  1. I'd agree...the Viper (Fighting Falcon) would be nice since it ran against the Hornet in the YF-16/YF-17 flyoff for the Air Force and Navy. :pilotfly:
  2. NKAWTG = Nobody Kicks Ass Without Tanker Gas! Here's a view from the boom pod.
  3. Love it...my local FSDO office is my wife!
  4. Did you also notice that on the divided 4-lane highways for interstate traffic has two lanes separated by a median, however the traffic on these lanes act like two independent roads with single lane traffic passing each other in opposite direction instead of two lanes parallel going one direction and two in the other.
  5. I wonder if there is a way to code in a player spot in the tower so we can run ATC manually sometimes?
  6. How do we switch between magnetic and true mode in game/editor? FC3 F-15C Could it be variable by aircraft mod? Humm...very interesting.
  7. I see, this could be due to multiple parallel runways and a diverse numbering system to help pilots identify their assigned runways. At KLAS, having the F-15C compass ribbon in the HUD (and the Whiskey Compass too) show 090 when aligned on centerline for 07L would be ironic if they hadn't accidentally programmed the software for "True" instead of magnetic. Again, this is just my theory.
  8. Hi all, let me say first, outstanding! I love this sim, this map, this creation of excellence...Thanks! Could someone please check and see if the Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) system is not accidentally slaved for activation with the dusk to dawn runway/taxiway lighting system? The PAPI lights should be working 24/7, all day long. I was flying on a custom mission last night and we flew into dusk and sunset, and the lights all came on at the right time and were really nice. They need some improvements, but really nice for now. And I was training some student pilots on proper 3 degree glide path approaches and the PAPI worked perfectly. However, today, I fired up the mission and configured for touch and go currency landings during the daytime and the PAPI lights on the same mission map were not working in the daytime. I couldn't find anything in the editor for turning them off or on, so I suspect that they were improperly cycled with the night time lighting system. As an additional consideration, the ALS or Approach Lighting System should be serviceable during daylight hours when visual conditions are less that CAVU... Users, test this and chime in on this topic if you can please! Thanks, AV8R
  9. Can we assume that it is being worked, or not? And do you think we should consider these bullet points? Proper ATC protocols for Ground, Tower, Approach Control, Center, and Clearance Delivery with realistic radio affects and voices with full variance in character models beyond the previous practice of only using a few actors' voices. Traffic Advisories within the airspace to include restrictions, proximity alerts, and vectors around civilian and military traffic. Designation of taxiway/runway assignments, updates, and hold-short instructions. (The current system instructs landing clearances to Runways 21/03 without proper regard to Left or Right designations) Conversion from QFE standard to Altimeter settings and integration of ATIS information with Alpha designations such as "Nellis Information Sierra Current, 1915 Zulu as an example" with all normal ATIS information provided. 10. Much Agreed! Thanks for pointing this out...much agree with you sir!
  11. This is what I would love to see... 12. Is it possible to correct the compass data in DCS 2.0, Nevada? I noticed today while landing at KLAS (Mc Carran International Airport) that the runways are not aligned with magnetic headings as designed in the real world. The runways are in fact incorrectly aligned to "True" heading. All runways are designed to be numbered within 5 degrees of the "Magnetic" heading, i.e., Runway 09 could be from magnetic heading 086 to 095... Let me explain using runway 07L as an example. Runway 07L at KLAS is aligned to 075 magnetic with a true heading of 090 (True is in relation to globe relative to True North). When I fly my aircraft down the centerline of 07L, my compass should be reading 075. When I approached to landing today, my compass was indicating 090, so I think the data for compass information was coded incorrectly for the map as True heading instead of magnetic heading. You can find the magnetic headings for each numbered runway at most airfields at www.airnav.com and if you need a reference for the numbering of runways, just Google it, you'll find many that explain the magnetic reference. 14. Thanks to WagMatt for vectoring me to the right place, so I'm posting an idea about creating a module pack of recently added aircraft, but modeled simplified like the Flaming Cliffs 3 collection of aircraft. Offering a simplified the M2000, L-39C, C-101, Hawk T.1A, MIG-21, F-86F, MIG-15 might make a good Module for like $39.99-$49.99. This could be segregated into creative marketing packs like "Vintage Jet Fighters" or "The Fighters of WWII" for example. Just having the simple versions available, it would be easy to market them as singles for $9.99 or grouped for sale bundles at various times. Additionally, A WW-2 Fighters Pack of simplified versions of the BF109-K4, P-51D, FW-190D-9, and any future models could make an excellent module for about the same price range. Finally, if possible, could you please consider releasing a Helicopter pack with simplified versions of the MI-8, UH-1H, and KA-50 with any future helicopter Mods as a Module...it too could be grouped for the same price range as stated in Paragraph 1. This is just my idea, I understand you guys have the big picture and all, but as a customer, I was thinking this would be something I'd purchase.
