Hi, I just got DCS World 2 and bought Nevada. I started flying the Red Flag Campaign and in the 3rd mission I get startup OK from ATC. Once I get the plane running, I call for permission to taxi and nothing. I called about 12 times and nothing. So, I just start for the runway and run into a line of fighters just sitting in front of me. What gives?

So, when you go to fly, how do you choose which method you are going to fly in?

In the options settings for DCS under the gameplay tab there are settings available for "simulation" and another for "game". I can't figure out which is which. I assume Multiplayer is under game, campaigns game, training simulator? Can someone tell me?

I'm not sure what's going on, I'm flying the A10-C with TM HOTAS, everything works in training missions and in multiplayer. When I try to fly in my campaigns and instant action, I get no control and crash. In F2 I see my MFCD's on the screen, my HUD indications are red, I get "GCAS Break X" messages on my MFCD"s and my wing man's plane has a green triangle symbol on it. HELP!

Hi Rick, I have made a lot of progress in the 4 months I've been "flying" Although I've never flown a real plane, I have 30 years of navigating and running boats so, I'm not totally lost. I have been watching those YouTube tutorials and they have big help as have the members of this forum. I'm happy to be part of this little community. Thanks

I found the manual thanks, I was hoping to be able to get a hard copy. My old eyes get tired of looking at computer screens all day. I'll just have to buy some ink cartridges and print it out.

So glad I could provide you all with a chuckle. I've been stumbling around blind for the past four months not knowing how to manage this game. ED should link newbies to their manuals when they sign up. It would be nice to have a hard copy of the manual, but apparently there aren't any. At almost 300 pages, ED must own stock in ink cartridge manufacturing

OK, apparently it was something I did in the game settings which leads me to my next question; is there an owners manual for the game? I don't know what all the settings do and don't know where to find out other than through trial and error.

This is really strange, suddenly my TM stick is not working in multi-player or in campaigns, however it works fine in training missions. Anyone know what might cause that?

Does the weight of the bomb make a difference? If so, what? I would think that the GBU 12 could be dropped from a lower altitude than the GBU 10 ?
