  1. Ya your probably right when I did Nvidia 3D vision on my old tv scale was pretty good but in vr it did always kind of feel to small and stretched out at the same time.
  2. Ok whatever my take on it is Ed is trying to give us poor trac ir folks a better physical head movement and more realistic head placement in the pit. Is it perfect not at first but make a few adjustments and in my opinion it is for me. I think it greatly enhances the experience in my opinion.
  3. You can also make the adjustments with the numpad keys like before aka tilt up or down with trac ir live and all set. It's like a big witch hunt in here seriously this is a way better method try it and actually figure it out and make some adjustments to you gain levels in trac ir program I did and this is rocking!
  4. Ed trac ir is now perfect after this patch. We actually have a head and please keep this. All it takes is a few adjustments for eye point and it's spot on perfect. Adding options for new and the bad old implementation would probably be a good idea. I think those of us who have used VR in Dcs can see how much better this method is with trac ir. Maybe it just works great for me since I have a 55 inch 4K screen. Either way I think it rocks and it's great having a head in the pit finally with trac ir!
  5. I find the new trac ir settings way better than the old ones. We now have a true physicality of our head in the pit. Flying is much more dynamic feeling now. Really feels like vr movement in a sense for trac ir. I think if people take some time and shift down your eye point you will find this works very well and much better than the old ways. Please keep this new method and if anything make an option in menu for old ways.
  6. Fellas it seems the sim shaker software is not passing the new integrity checks, anything we can do? It specifically conflicts with the kneeboarding lua in scripts folder in main install location.
  7. The problem is the stock head position is to far back. Need to move your virtual head position forward many threads in here on how to do it.
  8. Fact and I hate to say so but we need a real big jump in clarity maybe software side things will be done months down the road. Be a wait and see for sure
  9. Lol spoiled by 4K buddy. Vr is no where near that clarity that's for sure. Make sure you have textures to high and also anisotropic filtering to at least x4. If you have Nvidia make sure in control panel you have texture filtering to high.
  10. Here's my advice I would contact user Mustang he is the yoda lua master. He made a couple edits back when the Dk2 was the new hotness and made my flying with it very good. Sounds like exactly what you guys need! Edit from what I remember he drastically reduced certain buildings at distance and shadows and the frame rate jump was amazing.   11. Well all three versions of dcs it runs awesome in 4K big step up from the 980 in all 3 locked out at 60 until the engine limits with processor kicks in
  12. Wow just got my Gainward gtx 1080 GLH edition installed. It completely owns dcs 2.0 in Nevada. Vegas is uber smooth now!! In 4K don't have a vr yet huge improvement over the 980!
  13. I use ProxFlow on chrome browser and it unblocks those videos for me here in Germany. It's an extension app for chrome
  14. Not always the case it double my frame rate in 2.0 just have a stutter problem over Vegas. Back to vr evidently with steam vr aka the Vive if you force Alternate frame rendering 2 in the sli portion of Nvidia control panel have seen reports of almost double the frames in VR. People will have to try it as I don't have vr yet. Or if anybody in Germany want to bring their Vive over I could test it :)
  15. That is only 1080p of course you will have good frames. If you game only at 1080 p no need to upgrade.
  16. Fact I have faith by end of the year we will have much better performance when everything is much more put together on all fronts
  17. Wow the drama. Do realize with the 1080 you can run a much higher pixel density and not be hit fps wise right..... Check all the other. Things besides dcs world and you will see. Problem is dcs world not our machines with top gear. Give it time to get sorted no hardware is a magic bullet for dcs world performance woes
  18. Ya I'm on US side and well won't get into it as I'll just want to flip a desk. We are our own worst enemy and we can't talk about it here but Politics and stupidity and PC culture within our ranks destroyed any objective we had on the matter.

  20. Well I would think if you can't walk around and sitdown in your own pit with eyes closed then that's a bigger problem you may have coordination disabilities. Either way the forward looking camera helps with that correct Vive users?
  21. That should only work for your 2d screen. The Vr stuff is basically separated from resolution settings like that so the tweak for it is in game or via a configure tweak in steam vr from my understanding anyway.
  22. Wow wonder if everybody else using the Vive has same problem hope others with it comment. What Gpu and processor do you have?

  24. Ya I hate to say it but I've recently done the same thing. Removed 1 980 and am pleasantly surprised how things are running at 4K. Will add though today I will be picking up a Gainward Phoenix GLH 1080. Sli is great when it works but currently it's just become to much of a hassle for me and the busy work schedule.
  25. Yes it's a real big kick to the nuts that's for sure. At this point I give up and will try again after deployment.
