  1. It’s a new Heatblur bug. Until they fix it you can jump back and do it yourself.
  2. You can open the files separately, just navigate to DCS/ mods/campaigns/ mig killers I thought ED already fixed the label bug though. It's best if you send them a reminder
  3. In order to be prepared and successfully complete the missions I highly recommend reading the campaign intro pdf as well as the briefings under mods/campaigns/Red flag/Doc Also, please check out my videos that will help you understand and handle the different cool features of the campaign.
  4. During the Vietnam War the United States Air Force discovered that their pilots’ survival rates improved significantly once they completed their first ten combat missions. In 1975 Tactical Air Command created a highly realistic training exercise to provide the aircrews those first 10 missions in peace time. They called it: Red Flag. This mock battle in the skies over the Nevada Test and Training Range has produced aviators that can not only survive the dangers of modern air combat, but dominate the skies. In the next 2 weeks you’re gonna find out just how real it can get. Join the 336th TFS on their detachment to Red Flag 81-2 at Nellis Air Force Base. Through 13 meticulously researched missions you’ll learn what it was like to fly an F-4E Phantom in this ultimate war game. Key Features: 13 true to life missions Randomized scenarios for replayability Study level simulation of real life procedures Thousands of custom voice overs Dozens of historically accurate custom skins Detailed briefings with chalkboard diagrams Extensive documentation Authentic kneeboard and briefing images Custom DCS UI backgrounds and music Required modules: DCS: F-4E DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range Video by ‪DopaMinus‬ Music by Meteor
  5. Or jsut use the salute command, not the radio menu item

  7. Hi, Thanks a lot for the feedback. It's a fair point, and in Red Flag it will be very precisely planned, with speeds and timings, to the second, like you said. Some people will find it even too 'restrictive' so to speak. However, Top Gun in 1969 was different. You flew out to the range (not a very long distance), did stuff and when you were low on fuel you came back. There are no speeds and timings you had to hit precisely, it's all up to you. There is a bingo on your kneeboard, that's all you need to know - also, your instructor will tell you about cruising speeds in combat as soon as you enter the range. As for the exercise, at the end of the day, it's a bunch of complex scripts, not a real life instructor in your backseat, so I cannot make the tasks infinitely flexible, depending on how much fuel you burned, if you know what I mean. Also, the backseat doesn't have a fuel gauge, only you can monitor it. As long as you don't use burner unless you have to, and always try and stay close to Quartzite without wandering off too far, you'll have plenty of fuel to complete the exercise and RTB. I never ran out of fuel during testing, and I had to play the mission 50+ times. All the upcoming missions will be split into parts for training purposes, one of the downsides (upsides?) is that you won't have to worry about fuel management anymore. What I can do for the FAM flight is to make sure the mission progresses if you hit CESAR before the exercise is complete, in case you're low on fuel and decide to RTB
  8. It's a core DCS AI bug, you know, they can't stop orbiting. But it will be fixed in the next update.
  9. I haven't had this during testing but the deck crew is known to glitch sometimes. Better send a track to ED so they can have a look.
  10. Yes I've heard, that's great news. I'll add them as soon as they're released.
  11. Let me give you some examples of how I managed to script Jester to be a fully functional WSO in the Red Flag 81-2 campaign.
  12. Alright, I changed 'move on' to 'rtb' in all missions
  13. Ok, I’ll check!
  14. I don't think I'll use them as I don't want to create another paywall for little added value in the ETO. Je voudrais completer la campagne et l'envoyer a ED a la fin de Mai, peut-etre Juin. Puis ils devront tester aussi.
  15. That's a nice 47! BTW you can go for stored heading alignment because the mission is split into stages of separate mission files. INS degradation won't be a factor. Then you don't have to wait 15 minutes on the ramp. I'll also add a safeguard to prevent the helo from moving, just in case.
  16. Those helo pilots are sierra hotel, aren't they? This is actually a mission bug, I'm gonna fix it ASAP. Well, it wasn't an issue but ED probably changed the static vicinity/placement and now it ends up up there. I'll have to move it a bit. LEt me know if you find more of these.
  17. Do you have any mods installed? Removed them, and in any case, run a slow repair. I just tested the mission, the helo landed and stayed well away from the taxiway.
  18. Thanks, but I don’t know enough about the 190 to make a proper tutorial
  19. Let me officially announce my upcoming DCS P-47 Thunderbolt campaign: Wolfpack II: Overlord - a sequel to the original Wolfpack campaign.
  20. It's been a HB bug for years and years. Please give them a nudge, I already have.
  21. If you see this please send the log file to ED, I have no impact on whether the Load mission trigger works or not Anyhow try emptying your fxo and metashaders folders and run a slow repair, because it never happened to me during testing, so maybe it's some sort of corruption.
  22. Sorry, the A-10 is the plane I know absolutely nothing about, it's even further from me than the Hornet...
  23. To be fair it would be next to impossible to rework the foundations of existing campaigns to accommodate for a new feature.
  24. Hey, thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing your feedback. I'm more of an analog guy, the F-16 is the furthest forward in history that I ever dared to venture. Maybe one day I'll do another, but now I'm back to WW2 and the cold war You're right about the DRYAD, and I thought about where I could use it, but it's the first stage of the war where CAS kind of situations happened, in the latter part it's mostly pre planned strikes with large packages, so no need to ID yourself. About Kanget, did you read the briefings? I thought I mentioned him a few times there, and he also comes up in missions 9 and 10. Anyhow, enjoy the Hornet version, and thanks again!
  25. In complex missions the game needs to load more than in more simple ones. But it shouldn't crash. Please send the crashlog to ED to see what's causing it. Also, try loading a simple mission on the Kola map, and THEN try to load an Arctic Thunder mission.
