1. I miss pickled engine runs, they where exciting.
2. Looking at the cold and dark start up video https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=232970 Why do the nozzle close during start up? Looking at it from F110-GE-100 experience. I am just curious about what design change on the -400 over the -100 causes this and reasons for it? Not saying is wrong, not arguing anything.
3. I heard the rhetoric before, anyone remember fighter ops? LOL That made laugh then as it does now.
4. On this photos you can see them load what looks like 3 GBU-38 on a TER, but this is in 2019, 12 to 15 years ahead of the DCS version. https://www.dvidshub.net/image/5098104/ordnance-bringing-bombs-with-vma-223-spmagtf-cr-cc-191
5. But GR9 has different equipment and does different thing. One example of this is the outrigger pylons/ stations. In the USMC AV-8B is wired yet never used. Even if the USMC AB-8B N/A from different year will have different capabilities since they went through so many update/upgrades. Even flying from Afghanistan or Iraq they are only caring single GBU. I think the 1A-AV8BB-TAC-050 (NWP 3-22.5-AV8B, Vol. II) from 1998 we can find is 8 to 10 years outdated in relation to the DCS versions, but it matches photos and videos of USMC deployments. When this manual was used, I don't think the Night attack AV-8B could carry the TGP. If we can find a newer NATOPS, that would be great.
6. Cool thanks
7. Im not pilot and No expert, but it looks like he did this to do what Cupra posted. Keep in minds that this may be different depending on the software.
8. That seems legit, good find guys. I never even thought about it. It matches what we outsiders see through deployment photos and videos. I wish we knew the years the DCS AV-8B is suppose to emulate. Most other module seem to be before 2010.
9. hOREqW9pBJI
10. The track might not work since it was done on a previous versions https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3789446&postcount=4
11. :smartass: In DCS - Going in for guns on a AAA site. - Try to depart the aircraft at low altitude. - Fly like an idiot most of the time. - Go for 1 v 10 thinking: " I got this" In RL - Replace engines - Replace landing gear components. - Replace flight control surfaces. - Replace Hydraulic components. - Inspected the aircraft while knowing what I am looking at. - Sitting on the back seat, looking out the canopy with a grin from ear to ear, Saying:"ohh that cool, Ahhh, that neat....what does that do? and that?" - Sitting on the front seat while the aircraft being towed around, making jet noises and pretending to fly.
12. I do not know. Turkish F-16 have some unique things (like most F-16 ) For example Some of their block 40 will have the smaller WAC HUD, while some of their block 50 will have the WAR HUD They still use the "sushi tray" (can remember the proper name), this is a movable glare shield that goes below the HUD and prevents glare on the HUD from the ICP. We remove those years ago with the NVIS mod. They used different software, they have different weapons. Some of their cockpit panels are different and are located in different sections of the cockpit. I do not know if they use a Modular Mission Computer (MMC) or the General Avionics Computer (GAC). Their block 50+ have larger nose landing gear tires and the D models have the larger dorsal. There are a lot of differences to them, most of it I do not know.
13. That is a Misconception, every F-16 is different. The country the years and the block all matter. Some example They have different radars, different versions of radars, different subversion of engines (did you know the F110-GE-100 has 4 subversion), different RWR, different Operational flight programs. Different cockpit arrangements, different landing gears, different structural supports, etc. Also consider the F-16 is made by Turkish Air Industries and Lockheed Martin. SABCA was also a mayor F-16 manufacturer and maintains most F-16 in EU. Three manufacturers, 27 countries, 40 years of service, there is a lot of differences between F-16.
14. Here is a different angle of that photo http://www.f-16.net/g3/f-16-photos/album39/album33/608
15. The photo is from aircraft 92-0266 Republic of Singapore Air Force So as of right now, the only F-16 capable of carrying AIM-7 are; US ANG block 15 ADF and block 25 Egypt's block 40 ROCAF block 20 Singapore block 52 Iraqi Block 52 As I posted before
16. I have zero influence on what ED does or does not do with the F-16C module. I am curious, what trigger you about the LAU-88? I mention the BLU-107 and 600g tank but you did not seem to have an issue with them. Also, do you have similar view about the GBU-12 and CBU? Meaning do you also think the F-16C block 50 circa 2007 after CCIP can carry 6 or 12 of those? Edit Since we are on a comparison thread, can the F/A-18 carry LAU-88?
17. Yes, some block 50+ from TAI have WAR HUD. I don't know all that can carry 600g tanks. I have never seen in in the USAF, but not sure what countries do use it.
18. Not necessarily. For the USAF this is true, not on other country. Some Turkish block 40 use the WAD HUD and Some of ROK block 52 use the WAR HUD.
19. I have only seen two max.
20. thanks
21. I am not arguing, I'm telling you. Whether you believe me or not is up to you. That picture you found is of an old block 32 or below. It has the small intake form a PW engine and the landing /taxi light on the main landing gear. Find me a USAF 2007 block 50 after CCIP photo and prove me wrong.
22. One of the reasons I ask is because not even the aircraft manual I seen define the radar versions. For example so I'm curious where you guys get the info. This is a direct PDF link https://apps.dtic.mil/descriptivesum/Y2009/AirForce/0207133F.pdf Here form 2008, they mention the V10 being terminated, but no mention which version is in service. https://wiki.scramble.nl/index.php/Lockheed_Martin_F-16_Fighting_Falcon Here they mention that the V5 was for US while V7 and V8 where for different export versions but does not define which. It also mention V9 where for 50/52+ versions (i.e. F-16I) So which is right, reliable and/or accurate? :dunno:
23. I do not have any documentation to prove the F-16 has not carry the LAU-88 for years. But I agree with Panther. Like I posted here https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3800674&postcount=395 In the years working the F-16, I never saw LAU-88 (any version) installed or on base. Not on demonstration loads, not in training. Not when deployed. Never saw weapons crews train to load it. Same goes for the BLU-107, 600g wing tanks. Not in Luke AFB, Osan AB, MCAS Iwakuni, Aviano AB, Zaragosa AB, AL Udeid AB, Decimomannu AB, Kunsan AB, Eielson AFB, nor Holloman AFB.
24. This is making me cringe, I'm embarrass for you.
