows up, I only see "V/UHF" word or something like that, but the list is empty (no F1,F2,F8 Ground Crew etc.).
  13. I'm having a problem with the communication menu after the last patch. Whenever I'm in Mirage and manually change frequency on my radio(not by changing channels) and then click the " \ " button, the list is empty. If I only change channels, everything is ok. My friends from my squadron reported the same problem on different modules as well. Easy comm off. Not sure if it's relevant, but we're using SimpleRadio Standalone.

  15. Is there any war in the SoH area now? No? Now you've got the answer why is it "yellow" there instead in mentioned Syria, or Libya.
  16. Thanks for proving of what I said. No. If they start making civilian air traffic, more urgent things will be delayed even further, like better damage model, visiblility of objects, AI, new units/objects, maps, or even modules. When they fix/add basic stuff, I don't see a problem then.
  17. Have you ever heard about No-fly zones? Nobody is flying over areas where everybody is shooting each other, for example Libya and Syria. It would be a nice feature, but I would like ED to put their resources into more needed things.

    Going back to the release of the beta and how it looks now, you guys put many working hours into this bird which I'm glad you did. You both guys are very communicative and open about your project which I very admire. From my perspective the problem isn't really about you, product being in beta, or anything like that, but in yours relations as a 3rd party developer with ED team and/or lacking of a good system of testing and applying new things into the patches and that is the only thing what Catseye and I have tried to point out. Too bad, that some of the forum users in this thread can't understand it.
  19. Let's welcome our new friend in the community, where "two more weeks" is not only an answer, but a philosophy and a way of life :). But being serious, maybe in 5 years. Until that moment, we need a solution for that now, even if the solution is 20 years old.
  20. I'm not asking for balance, but for a thinking, some kind of plan when deciding on creating a new module. You've mentioned some conflicts/training scenarios, but for example, for Mig-21, there should also be in plan creation of F-4 Phantom, which was his main adversary in Vietnam War. I'm asking for a posibility of creation a pvp mission with fighters from the same generation and both sides(East and West), that's all. I'm glad, that there is no balance in DCS, like buffing missiles just because some people complainted, that "they can't kill stuff and opposite team can."
  21. Have I missed something? I disagree. Look at the most popular servers in DCS: half of them are airquakes. The problem is, without consistent planes, we cannot create realistic scenarios for missions. For example: I want to create a pvp mission and in that mission I will fly Mirage with my buddies. Who is gonna be our oponent? Mig-21s? Mig-15s? Or I want to fly Mig-21 and it's the same thing: Sabre? Mirage? F-14? You see? There has to be at least one blue aircraft and one red aircraft from the same time to face each other, like Mig-15 vs F86 Sabre. Without that, pvp is basically on its knees and the only way to fly together is coop, but killing AI isn't that much fun after a while...
