  1. AFAIK, it has been like that since 2008 Black Shark one. There is a lot of switches that either do nothing or are not modeled. Some examples: - “РАДИО” (Radio) button – Activates radio in transmit mode. No function - “ГРУЗ” Sling load button - No function. - “ПС ВОЗД” – Air-to-Air missiles hardpoints [LCTRL + U]. (No function) - Missile warning system with laser jammer, self protection system mode of operation select, No Function - Windshield washer fluid switch, No function - Brightness adjustment knob, No function To be fair ( and I am not sure if it applies to the KA-50), many real life aircraft do have a lot of switches that do nothing in the cockpit. At least the F-16 does in real life....I think the F-117 did also.
  2. Is not a bug, is working like the real aircraft. Simply rotate the knob clockwise until it uncages. To cage, pull the knob and rotate counterclockwise.
  3. I just tried Store Heading alignment in Open beta 2.5.6.43931 and it worked the same way it has in the last 4 patches/updates. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4193841&postcount=41
  4. AFAIK, If you have a lock target in STT or in TWS and you press Dog Fight Switch (ACM), it should maintain the lock. It won't do that currently, our options are: Switch to ACM, radar will be off ( as it should if the radar is not tracking a contact) TMS Up with Helmet mounted Cuing System (HMCS), will tell the RADAR to look where the HMCS is looking. So, press TMS up and hold, look at the target and place it in the HMCS ACM bore symbol (oval with cross in the center) Let go of TMS up, the radar will start looking. If it detects a target it will lock it. The radar should not transmit until TMS up is release. TMS aft, ACM should enter 10X60 search. a second press of the TMS aft should enter 30x20 No Rad (meaning radar is not emitting) TMS Right should enter 30X20 ( HUD FOV) To enter ACM slew, move the cursor enable in the X and Y axis (not currently modeled in Open beta 2.5.6.43931) I have not tried TMS up in ACM with HMCS off.
  5. You do not need 8 minutes
  6. AFAIK, HOTAS for Strafe (STRF) is a OFP M5.1+ update, which this versions of the USAF F-16C block 50 would not get until 2010 or later. Our DCS versions is a USAF 2007 version with OFP M4.2+.
  7. It is possible the mission was corrupted, did you re-save the mission on the new versions? Open Beta version 2.5.6.43503. If you re-save the mission and still have problems, can you duplicate the problems on a new mission created on new version of the open beta? If you supply a track, I lot of the guessing work would be gone and it will be far easier to troubleshoot
  8. Or if you want to go from AAM or MSL mode to Dogfight mode to get gun (EEGS) and AIM-9 symbology when transitioning from BVR or medium range engagement to close in or visual engagement.
  9. Could you post a track? What versions are you using?
  10. AFAIK, it should not provided the system has a Target of Interest (TOI), the target is within antenna parameters and and the FCR has good tracking. I am not sure if it must be in STT mode before the switch to ACM for the radar to maintain lock. This should only happen with no track target.
  11. In Nav mode, with landing gear down, Pressing the uncage switch should remove; Roll Indicator ILS bars Flight director Symbol DED data (if present) Symbology returns if WOW is detected, NAV or landing is exited. If you press cage/uncage after landing mode has been exited and reentered, HUD will not declutter.
  12. The switch will be labeled as off but the probes heat will come on with no WOW, that is one of the reasons we pull the circuit brakes when raising the aircraft with fuselage jacks.
  13. Probe heat should be on with no Weigh On Wheels (WOW) regardless of probe heat switch position. The switch is just there in case icing conditions exist on the ground prior to take off. I have experience this before but can't reproduce it consistently. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4172859&postcount=38
  14. As I posted, the F-16 manual was updated on 11 Feb 2020, it is written on the First page of the manual.
  15. Mine was updated 11 Feb 2020. What is the date on the front page of your manual? Where is it saved? My manual is in: drive that I save dcs into:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-16C\Doc
  16. Not that I am aware and not sure how that can help with overpeed. Are you staying below 800 knots CAS below 32k feet?
  17. Waypoints can, just depends what your doing, for example position updates. But non of that is in DCS currently on Open Beta version 2.5.5.41962. Anyway: I just tried again in NTTR, open beta 2.5.5.41962 Lets say you press TMS aft with the TGP as SOI in CCRP. The TGP will move the waypoint to the HUD. Switching to CCIP ( pressing NWS less than .5 second, not more like I erroneously posted) and re-entering the waypoint coordinates is the only way I see right now to recenter the waypoint. After re-entering the coordinate and switching to CCRP the TGP should go back to the correct waypoint location.
  18. Hold on, I am full off it. I just tried in NTTR and it did not work. I guess we need to wait for the systems to advance. The main thing do not press TMS aft, since the pod will center to the HUD and move the waypoint with it. I guess you can try that and then re-enter the waypoint original lat/long but I did not try that.
  19. Keep in mind the weapons system level of working progress, for me in Open Beta version 2.5.5.41962, to recenter the TGP to the waypoint, I switch from CCRP to CCIP and the back to CCRP using the NWS/AR disconnect/missile step switch on the HOTAS. You have to press it longer than .5 sec (IIRC) in Air to Ground mode to switch delivery. I would venture to guess this won't be the final version, just the way it works in OB 2.5.5.41962.
  20. As long as it is close enough to gets us to the right area, allow the option to simulate full alignment in minutes or STOR HDG in seconds. INS can and could be quite daunting. Between interrupted alignment, Auto-NAV, Enhance Interrupted Alignment (EIA), NAV Auto Realign Feature (NARF), IBIT, Best available True Heading (BATH), GPS key, GPS constellations, best possible normal alignment, In Flight alignment (IFA) with GPS, IFA without GPS, Position update, etc. Imagine if they spend the time and resources to simulate all of that? I doubt most of use would even use it or notice the difference.
  21. have you tried TMS right short as oppose to TMS up? AFAIK, TMS right should be the way to tell the FCR in TWS to select the targets.
  22. For STOR HDG you do not verify the initial position. Simply place INS knob to STOR HDG, wait 90 seconds and watch for "Align" to flash in the left bottom of the HUD. Once "Align" flashes place knob to nav. It does not on the RL aircraft.
  23. page 55 of the manual tells you what to do.
