What do you mean by the screenshot? I’m not changing the mission timing to something that’s not accurate. If it’s hard it’s not because of my choices or “business decisions”. That has mever been a factor. It was hard in real life - much harder actually. Check this out: the reason I build historical campaigns is so that I can learn from them. If a missions proves to be hard, I enjoy getting humbled and it just grows my appreciation and respect towards those who have done it for real. not all players think this way. Just because you paid for a history book, you don’t get to decide who won at Waterloo. -

Hey thanks for the feedback and the kind words. The load mission function sometimes doesn’t work for some people, it’s one of the mysteries of dcs. as for the rudder reversal, I have yet to perform one myself I just quoted the guys who did it, I’m not even sure it’s possible in dcs, it’s so far at the edge of the envelope. But maybe I’m just doing it wrong. Probably so.- 1 reply

Hey thanks for the heads up. The thing is: the 2 Normandy maps are compatible - so if a campaign is compatible with one, it should be mostly compatible with the other - except it will look worse with 1.0, and some units may be placed on trees and hedges. But the airfields and their functionality is the same. Wait, I just checked, and it says Normandy OR Normandy 2.0

Keep in mind that once you lag behind, even full power only generates a few knots of closure, which takes longer to catch up than you'd expect. It's a peculiarity of warbirds. Once you're in formation, then you can really see how much power the AI uses. Full power was only needed until this was implemented by ED:

Since the AI power improvement you almost never need to use 52" and 2700 RPM to keep up. Yes they slow down very quickly but every DCS AI has done so since I first played DCS in 2015. You can learn to anticipate it and add a little sideslip.

Idea/Request for Campaign: WW2 BFM/ACM Training

I thought about that. Like a basic training campaign. The problem is that I can't make the module optional and selectable, they're all so different. Otherwise I'd have to keep it at such high level that there would be little added value from buying the campaign. Having multiple required modules is a no go as well. Especially combat/ tactical trainings are really hard to do within DCS because the AI is hard coded to perform these in a given way. -

You gotta reach out to Heatblur guys, I can’t make the hobos droppable or not droppable from within the editor. I put them on the jet and that’s all.

AH! Those used to have RN skins, but some new skins were added recently and for some reason they defaulted back to the US one. Talk about a PITA...I'm going to fix these and send to Mag 3.

You need to land accurately on the pad then there’s no problem. If you still notice something weird please send a track to ED because I can’t control the collision model of core statics from the mission editor. what do you mean you can’t contact the team? Fly sithin 2-3 miles of the mark on the f10 map and you’ll be offered an option to call them. But you have to be on the correct frequency. Check out some playthrough videos to see how it works.

Tora tora is a leftover mission, it should and will be deleted. It’s the same as “Ten Go”. Play that one Tiny tims were changed during development so the loadout disappeared and I didn’t notice. I already sent a fix to Mag3 auto start has nothing to do with the mission.

The AI needs to follow the altimeter setting too. If they don't, then that's a problem in ED's code

It's not up to me, it's hard coded into the AI. I just set 20k for altitude, and that's it.

I just checked, it all works, the A2A TACAN is shown by default - unless of course you take control from Jester.
