What are you seeing? What is wrong with tail numbers? When I look in my DCS I am not seeing any discrepancies. I only use stock liveries provided by ED.

Keep in mind that weapons being damages is not always the case in Real Life after they are over-g. I have seen 370g wing tanks, rocket pods, AN/AAQ-13/14/28/33, AN/AAQ-131/184, TER, etc. being over-g. Not once did I see weapons being damaged. Most time the pilots notice and over-g condition while debriefing and looking at AVTR video, so they let us know. We inspect the aircraft depending of the severity of the over-g and removed any equipment to be inspected in back shops. I have heard of BDU-33 separating/dropping in flight after a over-g but I never saw an official report on it. So the way it is represented on other sims is not accurate neither. I think the way it is in the DCS MIG-21 Bis module, where if you over-G store they just separate from the aircraft, would be good.

I wonder, if DCS is simplifying the RCS of all aircraft, would the USAF F-16C block 50 circa 2007 have one of the many "HALF GLASS" paint job? If it did have one of the many "Half Glass" paint jobs, shouldn't it lower RCS slightly?

It took a long time, but I think I finally understand what you are talking about. So, during INS Normal Alignment, if you do not verify the Alt/long the RDY will flash on the DED and the ALIGN will flash in the HUD. AFAIK, the manual does not specify what symbology you will see if you do not verify lat /long during alignment. It only stated the INS alignment will be degraded and significant error will accumulate. So, in DCS, if you do not verify Lat/Long, you will see there are several problems with the navigation. For example:range to next way point may not be present in the HUD. MIDS may not work properly, etc. If you do verify Lat/Long during INS alignment, non of this problems will be present. That is why you press enter or re-enter latitude and longitude during INS Normal alignment. The only bug I see is the altitude, you should have to verify that as well withing the INS page in the DED, right now in open beta ver 2.5.6.44266 the Altimeter sets the altitude in the DED INS page, I need to read more to find the actual bug on that.

[NO BUG]negative g, red vision , manual pitch ovveride
mvsgas replied to luigipsic's topic in Bugs and Problems
You know where I can find that information? For example: I have seen the structural acceleration limits for a clean (no stores) 2008 USAF Block 40/42 is 9.5/-3.2g, but I can't find where I can read that the Digital Flight Control Computer (DFCC) will limit or allow a specific G. I seen the DFCC will limit AOA or Roll, and I seen the aircraft and stores have specific physical acceleration limits. So, where can I find what acceleration will the DFCC will allow in a USAF F-16C block 50 circa 2007? Please, do not post links nor inserts of the manual, just let me know the tittle of the manual and I will try to find it. Edit Found that on USAF block 40/42 circa 2008, maximum Negative G command is a function of airspeed. Above 250 knots maximum available should be -3, below 250 it depends on speed, altitude and AOA. Still need to find USAF F-16C block 50 circa 2007 information. -
For those having the problem with INS STOR HDG, Can you create a simple mission in Caucasus, Just the F-16 and try to do STOR HDG, does it work on not? Here is a mission made in Open Beta version 2.5.6.44266 STOR HDG test.miz If it works, ok. If it does not, please post a track and the details, for example, how are you getting out of the DED INS page? Now, try the same online. Write down the server, your ping to that server, the mission, how many people where there, was there people leaving and joining the server while you where aligning. Same thing, if it works, ok. If it does not, please post a track and the details. If you are using key (meaning commands from the key board or other devices) note this as well. I use the mouse on the cockpit and I do not experience any problems. My guess is either the command used or lag problems online due to high ping or people joining or leaving or object spawning in the server.

Looking at you second track, the only thing I can think off is that you are rushing the start. I can tell if you are using key commands. Maybe one of the key is assign to two things. Additionally, MMC should be on for 20 seconds before INS is align. I can not duplicate this problem. I can use the ICP and change radio or program bingo etc, without affecting Stor Hdg Alignment. Can you duplicate it in a Simple mission, just the F-16 in Caucasus map, or is this happening to you on that specific mission?

Not sure how this is still confusing people, it has to be the easiest thing to do within DCS. Once everything else is on, you are ready to go except the INS, you simply move the INS knob to STOR HDG, do nothing for 90 seconds. Do not confirm coordinates in Stored alignment.

Next F-16 Update ED to look at.

This Real Life example is an A model, do you have any USAF F-16C block 50 circa 2007 examples? This is a USAF block 30, do you have USAF F-16C block 50 circa 2007 examples? This is a block 30 photo, but RL USAF block 50 circa 2007 does not have an LED, it is a normal light bulb, hence the filter is installed to have NVG compatible light. Same with both intake lights and all 4 "wingtip" light, all are normal filament light bulbs. The Anti-collision light on top of the tail is not a light bulb, the flash comes from a spark. All the IR lighting are LEDs, those are separate lights, you can see those LED above the green tail light (Actual name is Navigation light) This is an A/B model intake, do you have a USAF F-16C block 50 circa 2007 examples? -
Unless someone gets a hold of a USAF 1F-16()-1-2 circa 2007 we can only guess what was clear to carry where. Using another countries -1-2 would not help since every country have different capabilities. An example of this is the Iraqi F-16C block 52, brand new F-16 that can't carry AIM-120. Not only does the aircraft does not have the software (AFAIK) the wing station do not have the needed connections and there are no AIM-120 available for them to load nether. Not sure if back then The Technical Orders already had change to CM on the tittle or the -1 series was still using CJ. I know by 2010, block 40/42 -1 series was still using CG. I know that from 1997 to 2012, in the 310 FS, 36FS, 510 FS, 555FS, 9th FS*, 8th FS*, 7FS*, 35 FS, and 80 FS we did not have, use nor plan to use LAU-88 (any version) Weapons crews did not train to load them, pilot did not train with them and No combat mission I was ever part of ever use LAU-88. Not over Iraq, not over Afghanistan. * F-117 Units (from 2004 to 2007)

https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3905823&postcount=1282 Here you can see the flight control movement during Bit check on a USAF block 50 F-16C. At 1:15, you can see the B system hydraulics on the left side of the aircraft dump overbroad, someone probably over serviced it. Note that the EPU check is done at 2:33, just after SEC check. The -1 mention how this can be delayed until prior to take off, but the -34 mention that the power cycle of the EPU could affect systems if avionics are powered during EPU checks and recommends EPU check prior to applying power to avionics.

I do believe is worth it now. As of versions 2.5.6.44266, the Air to Air radar matches documentation of the time. Is it finish? No, it still need a lot of work, but it does have a "a reasonably functioning A2A radar and gunsight" If you would like to jump in and do all the 2007 USAF F-16C block 50 after CCIP could do, I would wait since it still needs most air to ground capabilities. The aircraft is usable and so far has had the best representation of the 2007 USAF F-16C block 50 after CCIP I have seen. Hope it gets better. The other sim represents different F-16s and it is so mix up it is impossible to tell which version they are trying to represent. On every other F-16 Sim, cockpit gauges are all mix, so are capabilities, systems, etc.

[NO BUG]No time shown in DED network page OB ver 2.5.6.43931
mvsgas replied to mvsgas's topic in Bugs and Problems
You are correct, my mistake. This is not a bug. Selecting External Time Reference (ETR, GPS time on) as the Network Time Reference (NTR) does not require Pilot Enter Time...That was a lot of reading. -
I agree with Oceandar, you do not need to re align INS every time you rearm. Keep in mind we do not have a lot of INS modes available right now in Open Beta 2.5.6.43931, which I think is fine. Later on in the early access, hopefully we can get positional updates (with radar, or overfly or TGP, etc). Inflight Alignment (IFA) is supper complicated and takes 10 to 15 minutes, it is also more of an emergency situation in the F-16, requiring to fly straight and level in a non accelerated flight for several minutes, followed by specific turns and followed by position updates, not worth modeling in my opinion. It would just add to the confusion people seem to be getting on the INS.
-
No need to realign INS during rearming or refueling. Store heading is only use for alert or scramble launch in the Real aircraft. In the real F-16, main differences would be the rate that you get errors. Normal alignment will be good for hours. No need to worry about that if you a scrambling to intercept and aircraft. ED has give us the choice in DCS, if we want to simulate the normal alignment or if we just want to do the store alignment to just hurry and fly. Store heading in real life will require a Normal alignment first, on the specific spot your currently park. Then the aircraft is shut down and set up for scramble. So right now in DCS is user choice, which something the community is always requesting.

Is all in the manual, it has been for 12 years of Black Shark. Why change it now?
