  4. Ok we'll obviously maybe some lack of communication here. Reason I figured out it works and even tried it in game is because we have done it with somewhat similar in function systems in real life. Sorry if that goes against wiki links or anybody else's experience. But it is what it is. Now about that weather, 4 dynamic systems with a base of 22 on turbulence is pretty good.

  6. I'm same way if I use Nvidia 3D. Start d since the update to edge engine. I will eventually do a full system re install when I get a 1080. Until then I suggest doing a repair and deleting the dcs world folder in your saved games before the repair. Make sure to save any input setting you had made though.
  7. Ya bro in basically running it maxed out at 4K and am locked at 60 except for processor moments. That's with single 980 I need sli in 2.0 to achieve the same

  9. Well the impression is that walk around will be coming on the carrier. Will see I guess either way by then hopefully gen 2 will be out. Either way don't care what brand just want clear communication from the dcs world developer side of what features will come and if it will be universal features or biased features. Also the Vive does the pixel density stuff to just via the steam vr software so can't say rift is better In that regards.
  10. Yes it would be very helpful if Ed made it clear that the vr stuff will be universal or biased towards the rift or vive. I returned the cv1 not even using it as Ed has stated future vr stuff like walking around the aircraft hanger and such. Holding out as the Vive will be much better if room scale is added.
  11. Looks more realistic to me trying to turn in a small pit with a parachute harness on isn't very easy. That's what is great abou vr it's a real eye opener For some.
  12. Hotas warthog and saitek combat pro rudder pedals use no curves same with all airframes. Practice but yes I think depends on gear.

  14. Not at all highly disagree, adjust the contrast brightness of tgt display and gain of your nvg's and you tv screen is then a nvg's sight works awesome. Plus you use manual override to launch your vikhrs anyway. I highly recommend the nvg's mod in the mod forums. Ka50 is a beast at night
  15. Ok bare with me typing on phone is tidious. Start mission with trac ir paused Once it starts it zooms out I then hit Num enter to get the actual set fov So that position is kissing the front console so I try to get the virtual head moved back. So using the shift control and / and * keys of numpad I move virtual head back. That accomplished great but the actual hud is now oversized and not fully readable nor usable. So I re center and do same thing but instead use the two mentioned keys above without shift and control which is the zoom keys. I get head to a proper position on the 55 inch 4K but now the fov is so high that it's uber fish eye vision. I'm not the biggest techy guy but I'm wondering if certain fixes need to be made for larger screens. This has always been a problem since I've had the a10c beta.
  16. Dude enough with the Amd fanboyism's. Those features you mention above have no relevance to what is being talked about. You constantly try to attack and make nvidia's tech the evil doers. The actual issue is the engine is still be developed and maybe just maybe it should of been put off longer and incorporated dx12. Can't say for sure now can we until the Edge engine is complete. Also I doubt your at the round table at ED that decides what tech they will incorporate into their engine or not. Again enough with all the opinionated expert advice on this forum and SimHq. Got it you lov Amd and hate Nvidia cool bro Sorry for sounding like a duche master but we all me included need to stop the whole divisive crap because one has Amd and one has Nvidia. Trust me I fully hate that these companies force proprietary tech that only works with their products I think it utterly stupid. Same token using said tech can be very beneficial in certain regards.
  17. Jacks, my setup is a 980 also but I do 4K and currently don't do sli until it's officially fixed. The trees are a cpu hog then the shadows a gpu. You stated exactly what it is no shadows no fps problems shadows then problems. Optimization needs to be done on shadows, also the whole one core thing and a baggilian objects tanks the fps at times to. Best you can do is drop view distance I just run it at high with starways dlc textures in 1.5 and have solid 60 until the cpu and objects stuff kick in and drop the fps.
  18. Via all the num keys and every other method within dcs while having trac ir paused. Talking in 2d right now. Problem is bringing the head back disrupts the size and placement of the hud. So do a zoom out to get the fov you want but it turns to fish eye and things are not drawn in correct shapes but the hid font maintained its original size though. The best I've ever got it on a 55 inch 4K was with the head and neck mod but still run into font and odd fish eye problems when fov is to big.

  20. Fellas the best is ka50 and now teamed up with a Gazzelle for its rwr if you don't know location of Sam system. Ka50 is great kill tgts out to 9.8 kilometers. Plus it's fun as heck playing Sniper in Dcs world
  21. Exactly this is a problem and needs to be fixed I spend more time trying to get a good position in the a10cthen I do flying it. Matter of fact due to this incorrect head position and the stupid hud resizing it's self when you move back to a proper one I've completely quit the A10c. Having a good position only to have such a messed up fov you have fish eye syndrome that all objects are shaped incorrectly is retarded. Please finally acknowledge this and fix it it's actually same problem in vr too.

  24. Well unfortunately in 2d and normal 3D non Vr the head position and scale is utter rubish in the hog. Vr is better but I still feel the pits are scaled to small to our relative human size.
