  1. hey all. any ideas how to get the AI to strike other targets in a group of ground targets? had airstrikes target a group of three on one mission. their waypoints had all three targets in them, but they kept dropping bombs on the same target, even after he was dead. so on the next mission i assigned two strike groups, one against the one remaining target and one against the other. both groups dropped their bombs on the spot of the dead target that was destroyed the previous mission. any ideas? thanks!
  2. nonsense. i just got the glorious Mig-19 and it's a hoot to fly and fight with. Maybe the Mig-15 is a bit tough but fighting F-4s and F-5s is very fun in it.
  3. Hi all. Having an issue with the frequency in the Mig19. It's set to 251, but it says it's invalid when I try and load the mission. It's not a huge deal as i can manually change it in the editor, but it always does it. Just thought i'd let you know. EDIT: the error is because the Mig19's radio only goes up to 150MHz. on another note, is there a way to change the radio frequency of the AWAC in a mission? it's 225 or something but I can't tune that with the Mig19. Thanks!
  4. i like DCE when i am very comfortable with an aircraft. it does a great job of making missions that fit the campaign, but you gotta know what you're doing. Liberation you can tailor to your skill. It's perfect to learn a new module. Just got the new A10C II and kinda just learning? Perfect, load up a Liberation campaign against just insurgents. You don't have to worry about enemy aircraft or SAMs, but there will be lots of targets for you to practice on.
  5. Yes. They can be bound just like any other switch/button in the cockput.
  6. i think it's a bug. if you use the laser the bomb release comes way late and you won't hit anything. i believe the jdam function works if you don't use the laser. also, some people say it works if you don't activate the laser until after the bomb has been released.

  8. i just hotkey'd the two buttons to turn the TPOD to standby and back to air to ground. two quick button presses and the TPOD is boresighted.
  9. a cool idea for the future would be more anti-shipping targets. maybe some tankers (similar to oil derricks, rigs in that they bring in money), more warships, etc. also make them further out to see. right now most ships are right off the coast and some even spawn on land. great job! :)
  10. i was a stable user as well, but just had to try out the A10C II. week later i have been flying the Tank Killer every night and not a single crash yet. So might be worth your while to switch to OB. :)
  11. Liberation you pick your theater and then you have to 'buy' your units. Not just aircraft but frontline units as well. The AI will do the same and the front line will move back and forth between each 'airbase'. Airbase's are what you have to capture. You create flight packages for your aircraft (strike, CAP, CAS, SEAD, etc) or the AI will do it for you. Then you pick the mission you want to be part of and then fly the mission. After the mission the campaign engine compares everything and then moves the front line forward or backwards depending on what side did better. The frontline is moving, so you will see enemy tanks rolling forwards and vice versa. The enemy will also have strike targets for you to hit like ammo dumps, fuel depots, factories, etc. Destroying these will degrade their ability to replace their lost units. It's actually pretty simple. I only fly the A10C II lately so i just jump in that and set CAP flights to watch my ass while i do strike missions or provide CAS for the front line.

  13. Hi all. Does anyone know what the OSB keys are for A/G and STBY for the targeting pod in the A10C II when on the right MFD? Seems that's the best way to 'reset' the pod (unless there is a better way) is to cycle the pod to standby and back to A/G so wanted to assign the keys to my HOTAS. Thanks!

  15. also have this issue with the instrument lights. not really an issue as at night you can still see them, but they don't go very bright.
  16. i get similar issues sometimes. usually after turning it on and off often, which happens when i use the rockets.

  18. Liberation is the closest thing we have to BMS style campaign. It's all I use. Very good work.
  19. anyone else having the issue where destroyed units are not being actively shown in the list after the battle? my last mission there was 27 enemy units destroyed, but in the sidebar after the mission is just says 1 AAA gun was destroyed from group MINKS or something. No record of any other vehicles being taken out. thanks!

  22. it's in the pdf. they go in the same folder but the sub folders are different.
  23. when it comes to campaigns i usually just do them as missions instead of in the campaign engine.
