Not sure if I understand. You have all the manuals. Look in: drive you have DCS installed:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\version of DCS World \Mods\aircraft\The specific aircraft folder\Doc

[NO BUG]Datalink and navigation sistem not work.... is a bug?
mvsgas replied to Picchiorosso's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Please keep in mind -
Why not wait until rearming is complete? You only need 90 seconds to store HDG alignment.

Hornet doesn't have proper controls..???
mvsgas replied to Pitufo's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I guess I can't relate. To me ED control set up has been the easiest to change or configure to what ever the user prefers since the flaming cliff 1 days. I can't think why anyone would use a permanent switch as a modifier. I pick the video as an example, any button can be a modifier. Like I said I do not own a x56, but looking at photos of it online, just making the front 4 buttons on the throttles as modifiers and with the 5 had switches, would give you over 80 commands. Anyway, I was just curious. Hope you guys figure it out. -
As mention previously, please provide a track. To create a track, create a simple mission, recreate the bug. After exiting the mission, you should see the option to save track. Battery switch to off should not turn off the engine in the F-16

I forgot to mention, for Stor HDG alignment, you do not want to verify/re enter lat/long, just INS knob to STOR HDG, wait 90 seconds and align should flash in the HUD. Entering lat long affects the alignment and like the RL aircraft it changes the mode of alignment. So for normal alignment re enter Lat/long and alt (when is fix) withing 2 minutes of INS knob to Norm For STOR HDG you do not re enter Lat/long
-
Yes, It will still tell you range to steerpoint and in my experience waypoints are fine. The only current problem is you can not enter altitude in the DED ins page, but that is a separate problem not specific to STOR HDG.

I don't know how this is still and issue when in DCS currently you can have the aircraft up and running in 4 minute with STOR HDG alignment.

Hornet doesn't have proper controls..???

I do not own an X56, but with all the buttons on them, why do you guys have to write line in Notepad++? Wouldn't the modifiers be a lot easier? I use a Thrustmaster T-flight stick X and I hardly use the keyboard for any aircraft. I turn buttons 5 to 10 as modifiers, with that and the hat switch alone I have 72 different commands. For example on the A-10C ( another aircraft that allows partial speed brake) button 6 ( a modifier) and button 4 to open the speed brakes and button 6 and 3 to close them. I do the same for the F-16. On the MIG-21, I do not even use the keyboard. Just for example, modifiers can be any button that does not have anything else assign to them -

Sound like normal and intended behavior. That is the sole purpose of the manual pitch override switch. Some examples of the MPO being use after departure video is set to 6:20, just hit play. This is a direct PDF link to Semper viper, CODE One magazine. Page 10 has a good article about it. Keep in mind this is on old F-16, some of the details will not apply to the DCS F-16 https://www.codeonemagazine.com/images/C1_SemperViper_1_1271449318_9999.pdf

[NO BUG]TGP cannot designate target after cold start

No The avionics power panel would look different for that versions. Instead of INS it would say EGI and there would be no GPS power switch.

Just to clarify: - Starting the mission with aircraft running on the ramp is not good enough - Starting on the runway, not good - Starting on the air, not good - Store heading alignment allowing working system in 90 sec ( not realistic unless previously a full alignment was performed but an option in DCS) not good enough - Having an unrealistic gyrocompass time for alignment for a USAF F-16C block 50 circa 2007 still using RLG Part Number 890500-203 and prior to TCTO 1F-16-2489 and TCTO 1F-16-2570, that is the one that will be good enough? Just want to make sure I understand

If time is a factor or if Multiplayer, why not have the aircraft start on the runway or in the air? The current alignment implementation in DCS is closer to the RL version of the USAF F-16C block 50 after CCIP with OFP 4.2+ circa 2007 than any other sim. The DCS F-16 is still missing a thing or two, but is evolving nicely. Lets not change it because miss conception, because other erroneous implementations in other sims, for multiplayer or time constrains when we have so many other options available for those instances.

The thing is I am not seen this in Open Beta 2.5.5.41962 I set the INS knob to Norm alignment, re enter the Lat and Long at wait until time is 8.8 and .6 alignment. After doing, set INS knob to nav, that gets me distance and slant range to all Steer points/ way points. Both in NTTR and Caucasus. What version are you using? What map? could you load a quick track?

The real life F-16( many blocks and subversion) are full of this things. From the engine panel "Max Power" switch ( that is only for F100-PW-200, -220 and -220E) to the "BUC" and "EEC" in the caution light panel ( EEC and BUC are from F100-PW-200 engines). FTIT is another example, GE engine use EGT but the gauge still read FTIT (Fan Turbine Inlet Temperature, or the air coming through the High pressure turbine, before it enter the low pressure turbine) There are air scoops for equipment that never got installed like the ASPJ (AN/ALQ-165) The list goes on and on.

Not the world, but some specific models will have the flight area elevation data, but the data will not have man made or flora obstacles. AFAIK, you can not change elevation of way points or even initial point in the Open Beta 2.5.5.41962 DCS F-16, this is a bug but not sure if it has been reported, I have not looked.

Not sure what would make you think that. UAE pilots trained for years in Tucson AZ ANG. The aircraft where maintain by ANG members and the Instructor Pilots (IP) where ANG members as well. CFT have been cover extensively https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251958 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=123423 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=229643 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=227363&page=26 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=241934 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=246138 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=258903

I was TDY to the Kun with the 9 AMU/49FW around the time this happened. We could not believe it. Then they posted the video, I never got to see it since it was taken down very quickly.
