Das Erstes Video der BLACK ANGELS zum Training vom 30. Juni in deutscher Sprache ist da. :thumbup: Dieser 1. Teil zeigt den Ablauf während des Trainings im Formationsflug und beleuchtet insbesondere eines unserer neuesten Mitglieder. Aardvark ist seit 17.05.2020 dabei. Er kennt DCS seit Ende letzten Jahres. Die UH-1 als Heli hat er sich zum Jahreswechsel angeschaft, fliegt aber erst seit kurzem damit. :pilotfly: Wenn auch Ihr Lust bekommen solltet mit in der Gruppe zu trainieren und Missionen zu fliegen, dann meldet euch. Tutorial No. 7 is out there What is the difference between a normal takeoff / normal landing and his combat counterparts? The answer is for sure pretty simple and maybe supprising for you. :smilewink: By the way. I am not a military pilot and never flown even combat like missions. But it is not that difficult to see the differences. Is this the right time to talk about Combat takeoff and landing during flight training. Maybe not in the first few. But there is another, more vital aspect that needs to point at any time. Fling a helicopter is not only moving an aircraft from one place to another, which is only a matter of training. More critical is that fling a helicopter is, much more than an airplane, a constant decision-making process. Next will be Hover and specific training.

Not at the moment. We need to wait for the next Beta update. If the problem is not fixed we may think about the possibility to activate the trigger over the radio menu. But if possible we like to avoid such a ("Murks" in German) not really elegant solution. They fixed already more than 250 bugs since the last update, so let's hope one of them brings Mission 4 back on track. :thumbup:

As far as I know, there is nothing disabled. We still improve the missions and add labels on the map at the time they been needed. But until now only a few missions are improved. At the moment we struggle with lots of issues concerning DCS 2.56 and hope ED can fix that soon so we may continue our work. I do understand and agree that a "safe" function may be a big improvement. When it comes to the number of tasks and the total length of the missions, that's a personal opinion. We try to keep that in mind for upcoming missions, but I can tell right now it doesn't work with our understanding of a campaign. What you ask for is a collection of short missions. Get there, do it, and fly back. That's exactly not what we wont to do, because it is so far from real life, as the moon from the earth. Anyway, I am glad to see you coming back from time to time and giving the campaign a new chance. Many thanks for your feedback and please keep going :pilotfly:

I don't want to accuse anyone of malice, and Helicopter physics and flight dynamics are a broad and very complex field. Even pilots often have only a vague idea of it.:music_whistling: Also, creating YouTube tutorials is not easy, but just because it looks good and sounds good doesn't mean that there is any science between the fiction. Especially in tutorials about helicopters, you will find a lot of fantasy and few facts. So be careful and don't believe everything that is presented nicely packaged. If in doubt read a technical book. Its content is usually checked before it is printed. :book: On YouTube, you can upload any nonsense just as easily. :pilotfly: Especially if an airplane pilot tells you something about helicopters it is at least suspicious and questionable. Some examples A helicopter hovers because it pushes air downwards - Fiction There is always some kind of vortex ring state - TRUE If you descend with more than 1000 feet per minute then you get in VRS and in a dangerous situation? Sometimes under special circumstances, yes but most of the time NO. Translational Lift is the change from pushing air downward to aerodynamic flight like an airplane? NO, not at all. And so on... Often the right action is only explained wrong. :smilewink:So if you do what is said it can lead to success. But you should never tell anybody why you have done this, you could embarrass yourself to the bone. :cry:

:cry: ACTUAL ISSUES WITH 2.56 !! Jun 2020 As far as we know right now. Ther is a major problem with all missions older than 5 to 10 weeks. (The last major beta update) There are countless issues with unit pathfinding and triggers. All-new missions build with the actual DCS Beta version dos not have this problem or at least much less of them. We are in direct contact and ED is working hard on solving that problem. Unfortunately, we are pretty alone when it comes to extensive use of "moving ground units" and triggers in our mission. Most other mission builders use static targets so airplanes and jets may find them in the first place and much fewer triggers. We hope the issue anyway has a high priority. Not the best way to solve the problem, but one that works rid away is to use the stable in the version BEVORE the last update. There is no issue with the missions at all. -

Mit TOBSON hat uns leider ein Mitglied verlassen das maßgeblich für den Kurs und das familjähre der UGLY ANGELS mitverantwortlich gewesen ist. :bye_3: Keiner bei uns der diesen Schritt nicht bedauert. In jedem Falle wünschen wir Ihm jedoch, dass er eine Gruppe findet in der er sich rundum wohl fühlt und können allen nur empfehlen ihn aufzunehmen. Wir werden seinen Platz aber auch bis auf weiteres frei halten und nicht weiter besetzen. Es wird nicht einfach sein, nochmal einen solchen Haufen wie die Ugly's zu finden :lol::pilotfly: Und wie selbst James Bond sagt: "never say never".

Unfortunately with any solved core issue, some new ones show up. Won't say this is one of them because I have to check first. :smilewink: The time is running after takeoff. So you may have sufficient time to start up. No hover check or öther moving around. On possibility maybe a broken ME Trigger (Unit in the zone) because other missions have similar problems. We check that out and provide a solution as fast as possible. :thumbup: Thanks for your comments :thumbup::thumbup:

There is a similar report from another mission (4). Seems something wrong with the Trigger in the ME. I check that out and if I confirm the problem I report it to ED. They will fix any issue in a short period of time. But I will post a possible conformation tomorrow 16. :thumbup:

Mission 8 Russian frigate is missing

the frigate starts sinking at mission start. ED fix this problem with the next beta update. -

There are still problems with the AI and not all of them will appear for transport. :cry: So if you transport ALPHA to the Building on the mountain and them disembarked. Wait for 40 Seconds and you may refer to the Radio menu F-10 activating BRAVO. :thumbup:

:megalol: thanks for appreciating it. There will be another HUEY Campaign next year. :smilewink: But I have to say, right now we work hand in hand with ED to identify and fix the problems. Today we are more than 5 hours at the Ai wayfinding issue. And we can say it works fine in any new mission build after the update, and the problem is "only" related to already existing missions. But now while we know that for sure and can prove that to the development team, I am sure the problem will be fixed very soon. :thumbup:

ED Will update on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the F-10 Radio solution will be needed. The wayfinding fix for the core will take longer because it is a very complex issue. :pilotfly:

Hey. We did some changes, so Alpha when disembarked will hopefully activate Bravo regardless of the wayfinding issues. If not? :helpsmilie: We added a Radio trigger to the Radio menu F-10 "ACTIVATE BRAVO TROOP" that appears after 60 seconds in the F-10 menu and will activate the trigger as well when needed. The new miz file is already sent to ED and we hope it will be part of the next Update :thumbup:

I will check it out as fast as possible. Bravo should be triggered when disembarking the first team at the building. The embark function is fixed but the wayfinding of the AI Inf leads to many issues. They will get into the Helo but they can't find the way :cry::doh:
